00:00Hi, I'm Holly Alton, a food and drink writer for National World.

00:03Today, I'm going to be taste-testing a viral wine

00:06named the Chicken Wine,

00:09which has got Gen Z absolutely obsessed.

00:13The wine is a bottle of rosé named La Vie Ferme.

00:17I think I'm saying that right. It is French.

00:19And it's actually been nicknamed the Chicken Wine

00:22due to the chicken branding.

00:23It actually has nothing to do with chicken.

00:25It doesn't taste anything like chicken.

00:27Apparently, I haven't tried it yet.

00:30But yeah, it has the pictures of the chicken

00:32and that's why it has been nicknamed Chicken Wine.

00:35Now, this bottle of rosé is £8.50 from most supermarkets,

00:40which many have described as a really budget-friendly

00:44yet delicious wine.

00:46I'm going to give it a try to see

00:48if it is actually worth the hype.

00:54So I've just poured myself a little glass to give it a taste.

00:57Before I go in, I will say I am an absolute wine lover.

01:01And rosé wines used to actually be my favourite.

01:04They have been taken over a little bit now by whites

01:07and in the autumn, I do love a red.

01:09So I'm excited to go back to a rosé

01:11and especially since this one has gone absolutely viral.

01:15Yeah, let's have a taste

01:16and see if it is worth the attention it has been getting.

01:21Now, before tasting it,

01:22I will say that I am getting really, really good scents

01:27from this wine.

01:28It's giving floral, it's giving summer,

01:31which makes sense as to why it has become

01:34a bit of a favourite tipple for some

01:36while we've had some warmer weather.

01:38Now for the taste.

01:44That is delicious.

01:46I can totally understand now why it is as popular as it is.

01:50It's very light.

01:52It hasn't got that bitter taste that some wines have.

01:55In fact, it's a little bit sweeter.

01:56It's a good starting wine if you're getting into wine

02:00because it isn't too strong.

02:02It's light.

02:03It's kind of fruity, a little bit sweet.

02:05And yeah, a very, very, very nice sort of wine

02:09I've just had there.

02:10Yes, I can absolutely see now why that wine is popular.

02:14Absolutely delicious.

02:15It might actually become my new favourite brand of wine.
