Stuck In A MRI

Dave went to get an MRI and had to be asked by the tech to stop tapping his foot to some Barry White that was playing in his headphones. A guy calls in about a mishap involving an inmates leg shackles and James reenacts the scene.

00:00I'm still dealing with some issue with my ear right all of a sudden I develop ringing in my

00:07ear and a little bit of hearing loss and they're still trying to get to the bottom of it but

00:10anyway so I had to go for an MRI yesterday oh yeah okay forgot about that and luckily I have

00:17no issue with confined spaces I can see why people freak out yeah me yeah it's right there

00:22I totally get it like as a bigger guy yeah my arms were touching the sides and I maybe could

00:28have lifted my head two inches like that's how tight this little cave is right yeah and uh holy

00:35hell are they loud yeah it's real bad did they give you the headphones they did mine didn't work

00:40they failed on me when I got my last headphones yeah like the it was a malfunction malfunction and

00:46I'm like uh the music I can hear every and it didn't they didn't really fix it no like too bad

00:53yeah like all that happens I tried just to relax and zone out and but so they obviously they get

00:59a wide range of people in there the music yeah they do they ask you what kind of music no they

01:04didn't ask me and it was all like 80s and 90s love hits oh they usually say perfect for you

01:09they let me pick my music there yeah me too they didn't give me a chance they didn't give me an

01:16option but here's the funny part so I'm now like 45 minutes in right so now I'm just really bored

01:22and I'm not even I'm just thinking about other stuff and this song comes on just fires up

01:28and I was like what yeah are they really playing this song but it was like Stevie Wonder I just called

01:38to say I love you like there was fits in all sorts of stuff right so I get okay so I this is playing on

01:44a nod and then I'm like listening to the words I'm getting into it I hear Mr. Hunter can you

01:52please stop tapping your foot can you please stop white person dancing

02:10it was just one foot my right foot was like we don't want to see it

02:16yeah I'm gonna toe tap the pool on the MRI machine yeah

02:21I'm gonna do the whole MRI again because you

02:32yeah and it's messing it up and I guess I was moving around a little bit but I was so out of it I

02:38wasn't even I didn't realize I was doing it but I was not expecting a Barry White song

02:44no yeah that's weird they didn't let you they let me pick my music

02:48yeah me too yeah I always say I don't care which is weird I don't know why I do that

02:57yeah oh wow I work in a hospital got asked to go down to the MRI machine with

03:02a buddy we had to rip off a metal hanger that was accidentally brought into the

03:07room unreal how strong those magnets are I can believe it yeah they ask you like

03:14five times to make sure you have one no metal in your body yeah two no metal on

03:18your person yeah even your mask that has you know the little metal at the top you

03:22can't take that in no yeah it is it's all very stressful um Joe Joe's in Tampa

03:30with us hi Joe good morning hey good morning man I got a quick little story um so I used

03:36to be a radiology technician and I used to work with MRI techs and uh one like one late

03:41evening we had to scan an inmate we thought if we could put him far away from the machine

03:46as possible we had to still have like um handcuffs around his ankles so he wouldn't run

03:51no so we strapped him down we strapped him down to the machine and then like the we all went back

03:56and through we started the scan two minutes into it the guy's feet launched up got attached to the

04:02machine and then in full gear with a belt with a pistol ran inside his whole waist launched like

04:11towards the machine he got stuck on it and then my technician had to run and purge the MRI machine

04:17which cost like a hundred thousand dollars to the machine oh my god so you had two people stuck to

04:22the machine yes and then the inmate was also like it was horrible like his ankles were like launched

04:28up top and he was strapped down he was like like all couldn't like all conjorted it was oh my god

04:33it's been him up yeah it's folded him like what yeah it's not oh my god I had no idea when they say

04:39no metal in that room they mean I know I mean any metal in that room yeah why'd they leave him

04:44cuffed like he was a bad dude apparently yeah it's a bad guy they want to take a risk yeah that's right

04:52they got plastic zip ties oh yeah I never thought of that I want to see the security footage of this

04:56whole ordeal I do too like you see the guys get launched up in the air

04:59oh my god I'd be like you gotta pull this footage and put it on the internet

05:15asap yeah straight to the moon with this viral video clip I bet they were like purge the entire

05:22video you're gonna put that video up there the hundred grand you gotta spend to fix the machine

05:27you're gonna make that times 10 yeah sorry criminal I don't know what you did hopefully

05:32it's something really bad if you got hurt yeah I don't feel so bad if you did something bad

05:36and you got hurt it's not a big deal but you know if you're a lesser offender and your legs are

05:42detached yeah at the same time I want to see this footage
