MH17: Victims' bodies prepared to be transported to the Netherlands

The remains of some of the victims of the downed Malaysia Airlines jetliner have arrived at the Malyshev tank factory in Kharkiv, eastern Ukraine.

Flight MH17 crashed in the restive east five days earlier, killing 298 passengers and crew. So far, 282 bodies have been found.

Many of the bodies were left exposed to the heat for days.

Western authorities say there is evidence that the plane was shot down by rebels using a missile supplied by Russia.

Russia has suggested Ukrainian forces are responsible.

Two thirds of the victims were Dutch. Ukrainian officials say the remains will be transported from Kharkiv to the Netherlands.

Malaysian officials have now been handed the ‘black box’ flight recorders. Investigators hope they will provide vital information about what happened to the plane.
