00:00I've been waiting because Terp is a Porzingis guy.

00:03Sure am.

00:03And so they need him to win.

00:06Terp has been needling me sometimes when Porzingis comes in after these big games.

00:10Is that a game where it proves how valuable he is

00:14and how much they need him to win a title?

00:15So this is a number that I crunched this morning, which is absolutely wild.

00:18The guy's 7'3", and the average distance of his made threes last night

00:23was 27.75 feet.

00:26But just for reference, the deepest part of the three-point line in the NBA

00:30is 23 feet and 9 inches.

00:32And this guy's just banging them from all over.

00:34Has he been asked about that?

00:36He was last night.

00:37I was going to say, I heard Mago talking about this today,

00:39and I didn't realize this because if you remember, Keith,

00:40early on in the year, I was very critical.

00:42I'm like, take a step up.

00:43Yeah, get a little bit closer.

00:44Why are you shooting from that far away?

00:46He always does.

00:47His answer, if I'm paraphrasing, if I heard Mago right,

00:49he's basically like, my efficiency doesn't drop at all

00:52when I shoot from back there versus at the line,

00:53so I might as well give us more spacing, right?

00:55Yeah, before he got to Boston, right after Washington,

00:58he looked at it.

00:59They experimented with his trainer,

01:02and the efficiency really didn't drop off.

01:03And he just said he's more comfortable shooting from further out,

01:06which if you're the Celtics, you take that.

01:08Already an elite floor-spacing team.

01:10And then you got your 7'3 center standing 30 feet away from the rim.

01:14It's dangerous.

01:15And you don't have to worry about your tootsies.

01:16Your tootsies can be on the line.

01:18You hit that shot to two.

01:19He doesn't fit in the corner.

01:20He hit one last night, but last year he was always on the line

01:23taking these corner threes.

01:24He seems to figure out how to fit over there a little bit more,

01:27but, I mean, that's a weapon for them.

01:29And he's also shooting a team best and career high 41.6% from three.

01:34Like, that guy is shooting a team, the full three-point shooter.

01:38Granted, his volume's a little bit less,

01:40or, I mean, a couple hundred in some of the cases

01:43with, like, Tatum and those guys,

01:44but he's still taking over 200 shots from three,

01:46and he's shooting 41.6%.

01:48Like, that's terrifying.

01:50He's in the top 10 points per possession in the post,

01:53and then he's shooting the lights out from three.

01:55So he's all the part of the unicorn, and we saw that last night.
