00:00Welcome along to our national weather updates. A warm, humid feel for many on
00:04Tuesday. That will follow a fairly warm and humid night. Not a completely dry
00:10night. Some heavy bursts of rain over the Midlands, drifting over northeast
00:13England through Monday evening before heading out into the North Sea. One or
00:17two scattered showers for Scotland, Northern Ireland, but otherwise it is
00:20becoming dry. A lot of cloud rounds, misty, murky conditions in places and
00:25quite a warm and humid night with temperatures certainly higher than
00:29last night across Scotland and many towns and cities staying in the mid-teens.
00:33Quite a muggy feel to start Tuesday. Despite that muggy feel, many areas will
00:39start dry and bright, certainly across much of England and Wales and spells of
00:42sunshine for northeast Scotland and for Northern Ireland. Maybe just one or two
00:46showers here but most of the day will be dry. Outbreaks of rain across western
00:50Scotland, shifting eastwards and then we'll see a few more showers over
00:54England and Wales by the afternoon, particularly so in the west. But again in
00:58eastern England, where of course we could do with some rain, it is staying
01:02largely dry and still pretty warm and humid here with some sunshine in the
01:05southeast, east Anglia at 27-28 degrees Celsius. For most places, warmer than
01:11Monday and quite a humid feel for many too. Through Tuesday evening, the
01:16cloud will thicken further across the southwest. Misty, murky conditions
01:20especially around the coast and further outbreaks of rain coming in here. Some
01:23uncertainty about how far north that rain gets but we could see some heavier
01:27bursts on Wednesday over parts of northern England initially and it may be
01:31a fairly soggy day for the west coast and parts of the south coast of Wales as
01:35well. Some of that rain affecting southwest England. Scotland and Northern
01:39Ireland, yes some early rain possible but generally dry and bright here but
01:43turning quite blustery across the far northwest with the winds picking up and
01:46for much of the east Midlands, east Anglia and the southeast. Showers can't be
01:51completely ruled out but most of the day here dry and if we see some lengthy
01:55spells of sunshine, could be hot temperatures knocking on the door of 30
01:58Celsius across the southeast. A fresher day for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
02:04Still quite warm and humid stuck under this line of cloud which is a weather
02:08front which is likely to wriggle around across parts of the UK over the next few
02:12days. Some uncertainty about when it clears away, could bring some welcome
02:16rain to east Anglia and the southeast on Thursday before disappearing and then
02:20look at this, high pressure is trying to move in as we go towards the weekend
02:25which is for some parts of the UK a bank holiday weekend. So that may bring dry
02:30and fine conditions but there was the threat of weather fronts toppling in
02:33around the northwest. Quite a bit of uncertainty then about the details of
