00:00Hey everybody, Brent Porsche from 93.3 WMMR in Philadelphia here and joining me from multi-multi-multi-platinum-selling band Nickelback, we got Mr. Chad Kruger. Hello, sir.
00:11How are you?
00:12Thanks for taking time to speak with us here at MMR.
00:14Buddy, thank you for taking the time.
00:16Yeah, appreciate it. So first off, or I should say secondly, what the hell, dude, I've interviewed you a couple times now and you couldn't have told me one of the first couple times that it was Chad Kruger, not Chad Kroger.
00:26So this is, it's coming up in every interview now. It's hilarious. See when someone goes, Hey, we got Chad, Chad Kroger, the frontman of Nickelback, you know, they've, they've done this, they've sold this many records and they go down this list of like whatever stats and stuff like that.
00:41And then it goes on so long. And then they say, how are things going today? By that time, if I say it's Kruger, it's just such a buzzkill. It's like, I just, I've just had to let it go for so long.
00:53But this is the, this is the 10th album cycle is the one I wanted to start telling people, like, if someone could please just say my last name properly, it'd be great.
01:03I mean, it's been what, 25 years we've been saying your name wrong.
01:06Word of a century. Yeah.
01:07Something like that. Yeah, man.
01:08Like the first time I saw anybody like, and I just got so used to letting it go, but I was with, um, uh, Jerry Cantrell and I were doing an interview together when we were on tour and, um, someone said, uh, Kroger and he just cut the guy right. He goes, it's Kruger.
01:24And then he looks over at me with like, he had a little bit of disgust in his eyes and he's like, dude, that's your last name.
01:31And Jerry was not having it.
01:34Well, like you said, quarter of a century, but we've been pronouncing your name wrong from the beginning, man. So apologies.
01:39Uh, anything else we need to know that we'd haven't found out yet over 25 years?
01:42Uh, you know, is it Nick LaBac or something like that?
01:45Yeah. Nick LaBac.
01:47Nick LaBac. Um, it's weird in Australia. They just, cause they shorten everything up in Australia. So they just call us the back.
01:53Uh, it's weird.
01:55Like, yeah. Uh, geographically you just become something different.
01:59Yeah. Right. Uh, so let's get right into it, man. Nickelback getting ready for album number 10, album number 10, your first in five years, of course, since Feed the Machine.
02:07Uh, it's due out November 18th called Get Rollin'. 11 brand new tracks. Can you tell me more about the new record? Like where did you write recorded anywhere special this time around?
02:17Um, most of it was done at the house, uh, because there was a lockdown and we weren't really allowed to go anywhere. So, uh, it was a good time to make a record.
02:27Um, except for one of the tracks, once everything loosened up a little bit, um, we rented a house up in Whistler.
02:36And we went up there and we recorded a song called wrote and recorded a song called, uh, those days. But other than that, so the other 10 tracks all here at the house, um, and just a really, really relaxed schedule.
02:51There was no hurry. There's no deadline. It's not like guys, there's the, the tour is already booked and you've got to, you know, hit the goalpost and there was none of that going on.
03:00And it's just, it was, uh, and it was really, it was a luxury we've never really had before, you know, cause it's always like make a record, go on tour, make a record, go on tour.
03:10Um, so just nice not to feel the pressure of record label and all that kind of stuff breathing down your neck to get it done.
03:15Nobody standing over your shoulder with a stopwatch. Um, and, and that was absolutely lovely.
03:20Cool. You produced the record with Chris Bayford, Bayford once again, he was on the last couple albums. You guys have seemed to, uh, find a good rhythm together, pun intended, I guess.
03:30Yeah, no, he's a, he's a, he's a ninja. He's so fast. He's so, when, when the creativity starts, um, I like somebody who can start getting the ideas down as fast as they're coming out of my, my noggin.
03:46Um, and he is able to do that and, and, and sometimes faster. So if, if you've got a guitar and you're in the room and you're starting to work on a thing, he's, he's clicking out the tempo.
