Ingredients for Vada: 3 Potatoes, boiled & mashed Salt to taste 1/2 tsp Ginger, grated 1/2 tsp Garlic, grated 2 Green Chilies, finely chopped 1/2 tsp Sugar Coriander Leaves Lime Juice Oil for frying Gram Flour Batter
Ingredients for gram flour batter: 1 Cup Gram Flour Salt to taste Red Chili Powder Turmeric Powder, A Pinch Water as required
Method of preparation for Vada: Mash the boiled potatoes, add all the dry ingredients, tempering, lime juice and mix them well. Our potato mixture is ready. Apply some oil on your palm and start making small rounds of the mixture. Keep some oil to heat and start prepping for the besan batter. Take some gram flour in a bowl, add salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, mix them well and keep adding water simultaneously to make a batter. Dip the Vada into the gram flour batter and fry it on low flame. Our Vada's are ready, let's take it out on a plate.
Method of preparation for tempering: Heat oil in a vessel, add asafoetida, mustard seeds, turmeric powder, curry leaves, mix them well and add them into the potato mixture.
Assembling: Add garlic chutney and vada on a pav and our vada pav is ready to eat.
