00:00One thing that you can kind of tell even from afar,
00:02it helps with what he said yesterday, Drake May,
00:05but just watching him out on the field, it's his team.
00:08So I have a top guy.
00:10I have nothing to compare it to.
00:11I haven't been to training camp in a million years,
00:13but that's what it looks like.
00:15If you didn't know any better, you're like, it's this guy's team.
00:18The way the crowd reacts, the way he carries things around,
00:20the way he's first up through drills,
00:22the way he is interacting out there on the field.
00:25I mean, it's corny, but I do think there's something to it.
00:28That's one of the things we wanted to see.
00:30And I also, now there is a significant drop-off from him
00:33to the next couple of guys.
00:34And last year, Jacoby Brissett came in,
00:37and it was just sort of like a weird camp in that regard
00:40because it was like he was clearly told he was going to be the guy,
00:43but was only going to be the guy for so long.
00:46So Drake May, I think, found himself in sort of a weird spot.
00:50Like he's one of the youngest guys on the team,
00:52doesn't want to completely overstep.
00:54But if you're a quarterback, you are a de facto leader.
00:56But how much do you want to do when you're getting a lot of like
00:58second-team reps, some first-team reps?
01:01I don't know.
01:01It's just another kind of issue.
01:03Like, you know, there's a handful of teams around the league this year
01:05that are probably dealing with the same thing
01:07where it's like a quarterback battle,
01:09but is it a real quarterback battle
01:10or is it already sort of a sham job?
01:12You don't have any of that stuff this year.
01:14This is like, all right, it's Drake May's team.
01:16No question to ask whose team it is.
01:18Yeah, but I think he's already kind of accepted that,
01:21and then all the players are going in that direction.