03:59He's, he's starting to put down some fake drums just so we've got something to play to rhythmically. He'll start programming a face, uh, like a, a bass track keys, whatever we need, whatever's in there.
04:09And, you know, by the time I'm ready to lay the guitar part down, he's got a, he's got a track just sitting there in such a short amount of time.
04:17And it's, that's just wonderful to be able to just play to, you know, something that's, there's a little bit of structure.
04:23Uh, and, and I mean, he's been doing it so long. Um, it's, uh, it's just such a pleasure to work with somebody that talented.
04:31Yeah. We mentioned 11 tracks on the new record, get rolling again, do out next week. How many songs overall did you guys record for the album? Obviously, you know, a couple will be left off maybe for a bonus or something coming down the line here.
04:44Not, not as many as you might think, you know, I, I've hear these, I hear these stories of these bands and they go in and they record 22 songs and then they choose from that.
04:54Yeah. We try not to put a lot of time and effort into something. If we don't feel the immediacy of it, if it's, if it's not, if it's, if we have to sort of look at each other and say, you know, we've got a chorus and we've got a verse here.
05:10And if it doesn't get a hell of a lot better, you know, I, I, I just, I, that would just be some weird torture to just to have to record a bunch of songs that, that weren't giving me the feeling.
05:25So we, we, we, we abandoned ship on ideas pretty quickly if we're, if we're not getting that vibe. So I think, I think we might've, I think we did 12 songs and cut it down to 11.
05:41Okay.
05:41I mean, that's, that's it. And then there was probably three other ideas that were possibilities for the record, but we never even, we didn't even flush them out.
05:50They just, they're going to go probably into a vault and, and could be, you know, readdressed at another time.
05:56What about covers? Do you, do you guys, are you guys interested in covers at all?
06:00That's funny.
06:01Cause one of the songs that was on the record, the, so I think it was like the 12th tune was a cover tune and it was actually the 11th song at the time.
06:14So we, we did this cover tune and that was going to be it. We're done.
06:17And we'd never, we, we'd never put a cover tune on an actual record before. So this was going to be a first and we were, we were all enjoying the idea.
06:24And then I, I started noodling around with a guitar in, you know, beyond the 11th hour.
06:30Um, and, uh, Chris goes, Oh, that's a, that's really good. We should, we should record that.
06:38And so we laid it down and instead of it just going immediately into the vault, uh, to be looked at another time, I said, Hey, let's, I got another idea.
06:46Let me just put this down over top of it. And I played another part and then I played another part.
06:50And then the next thing, you know, I, I sang this line over it and it just started.
06:55And this song started coming to fruition so quickly. I call Ryan at home.
07:03And then this was like, this was midnight on a night and we were all just getting ready to go home and Ryan peaks at home at his place.
07:09And I call him and I played it for him over the phone. And he's like, I will be at your house first thing tomorrow to work on that song.
07:15That's going on the record. And I said, I thought so, but I wanted to check with you.
07:19Uh, you know, so you just never know when lightning's going to strike.
07:21Gotcha. So this quote cover song is this one that's going to be in vaults, at least for the time being it's in the vault for now.
07:27We'll see it. All right. So our first single from the record, get rolling was the hard hitting San Quentin.
07:34Uh, tell me about the music video for that song. It was filmed at a college somewhere up in BC, right?
07:38You guys set up a stage like in the courtyard or something of the sort and you invited the whole college to come out and be the crowd for the, for the video.
07:46Right. Yeah. We, we, we leaked it to the, to radio and we, you know, we wanted that.
07:50We wanted, uh, uh, people showing up to this thing sort of in a, a bit of an organic way.
07:56And, um, the, the college was, it was, uh, Simon Fraser university, which we just refer to as SFU.
08:04Um, they let us set up a stage and, you know, we've just, it was, it was great to get up there and, and, uh, and play the song.
08:14Well, we played the song several times, but it was, I mean, it just to be standing on stage with my band members again, uh, even though we were making a video, um, it just felt, it just felt amazing.
08:27You know, cause we hadn't played since the last time we played, uh, the last time we played was rock and Rio, um, 2019.
