00:07 Yeah, still a little bit disappointed after where we were a couple of weeks ago but we

00:12 just needed to finish well and we've done that.

00:14 I mean, first half wasn't great, came out in the second half and played some football

00:19 that we've shown over the course of the season which gave us the opportunity to challenge

00:22 near the top so just got to be pleased with that.

00:25 Keeping a clean sheet as well, we've kept quite a few of them this year so that's always

00:29 a positive.

00:30 So you took that play-off push to the last week of the season and then you've won your

00:35 last two games, obviously just short on the end but still been a really good season.

00:40 Yeah, from where we were at the start I think and what people expected from us was obviously

00:46 we've exceeded that, we've got to where we set a target.

00:50 We said we needed to challenge to get in the top eight this year, we've challenged to get

00:54 in the top eight, we've got in the top eight and we've challenged to get in the top five

00:56 but we just weren't there in the end so I think if we can keep the group together then

01:02 who knows next year.

01:03 You say, ultimately seven through 65 points which is obviously clear as progress for the

01:08 club and as you say if you keep the group together you've got that real base now to

01:11 sort of kick on again.

01:12 I think so and the group's good, the coaching staff's good, the dev team have won their

01:18 league, they're playing in a cup final so everything's positive.

01:21 You can see a big crowd again today, everything's moving in the right direction and if we can

01:26 just keep the playing side of that up with it then who knows where this club can go.

01:30 It's not just the first team you say, the devs have won their league, they're in a cup

01:34 final, it's the club as a whole really.

01:36 Yeah, you've just got to see the platform and that that we've put here and I've been

01:41 here five years now and it's always progressing and that's down to the club, the people behind

01:47 the scenes and then obviously the quality of the player we bring in as well.

01:50 Whatever you said at half-time obviously had the effect, 30 seconds into that second half

01:55 that Luke Perkins gets the first goal, it's pretty immediate that.

01:58 Yeah, sometimes half-time's not something that we want to remember when we have to speak

02:03 in a certain way but look, everyone's had Alex of Paramedic Football, sometimes you've

02:08 got to be told and they know they haven't reached the levels that they should do.

02:11 You want to give a big crowd a good send-off and you've just got to remind them that they're

02:16 playing for other people as well, not just themselves and I think they do know that but

02:20 at the end of season feel because there was nothing to play for and just at half-time

02:24 it was like go away feeling proud of something and to be fair they did that.

02:29 And get a nice bit of encouragement as well, it just shows the spirit in the group.

02:34 Yeah, Coxsey's been a great addition to the group to be honest and he's another one we

02:39 want to keep on board next year so let's see what happens.

02:46 Yeah, it's just a passage of play that we do these bits in training and we work on them

02:52 all the time and then when they don't do it in the game you wonder why and then when they

02:55 do it you look at them and go that's why we should be doing it.

02:59 Darnell's found the top corner, was it a cross or was it a shot?

03:02 I mean it's gone in, that's the main thing.

03:05 I think all they're trying to do is make sure Coxsey doesn't claim it so we'll let them

03:11 And then yeah, you kept going to the end and got two more at the end, a couple of subs.

03:16 Louis Russell came on to set up Jack Fowler, a sub and then obviously Jamie Hoppit off

03:19 the bench as well.

03:20 Yeah, so Louis has been away for a little bit now and obviously when he comes back into

03:25 the side, the way he plays and the way he is, it's infectious and that and it obviously

03:29 brings something to the side but we're now looking at a group of 22 people that can all

03:34 contribute to a shirt so it's exciting and to have changes from the bench to make a difference,

03:41 it just shows the quality that we've got.

03:42 Yeah, I was just going to say it shows the strength and depth now that you've got Louis,

03:45 Jack, Jamie, Adam, you and Art all coming off the bench.

03:49 Yeah, and they'd probably start on any other side in the league so we're proud to have

03:53 them and I'm pleased to work with them.

03:55 Yeah, good for Jack and Jamie obviously just to get another one to round off the season

04:00 each for both of them.

04:01 Yeah, exactly and I think it takes our goal tally to 99 for the season so in all competitions

04:07 for a club that never used to score many goals, it's not bad is it?

04:11 And finish off a clean sheet as well, I mean Toby didn't have too much to do today.

04:14 No, I think he had to make one save in the first half and then obviously after that we'd

04:18 probably dominate in the second half and I think we would deserve winners but I think

04:22 in the first half, Cambly were better than us and probably could have gone in ahead.

04:27 And in that second half, I see really emphatic dominant performance, pick anyone out in particular

04:32 or just good all round in that second half?

04:34 Again, we've spent all season making sure that we don't pick people out.

04:38 Individuals make differences in moments but I think teams are what win you things over

04:43 the course of time and I just gutted that I couldn't have this team together earlier

04:48 at the stage of the season because we definitely would have got more out of it.

04:51 Yeah, I mean with the form you've had since that first 13/14 game, since then your form

04:56 would be top five.

04:57 Exactly that but you've just got to look at that and make sure you remember where you

05:01 were and where you are now and obviously where you want to be and anything's possible if

05:06 you want to work towards it.

05:07 Obviously a well earned break for everyone now after a long season but presumably for

05:11 you you've already started thinking about next season?

05:13 Yeah, we've already had a meeting and obviously assuming that the club want to keep me here

05:17 then we've already planned to do things and what we want to do and how we want to do it.

05:22 Obviously we've got an end of season due and presentations evening to get through but already

05:27 you know things are in place to start next June I think it is.
