這是葛莎雀吉第三張專輯，同時也是她個人首張西藏傳統歌謠專輯。如果你曾被葛莎雀吉的「度母化聲」、「花開時節」感動，那更不能錯過她這張「西藏傳統歌謠輯」。 有別於前兩張專輯的作法，本專輯完全以西藏傳統樂器演奏，並由葛莎雀吉親自擔綱製作人。專輯收錄她四處尋訪、學習西藏幾近失傳的古老歌謠，年代橫跨唐朝文成公主下嫁西藏時代到文革時期，每一首都充滿西藏獨特的活力與智慧。
看著日漸消失的西藏文化，葛莎雀吉發起一個心願，他要唱出真正屬於西藏的聲音，以保存並傳承祖先的精神與智慧。為了完成這個心願，他四處尋訪、學習，立志將這些幾近失傳的西藏古老歌謠重現人間。於是「被遺忘的雪域之歌」，就在葛莎雀吉鍥而不捨的信念下誕生了。