08:37Wow.
08:38That's, uh, that's everybody else.
08:40I feel like was waiting at a starting gate and as soon as the starter pistol went off, they're like, we're going on tour.
08:45Yeah.
08:47Wow.
08:47Since 2019, man, that's crazy.
08:49I mean, you gotta be Jones to get back on stage.
08:51I would imagine.
08:52Absolutely.
08:53So on my birthday coming up here, November 15th, um, we're going to do a really, an album release party and we're playing at, um, uh, Drake has a club in Toronto and, uh, it's called history.
09:07And it's a, it's just a small place, but what they keep telling me is that it's got one of the best PA systems in North America.
09:15And, uh, uh, so we're going to do that one, have some fun on the birthday, play a couple of the new tunes, rock a set.
09:22And then, um, we're also going to do, uh, a show, I think, I think Jersey, uh, Starland's one of them.
09:30Yeah.
09:30Yeah.
09:30And, uh, and then I think we're doing something in Connecticut as well.
09:33So just a couple of little shows, a couple of small shows here just to sort of, uh, promote the, uh, the album release, bring a little bit of attention to that.
09:42And then 2023, the big tour, um, we'll be, we'll bring the big show and, and the whole nine yards for that one.
09:49Cool.
09:49So, so again, get rolling.
09:51That's what we're talking about.
09:51The brand new record, the 10th from Nippleback, which is due out on November 18th.
09:55Uh, we mentioned Sam Quinn, the most recent single is the song that we were just talking about called those days, kind of a throwback to the good old days.
10:03Uh, you know, the more innocent days, posters on your wall, prank calls, rock in the stereo.
10:08My question to you, was your first slow dance, purple rain prints.
10:12Was that why the lyric came in for that song?
10:13Uh, I think, I think peak came up with that line.
10:18Okay.
10:18Um, I'm not sure what mine actually was, but I loved, but it's, it's not really about that.
10:25It's about, you know, people identifying with it.
10:28Um, I think, Oh my God.
10:35I just, it just came flooding back to me.
10:37I think it was every rose has its thorn by poison.
10:41All right.
10:41I'm pretty sure that's what it was.
10:43Wow, dude.
10:44Wow.
10:46Way to take me back.
10:48Um, I was a stairway to heaven from Led Zeppelin.
10:51There you go.
10:52That's the last song that they would play like every dance that we ever went to, like grades,
10:58you know, seventh grade, eighth grade.
11:01Um, as soon as, as soon as you hear stairway, man, the party's over, the lights are going
11:07to be coming on soon.
11:08That's right.
11:09That's right.
11:09So for the video for those days, were those old clips of you guys that were kind of sewn
11:14into the rest of the music video, those retro clips?
11:16Uh, no, they're not.
11:19Um, and I, I, people think that that's us.
11:21I'm not sure which I was trying to see which one was you, what was going on.
11:25It was kind of hard to tell.
11:26That's a, we just found some footage.
11:28Like we were just combing the internet for footage and we found this eighties video camera,
11:35you know, footage of these guys, these kids that were just filming their entire teenage
11:41years and doing all the same goofy crap that we've all done.
11:45And, you know, all the airband stuff, all the, you know, going to, going to the mall
11:50just, and there was the tons of it, tons of this footage.
11:54But as soon as you put that on, it immediately just pulls you right back to that era.
11:59It's so weird the way that happens.
12:01Like you see the little time code come up and you see the date and everything.
12:04It's just like, uh, 85, 86.
12:09Um, yeah, man.
12:10Well, one of my all-time favorite, uh, Nickelback songs thrown back is good times gone.
12:15Uh, you know, thrown back to the younger, dumber days.
12:17I know that, uh, you mentioned in a recent interview that that would be like, that would
12:21be one of your favorite songs to play kind of the deeper cuts at a Nickelback show.
12:24That is one of my all-time favorite Nickelback songs.
12:28All the shit we've done, you know, all, you know, all that stuff back in the day, man.
12:31Love that song.
12:31Wow.
12:32I, wow.
