A Conservative councillor has accused Labour-run Birmingham City council as being probably the worst landlord in the city after a recent six-month investigation by the local government and social care ombudsman found five cases of severe maladministration. Failings were found with complaints and compensation policy- The council's chief executive has promised to improve services.
A 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman have been arrested after a man died after being in collision with a car in Sedgley, A 64-year-old man died after being hit by a car in the collision which happened at around 8.30pm on January 26 on Tipton Road. Police are appealing for witnesses.
