A news article is widely circulated online wherein it is claimed that an urgent notice has been issued by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to all pensioners. The purported urgent notice claims that pension benefits could be suspended if pensioners don't submit a "new form" by July 28. However, PIB Fact Check, fact-checking unit of the central government, on June 26, dismissed the news report as false. The claim about EPFO warning of suspension of pension benefits if new form is not submitted by July 28 is "fake", said PIB Fact Check in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