12:33You're, dude, you're, you're blowing my mind here.
12:35You're blowing my mind.
12:35Um, yeah, that's, uh, that is one of my, that's one of my favorite tunes that we have ever,
12:41um, written and recorded, um, that, so my buddy, my buddy's playing the slide, uh, this
12:48incredibly talented guitar player named Ian Thornley.
12:52Um, I am, I am not proficient with slide.
12:55I can, I can get it done a little bit, but, uh, um, I, I wanted somebody who had some really
13:00good chops, uh, to come in and start playing all these licks on there.
13:03And it just creates this, this beautiful texture over the whole thing.
13:09I mean, if you took that slide guitar out of there, the song just wouldn't be the same.
13:13It'd be kind of like, and I, I do this weird tuning where I go down to like, I just, I just
13:25take the bottom string to a, to a C.
13:30And then I just started doing this.
13:32So that I go.
13:36So just this, this, this, this, and then you start throwing that slide texture on there.
13:45Wow.
13:46I haven't played this in a long time.
13:47Yeah.
13:48They lost it on the Chesterfield.
13:51Um, that, that song takes me back to college when that album first came out and, and hanging
13:57out with my friends.
13:57And again, all the dumb shit that we did then, you know, when it comes flooding back now and
14:02thinking about that, that was one of the soundtrack songs for us, you know, back when that first
14:05came out.
14:06I didn't, I didn't realize cause my grandmother, I was referred to the couch as the Chesterfield.
14:11And that's like an old English term.
14:14I guess Chesterfield was a brand name.
14:17It's like saying, instead of, Hey, can you hand me a tissue?
14:19You just say, Hey, can you hand me a Kleenex?
14:21Right.
14:22You just go straight to the brand name instead of saying, you know, Hey, can I have a cotton
14:25swab?
14:25You say, I can have a Q-tip.
14:27Um, so she always referred to it as the Chesterfield.
14:31And I didn't realize that that was more of a Canadian thing that came via England.
14:36Cause there was a lot of Americans going, what's a Chesterfield?
14:39And I was like, what do you mean you don't know what a Chesterfield is?
14:44Yeah, no idea.
14:45I thought it was a cigarette.
14:46Was it not?
14:47Wasn't that a brand of cigarettes at one point?
14:48Um, that I shouldn't tell you.
14:50My grandma smoked Chesterfield.
14:51Yeah.
14:52Really?
14:52Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:54Uh, so let's get back to the new record.
14:55High Time.
14:56Another one of my favorites.
14:56I was fortunate enough to hear the new record, uh, a big bowl and bong riff to kick off the
15:01song, which I think is great.
15:03Um, and that's of course is where you get the title, get rolling because that's part of the
15:07lyrics, right?
15:07So that's where the title of the album comes from.
15:09Did you guys sample a cigarette lighter at the beginning of that song?
15:14Absolutely.
15:14Okay.
15:15So like that was part of it.
15:16Like, cause I mean, it was to the drum beat as the, as the layer was kind of light.
15:19Yeah, but we, yeah.
15:20So we built it because I think the, I think the reference point was, um, uh, money by Pink
15:28Floyd, the, the cash register doing the scene before the, um, and it just, it's like my buddy
15:40came in and, but we wanted it really authentic.
15:43So we're like, just take a big rip off this thing and, you know, fill those lungs up, baby.
15:48Right.
15:48Right.
15:49Right.
15:49Right.
15:49Right.
15:49In there with, uh, if you don't cough, you don't get off.
15:51And he does.
15:52That's right.
15:54You know, and then we've got the car door opening up and you can hear the, you know,
15:57and that's what started making the loop and then away we go.
16:04Um, but yeah, you, yeah, you, you're absolutely nailing it.
16:06We, we sampled, just, just went out and recorded all those things and then just built the loop
16:10out of it.
16:11Yeah.
16:11Really cool.
16:12One of my favorite lyrics from that song is every time we crossed eight lines, the grass
16:15we find on the other side always seems to twist up twice as nice.
16:19Twice as green.
16:20Twice as green.
