Ingredients: 1 Cup Rava / Suji / Semolina 1 Cup Beaten Curds 1 Cup Jaggery 2 Tsp Ghee ¼ Cup Water ¼ Cup Milk Tutti Fruity Chopped Almonds (Badam) ¼ Tsp of Salt for taste 1 Tsp Baking Powder
Method of Preparation: 1. In a Bowl add 1 Cup Rava / Suji / Semolina. 2. Mix 1 Cup beaten Curds and mix it well. 3. Add ¼ Tsp of Salt for taste. 4. Add ¼ Cup Water and mix very well and let it rest for 30 minutes. 5. After 30 minutes add ¼ Cup Milk and mix very well and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. 6. Meanwhile melt the Jaggery with little water on medium flame and stir till Jaggery melts. 7. Strain the Jaggery Syrup into another bowl to remove impurities. 8. Let the Jaggery Syrup cool down. 9. After 10-15 minutes add the Chopped Almonds and Tutti Fruity to the Cake batter. 10. Then add 2 Tsps of Ghee to the Cake Batter. 11. Finally add the cooled Jaggery Syrup to the Cake Batter and mix it very well. 12. Grease a Cake Container with Ghee and place a Butter Paper at the bottom and also apply ghee on top of the butter paper. 13. Heat a wide vessel, place Salt at the bottom of the vessel and keep a stand to place the cake batter container. 14. Let the vessel heat on high flame for 2 mins with lid closed. 15. Then add 1 Tsp Baking Powder to the cake batter and mix it very well for 2-3 minutes. 16. Pour the cake batter into a greased cake container and tap 2-3 times to remove air bubbles. 17. Place the cake container in a heated vessel with the lid closed and bake it for 60 mins on low flame.
