Ingredients: Oil 1 Cup Akkha Masoor Dal (Soak for 30 minutes) 2 Cups of Water 2 Onions chopped 10-12 Chopped Garlic flakes 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds 2 Bay Leaves 1 Black Cardamom 1 Tsp Red Chilly Powder ½ Tsp Turmeric Powder ½ Tsp Coriander Powder 1 Small Lemon Size Tamarind Salt as per taste Coriander Leaves for garnishing.
Method of Preparation: 1. Heat a Pressure Cooker & add little Oil. 2. Add 1 Tsp Cumin seeds, 2 Bay leaves, 1 Black Cardamom & stir for few minutes. 3. Add the chopped garlic & fry till light brown. 4. Add Chopped Onions & fry till translucent. 5. Add 1 Tsp Red Chilly Powder, ½ Tsp Turmeric Powder, ½ Tsp Coriander Powder & fry for few minutes. 6. Then add little water so that the added masalas don’t get burnt. 7. Add the soaked Masoor Dal with Water. 8. Add 1 Small Lemon Size Tamarind. 9. Add Salt as per taste. 10. Then add 2 Cups of water for 1 Cup Masoor Dal. 11. Pressure Cook for 2 whistles. 12. Finally garnish with some fresh coriander leaves. Your Yummy & Tasty Masoor Dal is ready.