16:21Right.
16:21Twice as green.
16:22That's right.
16:22Killer, killer line.
16:23So rather than ask you if you have a favorite song on the album, is there a song that you're
16:26extra proud of on the record?
16:29Extra proud of.
16:32Hey mom, which one of your kids is your favorite?
16:34Yeah.
16:35Yeah.
16:35Yeah.
16:35I know.
16:36It's a loaded question.
16:37I know.
16:39It, it, it just depends on the mood that I'm in.
16:41You know, if, uh, if it's, uh, if the sun's already gone down, I want to hear something
16:47off the record, like maybe, uh, skinny little Missy, um, something really heavy.
16:52Yeah.
16:53Um, and if it's the middle of the afternoon like this, you probably want to hear something
16:56like high time.
16:57Um, it really, and that's what the record's supposed to do.
17:00It's supposed to compliment whatever mood you're in.
17:04Um, cause if you're feeling, cause I, I, I love the fact that we're able to record whatever
17:13we want.
17:13I mean, we don't have to sit inside a genre per se.
17:18Um, if I want to write a ballad, I'm going to write a ballad.
17:20And if I want to write a metal tune, I'm going to write a metal tune.
17:25And, and thankfully for the most part, our fans have been very accepting of that.
17:29And, you know, we've recorded a funk tune, just all kinds of stuff because as someone,
17:35you know, it's, it's my job to create things.
17:39But if I'm going to create things, I want to be satiated as a creator.
17:42Um, you know, I, I want to be able to try all these different things and, uh, and, you
17:48know, then, then you just kind of hope that there's the acceptance level from, from the
17:52fans.
17:53Um, but it, it sure feels good as somebody, uh, who gets to, to make it.
17:58Um, cause when you go to make a rock song, you're like, okay, I know where we're going
18:01with this.
18:01I know, I know the, I kind of know the, the map as to where this should land.
18:06Um, but, uh, you know, it's, it's, it's also my job to try and put in things that take
18:14the listener on a bit of a left turn as well.
18:16Yeah.
18:17One of my, another one of my favorites from the new record is title wave.
18:19I just picture, cause I see the van on the cover of the new album, get rolling from Nickelback
18:24and I picture driving down like PCH or something like that with the windows down and that song
18:29on.
18:30And I mean, putting the whole album on and listening to it, but like, uh, with an album title, get
18:34rolling, like, and with the van on the front, I'm like, is this like a cruising album?
18:38You know, you just hop on the road, you put the windows down, you crank it up and go and
18:42listen to it cover to cover.
18:43And it kind of kind of takes you on a voyage.
18:45I hope so.
18:46Yeah.
18:46But, uh, you know, with something like title wave, it had, as soon as it started, as soon
18:52as we started, you know, working on this song and that was, that was the song that replaced
18:56the cover tune, um, was title wave.
18:58And, um, it, it, it just started coming together quickly.
19:04And as soon as I spit out this line, loving you is like surfing on a title wave.
19:08It's like, there's that excitement and a little bit of danger.
19:12And you also have a little, there's an expectation in the back of your mind.
19:17Like this is at some point in time, this is coming crashing down, but I'm just going to
19:20enjoy the ride while I'm on it.
19:22Um, yeah, so, but I, you know, it's so strange that I, that I never really tied those two
19:28songs, the, the, the, the title wave thing with the van.
19:33I don't know why I never put those things, those two together, but cause I just, I, I,
19:37I, I envision the song so differently, I guess it sits differently in my mind.
19:43Um, because the whole title wave thing was so much more metaphoric.
19:46Um, but then as soon as you bring in the van with that, and I was like, Oh yeah, there's,
19:51there's a, there's a definite connection here.
19:54Yeah.
19:54Yeah.
19:54Yeah.
19:54I mean, when I was listening to the album, I had it just kind of blasted me in the face
19:58cause I wanted to absorb it as much as I could.
20:00And, uh, it kind of runs the gamut.
20:03You got the hard and heavy stuff like San Quentin and skinny little Missy.
