PM Narendra Modis Speech Highlights: Lockdown Extended Till May 3 As India Fights COVID-19

Prime Minster Narendra Modi addressed Indians to announce an extension of the nation-wide lockdown. He said the restrictions would be reviewed on April 20, given the difficulties faced by the country's poorest. He asserted the need for a strict lockdown to ensure that COVID-19 did not spread to a single new area so that India could come-out of the lockdown after flattening the curve.
