EU warns Moscow of further sanctions if no progress made on Ukraine peace talks

Shots fired in Slovyansk pierced through the ceasefire in effect until Monday night.
The Russian President Vladimir Putin called for the ceasefire to be extended during a conference call with the leaders of France and Germany.
They are calling on the Kremlin to use its power to get pro-Russian rebels to disarm in order to begin peace talks.
In a residential district of Slovyansk three civilians were killed when the area was shelled. The Interfax news agency claims the artillery fire originated from the Ukrainian forces. Residents have had enough.
“What is it, a truce? How can it even be called a truce? Can’t Poroshenko and his newly-elected government see what is happening, that people are dying?” asked one Slovyansk resident.
According to Kyiv another conference call will be held tomorrow, in an effort to find a solution to the crisis.