20:06And then as you get to sort of the tail end of the album with title wave and some of the
20:10other ones, it comes with like a mellower mood mood, but like, uh, again, like if you're
20:15cruising down the highway and you got the Pacific ocean on your side and you know, a song like
20:20that, like, you know, I love that you've already created the image.
20:23That's fantastic, man.
20:24I love it visual as I was listening to the song, but again, I was listening to it real
20:28loud cause I just wanted it to like, I wanted to immerse myself in it.
20:31You got the movie.
20:32You got the movie.
20:35So you can get the new album, get rolling on a different colored, colored vinyl, which
20:39I think is cool.
20:40Also CD and digitally, uh, which you can pre-order now up on Nickelback's website.
20:43Again, the new album get rolling comes out on November 18th.
20:47Do you still keep in touch with the guys from steel Panther?
20:50Absolutely.
20:51Yeah.
20:52Ralph, just, uh, um, the singer, I hate to ruin it for everyone, but his name is actually
20:59Ralph.
21:00Um, yeah, he just hit me up the other day and asked if I would, he wants to do a solo
21:04thing.
21:04That's just a little bit different than steel Panther and asked if I would be into getting
21:09in a room with them and, uh, and tossing some ideas around.
21:13So yeah, absolutely.
21:15Cool.
21:15Have you heard any of, uh, on the prowl from them?
21:17Do you want in February brand new record?
21:19I have not, I have not heard, uh, any of the new, the new stuff from them.
21:23I'll have to hit them up and, uh, and, and see if he'll slide me a song or two on the deal.
21:29By the way, uh, it won't suck itself as a musical masterpiece.
21:32Just saying, uh, what's a milestone you have yet to achieve both personally and with Nickelback?
21:43Ah, a milestone we've yet to achieve.
21:47Um, getting to every place on the planet.
21:52Um, we just did interviews yesterday with India and I, you know, after being in this band
22:00for 25 years, it's so strange that we haven't gone everywhere.
22:06And, and I, I did, I had no idea that we had a following there.
22:10And this, this DJ started listing off.
22:12He's like, we play and have played in this country.
22:16And all these radio stations have played so many of your songs from how you remind me to
22:21rock star, to photograph, to burn it to the ground, to you name it.
22:25He just kept going on and on and on.
22:26And the more songs he kept listing, I was like, we got to get to India.
22:31We got to get over there and play.
22:33Um, so that's definitely, uh, that's a milestone.
22:37I would like to, um, I'd like to accomplish that.
22:41I'd really like to make sure that we get to, I mean, it was, it was very recently that
22:45we actually made it to, um, South Africa.
22:49And we have quite the following, I'd like to make it to, um, a lot of, uh, we've, we've
22:59hit the Philippines, uh, we've hit a few, um, Asian territories.
23:07Um, I'd like to, I'd like to get over and even make it to China.
23:11You know, I'd really like to be able to see how global, um, this band can actually be.
23:17Um, and then in terms of personal, um,
23:21just what's a personal milestone.
23:27I, I, I, I, I'd like to, um, I'd like to be able to continue.
23:38Creating music, writing and recording the music and touring as long as we want to, I'd
23:48hate for it to get, and it will, I know it's going to get to a point because some of our
23:51songs are very difficult to sing, burn it to the ground being one of them.
23:58Um, I know it might get to the point where it's like, you know, age wise, my voice won't
24:04be able to keep going.
24:05Uh, thus far, uh, we're doing great, but I, like I'm only, I'm turning, I'm 47 right
24:11now.
24:11So, you know, I, I listened to Sammy Hagar still sing and he's, I think Sammy just turned
24:1875, uh, and his pipes are amazing.
24:22Steven Tyler could still sing the phone book.
24:26He can hit that high note and dream on like effortlessly.
24:29Um, so I have a lot, I have a lot to shoot for.
24:34Um, but yeah, I, I definitely like to be able to, to call it when, when, when we want to
24:40call it.
24:41Cool.
24:41Well, you mentioned Nickelback has a few live dates coming up to promote the, promote the
24:44release of get rolling.
