Wacky News: Cocaine, Fireworks and Popcorn!

00:00Q105. Why, look, Kathy, I just checked on the internet and there's another knucklehead.

00:05I'm telling you, they are everywhere. Let there be no doubt about it. And we've rounded up a

00:10couple of really good ones here at 525. Give you guys a smile on the Friday, Friday drive home.

00:14This is a funny story. A 41-year-old man in Western Pennsylvania, his name's Timothy,

00:19was arrested last Thursday because he would not stop shooting fireworks at his neighbor's house.

00:25The police already knew who this guy was because the day earlier he had called the

00:29cops to claim that people were trying to kill him. But when the cops showed up, everything was fine.

00:34Well, when they responded to the fireworks call, they found Timothy covered in sweat,

00:38acting erratically, and he was hallucinating. They had to tackle him when he reached for a knife.

00:43Once they cuffed him, they found cocaine and meth in his pockets. I was going to say,

00:49that sounded like it was a little bit more than one of those, hey, y'all, watch this.

00:54Right. He's facing drug charges, resisting arrest, and shooting off fireworks towards his neighbor's

01:00house because that could obviously burn down the house. And there may be some states where

01:04doing that is still illegal. Yeah, I'm sure. We get away with it here in Florida, not shooting

01:09them at houses, but up in the air. All right, while we're on the subject of drugs, you'll find them

01:14in some of the strangest places these days. But not, you wouldn't expect at the movie theater,

01:21would you? No, no. At the concession stand at the movie theater. Okay, getting your popcorn and soda?

01:28Mm-hmm. But there was a little more. You can pick up something else. There was a little more in that

01:31popcorn than just popcorn. The cops got tipped off that there was a woman behind the counter. She was

01:38actually the manager of a movie theater up in Minnesota, and that she was selling cocaine from

01:45the concession stand. She would literally put it in people's bag of popcorn. Oh, wow. Now,

01:51the popcorn was not cheap. Of course, popcorn is normally not cheap at the movie theater anyway.

01:56What do you pay, about 25 bucks for the big bucket? Something like that, yeah. Well, this was a

01:59smaller bag, but it was 100 bucks. Woo! But it had a little bit of cocaine in it, so the cops set up a

02:04sting to see what was going on, and sure enough, while they were there, she sold them some cocaine.

02:11Sold them drugs. And the popcorn. Oh, my gosh. And the popcorn wasn't even that good either. Yeah.

02:17So they got her on drug charges, and she's now facing up to 20 years in prison. Wow. And maybe

02:23she could run the concession stand in the joint. I understand she makes some pretty good popcorn.
