00:00
Good morning to all of us. Today is September 1, 2024 and we have an update on the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
00:09
Earlier at 3 o'clock, the low-pressure area that we are monitoring was last seen.
00:14
In the 205 kilometers of Borongan City, Northern Samar, the chance of a storm remaining high within the next 24 hours is high.
00:25
According to our latest analysis, if it becomes a typhoon, it could move north-westward and then northward
00:34
and it will remain here in the eastern coast of our country.
00:38
We can see that it will possibly reach the eastern part of Visayas and Luzon.
00:47
At the moment, we can see that it will not hit any part of our land.
00:53
But because this is not yet a typhoon, it is still possible for our scenario to change.
00:59
We are still not ruling out the possible scenario of landfall.
01:05
We are just continuously monitoring and we will continue to provide updates that will give us hope.
01:10
At the moment, this low-pressure area is also experiencing widespread to widespread rains here in the Bicol region,
01:19
even in the eastern part of Visayas.
01:21
Central Visayas and some parts of Mindanao are also experiencing rains.
01:30
So be careful for our countrymen in the face of floods and landslides.
01:36
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon is still hovering in the northern part of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
01:44
At the moment, we are still experiencing widespread rains here in the northern part of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
01:54
In the next few days, we are also seeing the possibility of an enhancement of the southwest monsoon
02:01
or monsoon where strong rains will be experienced.
02:05
This is a large part of our country, especially the western section of Southern Luzon and Central Luzon,
02:13
including Metro Manila.
02:15
Again, because this is not yet a typhoon, we are monitoring that this is the possible enhancement of the monsoon.
02:23
It is still possible for our scenario to change.
02:26
So we are still continuously monitoring and we will continue to follow the updates that are expected.
02:34
For the time being, today is Sunday.
02:37
We are still experiencing heavy rains and landslides here in the Quezon and Bicol region.
02:46
This is a low-pressure area.
02:49
Meanwhile, we are also experiencing rains here in the Mimaropa region.
02:54
This is part of Habagat.
02:56
So again, we are still being careful for our countrymen in the possibility of floods and landslides.
03:03
Meanwhile, in the northern part of Luzon, including Metro Manila,
03:08
we are still experiencing isolated or sudden rains, landslides, and landslides
03:14
in Habagat and localized thunderstorms.
03:18
Our regional offices are still issuing thunderstorm advisories or warnings regarding these rains.
03:25
The average temperature in Metro Manila is from 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:31
Meanwhile, the whole part of Visayas and Mindanao,
03:35
today is experiencing a rainy season,
03:38
where we are still experiencing rains here in the eastern part of Visayas
03:44
and central Visayas, including a large part of Mindanao,
03:47
which is part of the LPA.
03:49
So again, we are still being careful for our countrymen in the possibility of floods and landslides.
03:56
Meanwhile, here in the northern part of Palawan,
03:58
western Visayas, Negros Island region, including Zamboanga Peninsula,
04:03
and Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi,
04:05
we are also experiencing high chances of rains, landslides, and landslides in Habagat.
04:12
The average temperature in Cebua is from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius,
04:16
while in Davao, it is 27 to 31 degrees Celsius.
04:21
And for our countrymen in the possibility of floods and landslides,
04:24
we do not have a high-level gale warning,
04:26
which is why our fishermen are far away.
04:28
Our fishermen should also have small boats for the sea.
04:33
However, we are still being careful for our fishermen
04:36
who will be fishing here in the eastern part of southern Luzon and Visayas
04:40
where the sea level will be moderate to high.
04:46
Here in Metro Manila, the sun will rise later at 5.44 a.m.
04:50
and set later at 6.08 p.m.
04:54
And for additional information,
04:57
this month of September, there will be two to three typhoons
05:01
that can enter our area of responsibility,
05:07
where according to our typhoon climatology track every month of September,
05:11
it is possible that it will pass or cross the area of southern Luzon to central Luzon area
05:18
or it is also possible here in the northern Luzon area.
05:22
And it is also possible that we have a scenario
05:24
that it will recur or not land in any part of our land.
05:30
And the next names of our typhoons are Enteng, Ferdi, and Hiner.
05:38
We will continue to keep you updated on the weather forecast
05:41