24:46I'm, I presume 2023 is probably going to be a huge year for you guys.
24:50I mean, you kind of touched on it early on in the interview.
24:52Do we anticipate, uh, an announcement of any kind soon at the, so 2023, we're definitely
25:00slotted.
25:00I think that it's going to start in May.
25:04Uh, we're going to do somewhere between 35 and 40 shows, I believe across the U S we might
25:10pop into Canada for a few of those.
25:13Uh, so we're definitely, so that's, that's, they're just right now, they're just solidifying,
25:18um, the last couple of, uh, dates, uh, to get all the, the, the tour lined up, but, uh,
25:24that's definitely coming.
25:25Um, I'm, I'm going to just say right now, may, uh, is, is when people can start looking
25:30for, uh, I mean, but we're going to put tickets on sale probably the second, the, the, the record
25:38drops, you're probably going to see, you're probably going to see a tour announcement.
25:43Gotcha.
25:43Um, yeah, the powers that be tend to like to time all these things, you know,
25:47it's like, and now we're going to do this and now we're going to do this.
25:52Um, so yeah, we're going to get the excitement going with the record being dropped on November
25:5618th and, and, um, tickets probably going to go on sale.
26:00I, if I, I'd be shocked if they didn't go on sale within the next week and a half.
26:06Yeah.
26:06So heading into the holidays and stuff.
26:08There you go.
26:09Cool.
26:10Well, you guys know Philly loves you.
26:11Hold on.
26:11Wait, what?
26:12No, not that early.
26:14Nope.
26:14Not that early.
26:15I'm, I'm, I'm being told I'm being told here.
26:17Uh, back to the Nickelback news desk.
26:19Here we go.
26:20Oh, Oh, this just in, it's going to take a little bit longer for tickets to go on sale.
26:24I just found this out.
26:26All right.
26:27Uh, January 23.
26:29Wow.
26:29Okay.
26:29We're going to wait till January 23 to put tickets on sale.
26:32Okay.
26:33Right on.
26:34Well, you guys know Philly has a lot of love for you guys and Nickelback.
26:36So hopefully we'll see you back through the Philadelphia area in 2023.
26:39Would love that.
26:40Thank you so much for taking the time today, brother.
26:42Yeah, man.
26:42Absolutely.
26:43And real quick, this week, we're showing some love to Philly and Phil abundance, uh, with
26:46Preston and Steve's 25th annual camp out for hunger food drive, which is the largest
26:50food drive here in the country, raising much needed food and money and other resources for
26:54those in need.
26:54Would you mind reaching out to the Nickelback faithful and Nickelback nation to have them
26:58come on down and donate some food to the camp out this year?
27:02Uh, can I make a donation?
27:03Uh, yeah, yeah.
27:06If you would like, if you would like, sure.
27:08I don't want to put you on the spot.
27:10Are you not at all?
27:12Not at all.
27:12Oh my gosh.
27:13That would be amazing.
27:14Hunger.
27:14Hunger is one of the worst things in the world.
27:16Um, and with, uh, uh, a planet that has an abundance of it, there's no reason why anybody
27:21should go hungry.
27:22So if I could make a donation, that would make me feel absolutely wonderful.
27:26Oh my gosh.
27:26So if I could, if you could, what I want to do is when we finish the interview, I'll just
27:31get the information and then, uh, I'll send a check over.
27:34Okay.
27:34Wow.
27:35Thank you so much.
27:36Wow.
27:36Absolutely.
27:38Uh, well, best of luck.
27:39Let's just end this here.
27:40We're going to end it on a, on a good note, man.
27:42We appreciate it greatly.
27:43Best of luck with the new album.
27:44Get rolling.
27:45Again, it comes out on November 18th.
27:47Please stop by and see us here at MMR next time you guys are in town.
27:50And thank you so much for the donation.
27:52Ladies and gentlemen, Mr.
27:53Chad Krueger.
27:54Thank you, sir.
27:55Thank you, Brent.
27:56Appreciate it.
27:56Have a good day.
27:57Good luck with the new record.
