00:00Hello from the Bureau with your national weather forecast for tomorrow, that's Tuesday the 14th
00:04of January. So we'll start off by looking at tomorrow's weather map where we have this trough
00:09of low pressure that will be linking up with this cold front in the Bight moving eastwards. Now this
00:14trough is drawing down tropical humid air with gusty dry northwesterly winds ahead of it and
00:20much cooler southerly winds behind it. Now out in the east however, humid and unstable conditions
00:27will continue with showers and storms there. So we'll take a closer look at Queensland,
00:33out in the southwest, dry and mostly sunny throughout the day with these hit and miss
00:37showers and storms really starting to develop during the afternoon and the evening elsewhere.
00:42Daytime temperatures across the southeast are expected to be near average,
00:47grading to very hot about the west and inland areas where heatwave conditions continue. For
00:52Brisbane, a partly cloudy day with the risk of a shower or storm atop of 31 degrees. Heading down
00:59to New South Wales, we've got showers and storms developing across the eastern half of the state,
01:05particularly about the ranges and also about the coast. As we head out into the far west however,
01:11fine and sunny conditions. For Sydney, a partly cloudy day with the risk of a shower or storm,
01:18most likely during the afternoon atop of 29 degrees, while Canberra, partly cloudy with a
01:24possible shower or storm atop of 31. Moving down to Victoria, dry and mostly sunny conditions
01:31through central and western districts with these isolated showers developing about the far east
01:37with storms possible as well. For Melbourne, a partly cloudy day with afternoon coastal sea
01:43breezes atop of 28 degrees. Heading down to Tasmania, we've got these isolated showers that
01:50will contract and ease into northern parts during the afternoon and evening. Daytime temperatures
01:56between two to six degrees above average about western parts, much cooler though about the east
02:03coast. For Hobart, a cloudy day and atop of 21 degrees. For South Australia, we've got these
02:11really dry, hot and gusty northwesterly winds ahead of this trough, shifting much cooler southerly
02:17behind it. Now with that change, showers and possible storms are expected with the storms
02:23most likely about the western border. For Adelaide, a mostly sunny day atop of 32 degrees.
02:31Moving across to WA, we've got these gusty storms and showers across northern parts but also
02:37extending into the southeast as well. Much cooler conditions are forecast to extend across the south
02:43as that trough moves eastwards and also a risk of a shower or two about the southwest land division
02:49and also about the southern coast. For Perth, we're forecasting a mostly sunny day and atop of
02:5526 degrees. Shifting the focus to the north, we've got an increasing in shower and storm activity
03:02during the afternoon and the evening. For Darwin, a possible shower or storm and atop of 34 degrees.
03:10So if you're wanting to know more about your local weather, then you can head to the Bureau's
