00:00In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Peace be with you.
00:20Today is the feast of Saint Thomas, often called Doubting Thomas.
00:24He's good for us. Sometimes we doubt, but God doesn't give up on us. So we are called into this feast day to say yes to God, to say yes with our hearts.
00:34And Lord, I believe, help my unbelief. So we pray. You forgive our sins. Lord, have mercy.
00:42You call us away from darkness into light and hope. Christ, have mercy.
00:47And our faith gives meaning to our life. Lord, have mercy.
00:51May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
00:58Let us pray. Grant Almighty God that we make glory in the feast of the blessed Apostle Thomas,
01:04so that we may always be sustained by his intercession and believing may have life.
01:10In the name of Jesus Christ, your Son, whom Thomas acknowledged as the Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:29We are reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Ephesians.
01:33You are no longer aliens or foreign visitors. You are citizens like all the saints and part of God's household.
01:42You are part of a building that has the apostles and prophets for its foundation and Christ Jesus himself for its main cornerstone.
01:51As every structure is aligned on him, all grow into one holy temple in the Lord, and you too in him are being built into a house where God lives in the Spirit.
02:03The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Go out to all the world and tell the good news. Go out to all the world and tell the good news.
02:13Oh, praise the Lord all your nations and claim him all your peoples. Go out to all the world and tell the good news. Strong is his love for us, he is faithful forever. Go out to all the world and tell the good news.
02:27Alleluia, alleluia. You believe in me, Thomas, because you have seen me. Happy are those who have not seen me, but still believe. Alleluia.
02:39The Lord be with you. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John. Glory to you, O Lord.
02:46Thomas called the twin, who was one of the twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.
02:53When they said, We have seen the Lord, he answered, Unless I see the holes that the nails made in his hands, and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.
03:09Eight days later, the disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them.
03:18Peace be with you, he said. Then he spoke to Thomas. Put your finger here. Look here on my hands. Give me now your hand. Put it in my side.
03:27Doubt no longer, but believe. Thomas replied, My Lord and my God.
03:32Jesus said to them, You believe because you have seen me. Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe.
03:39The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
03:45There is no attempt to hide the humanity of the apostles. Peter denied Jesus. The others ran away. One of them betrayed him, Judas. Thomas doubted.
04:00They are humans like we are. And yet God never gave up on them. And he doesn't give up on us.
04:08And that prayer, Lord, I believe, help my unbelief. Our belief is not irrational. We don't have blind faith.
04:17It's based on experience, experience of others, experience of our human story. Yet we need to learn to trust.
04:25And to that Thomas say, Lord, I believe, help my unbelief. And we need to be able to say, With him, my Lord and my God.
04:40Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation. For to your goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth has given him and hence have made.
04:47It will become for us the bread of life. Blessed be God forever.
04:53Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation. For to your goodness we have this wine to offer. Fruit of divine work of human hands. It will become a spiritual drink. Blessed be God forever.
05:20Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God our almighty Father. May the Lord accept his sacrifice at our hands to the praise and glory of God's name for our good and the good of God's holy church.
05:42Amen.
05:44Amen.
05:45Amen.
05:46We render you, O Lord, the service that is your due, humbly imploring you to keep safe your gifts in us, as we honor the confession of the Apostle St. Thomas and offer you a sacrifice of praise through Christ our Lord. Amen.
06:02The Lord be with you.
06:04The Lord be with you.
06:07Lift up your hearts.
06:09Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
06:14It is truly right and just our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks.
06:20Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Christ our Lord, for you have built your church to stand firm on apostolic foundations and to be a lasting sign of your holiness on earth and offer our humanity your heavenly teaching.
06:36Therefore, now and for ages unending, with all the hosts of angels, we sing to you with all our hearts, crying out as we acclaim, Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts.
06:49Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
06:51Hosanna in the highest.
06:53Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
06:56Hosanna in the highest.
06:58You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
07:03Make holy therefore these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them that we do forth, so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
07:13At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread and giving thanks broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body which will be given up for you.
07:27In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be pulled out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
07:53Do this in memory of me.
08:00The mystery of faith.
08:03The mystery of faith.
08:04The mystery of faith.
08:05Save us, Savior of the world, for by your cross and resurrection, you have set us free.
08:10Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you've held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
08:24Humbly we pray that partaking of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
08:31Remember, Lord, your church, spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity, together with Leo, our Pope, me, your unworthy servant and all the clergy.
08:42Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection and all who have died in your mercy.
08:50Welcome them into the light of your face.
08:53Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Blessed Joseph, her spouse, with the blessed apostles and all the saints who have preached you throughout the ages, we may merit to be coerced to eternal life and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
09:12Through him and with him and in him, O God, Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours for ever and ever. Amen.
09:25At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
09:39Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
09:51Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil. Graciously grant peace in our days and by the help of your mercy we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
10:06For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
10:11Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles, Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
10:16Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your church.
10:19And graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will, who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
10:26The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Let us offer each other a sign of peace. Peace be with you all.
10:35Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world. Have mercy on us.
10:40Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world. Have mercy on us.
10:45Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world. Grant us peace.
10:50Behold the Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world. Happy are those who are called to the supper of the Lamb.
11:03Lord, I am not worthy if you enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
11:10My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
11:16I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
11:20Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, commonly, spiritually into my heart,
11:26I embrace you as if you were already there, and unite myself wholly to you.
11:32Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.
11:36Let us pray.
11:39O God, as we truly receive in this sacrament the body of your Holy Begotten Son,
11:46grant we pray that we may recognize him with the Apostle Thomas by faith as our Lord and God,
11:52and proclaim him by our deeds and by our life, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
11:58The Lord be with you, and may the peace and the blessing of the Father and of the Son
12:03and of the Holy Spirit come upon you and remain always with you.
