00:20christ from the love of god and the communion of the holy spirit be with you all good morning
00:26everyone today we celebrate the feast of saint alphonse ligauri he was a great man
00:34lawyer by profession and he left that profession and job received or accepted priesthood and he
00:44preached and he was a great moral theologian and doctor of the church
00:52he started a community called redemptorist the most redeemers
01:06he was selected as the bishop later and after some time he signed that post
01:11and he wants to become a simple priest he wants to live as a simple priest to give guidance to the
01:17youngsters as we celebrate this great man's feast he reminds us that our call is to give guidance to
01:33our youngsters
01:36to leave the gospel values
01:38and to show that through our own personal lives sometimes we fail to leave our call
01:47sometimes we fail to understand what it is let's take a moment to accept all our failures and
01:54weaknesses and ask pardon for that and prepare ourselves to celebrate sacred mysteries
02:00i confess to almighty god and to you my brothers and sisters that have greatly sinned in my forts and
02:14in my words in what they have done and in what they have failed to do through my fort through my
02:20fort through my most previous fort therefore i ask blessed Mary of virgin all the angels and saints
02:29and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the lord our god
02:34may almighty god have mercy on us forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life
02:41lord of mercy christ of mercy lord of mercy
02:48lord of mercy let us pray a god who constantly rise up in your church new examples of virtue grant that we
03:00may follow so closely in the footsteps of the bishop saint alphonsus in his zeal for souls as to attain the
03:08same rewards that are his in heaven through our lord jesus christ your son who lives and reigns with you in
03:16the unity of the holy spirit god forever and ever
03:20a reading from the letter of saint paul to the romans the reason why those who are in christ jesus are not
03:37condemned is that the law of the spirit of life in christ jesus has set you free from the law of sin and
03:44death god has done what the law because of our unspiritual nature
03:53was unable to do god dealt with sin by sending his own son in a body as physical as any sinful body
04:02and in that body of body god condemns sin he did this in order that the laws just demands might be satisfied
04:15in us who be who behave not as our our unspiritual nature but as the spirit dictates
04:25the word of the lord our response today lord teach me your decrees
04:38how shall the young remain sinless by obeying your word i have sought you with all my heart
04:44let me not stray from your commands lord teach me your decrees
04:50i treasure your promise in my heart lest i sin against you blessed are you o lord teach me your
05:00statutes lord teach me your decrees with my tongue i have recounted the decrees of your lips i rejoice to
05:11do your will as though all riches were mine lord teach me your decrees
05:21hallelujah hallelujah let your light shine before all that they may see your good words and glorify your
05:29father hallelujah lord be with you a reading from the holy gospel according to matthew glory to you o lord
05:39jesus said to his disciples you are the salt of the earth but if salt becomes tasteless what can make
05:51it salty again it is good for nothing and can only be thrown out to be trembled under food by men you are
05:59the light of the world a city built on a hilltop cannot be hidden no one likes a land to put it under
06:07the top they put it on the lamp stand where shines for everyone in the house in the same way your light
06:17must shine in the sight of men so that seeing your good words they may give the praise to your father in
06:25heaven do not imagine that i have come to abolish the law of the prophets i have come not to abolish but to
06:34complete them i tell you solemnly till heaven and earth disappear not one dot not one little stroke
06:45shall disappear from the law until its purpose is achieved
06:51therefore the man who infringes even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do
06:57the same will be considered the least in the kingdom of heaven but the man who keeps them and teaches
07:05them will be considered great in the kingdom of heaven
07:11the gospel of the lord
07:13blessed are you lord god for creation for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer
07:24you fruit of the earth and work of human hands it will become for us the bread of life
07:38the bread of the earth and work of human hands it will become for us the bread of the wine and work of
07:47human hands it will become our spiritual drink
07:53what
08:09but weigh mine into yours and my sins.
08:18Dear brothers and sisters,
08:19that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God,
08:22the Almighty Father.
08:24The Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands
08:26for the praise and glory of his name,
08:29for our good and good of all his holy church.
08:32Be pleased, O Lord, to enkindle our hearts
08:34with the celestial fire of your spirit,
08:37just as you get granted that St. Alphonsus
08:41should celebrate these mysteries
08:44and by them offer himself to you
08:46as a holy sacrifice through Christ our Lord.
08:50Lord be with you.
08:52Lift up your hearts.
08:55Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:59It is truly right and just,
09:01our duty and our salvation always and everywhere
09:03to give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father,
09:05Almighty and Eternal God,
09:07through Christ our Lord.
09:10For us on the festival of St. Alphonsus
09:11God, you bid your church rejoice.
09:15So too you strengthen her by the example
09:17of his holy light.
09:19Teach her by his words of preaching
09:21and keep her safe in answer to his prayers.
09:25Answer with the company of angels and saints.
09:27We sing the hymn of your praise.
09:29As without the end, we acclaim
09:31Holy, holy, holy, holy Lord, God of hosts,
09:35heaven and earth are full of your glory.
09:37Hosanna in the highest.
09:39Blessed is who comes in the name of the Lord.
09:41Hosanna in the highest.
09:42You are indeed holy, O Lord, the founder of all holiness.
09:48Make holy therefore these gifts, we pray,
09:50by sending down your spirit upon them like the dewfall,
09:54so that they may become for us the body
09:56and blood of all Lord Jesus Christ.
10:00At the time he was betrayed
10:02and entered willingly into his passion.
10:04He took bread and giving thanks,
10:06broke it and gave it to his disciples,
10:08saying,
10:09Take this all of you and eat of it,
10:11for this is my body
10:13which will be given up for you.
10:26In a similar way,
10:27when Subravas ended,
10:28he took the childless and once more giving thanks,
10:30he gave it to his disciples,
10:32saying,
10:33Take this all of you and drink from it,
10:36for this is the chalice of my blood,
10:38the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
10:41which will be poured out for you
10:43and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
10:45Do this in memory of me.
10:57The mystery of faith
10:58when we eat this bread and drink this cup,
11:01we proclaim it death, O Lord,
11:02until you come again.
11:05Therefore, as we celebrate
11:06the memorial of his death and resurrection,
11:09we offer you, Lord,
11:10the bread of life
11:11and the chalice of salvation,
11:12giving thanks that you have held this world
11:14for it to be in your presence
11:15and minister to you.
11:17Humbly we pray
11:18that partaking of the body
11:20and blood of Christ,
11:21we may be gathered into one
11:23by the Holy Spirit.
11:25Remember, Lord,
11:25your church spread throughout the world
11:27and bring her to the fullness of charity,
11:30together with

11:32our Pope, Charles,
11:33our Bishop,
11:34and all the clergy.
11:36Remember also
11:36our brothers and sisters
11:37who have fallen asleep
11:39in the hope of the resurrection
11:40and all who have died
11:42in your mercy.

12:21At the Savior's command
12:23and formed by divine teaching
12:24we died to say,
12:26Our Father,
12:27who art in heaven,
12:28hallowed be thy name.
12:30Thy kingdom come.
12:31Thou will be done
12:32on earth as it is in heaven.
12:34Give us this day
12:35our daily bread
12:36and forgive us
12:36our trespasses
12:37as we forgive those
12:39who trespass against us
12:41and lead us
12:41not into temptation
12:42but deliver us from evil.
12:45Deliver us, Lord,
12:46we pray from every evil.

12:50of your mercy
12:51we may be always
12:52free from sin
12:53and safe from all distress
12:55as we avoid
12:55the blessed hope
12:56and the coming
12:57of our Savior,
