00:00we are living in an age where clarity has been replaced by compromise and conviction by cowardice the most dangerous enemy to the gospel is not the atheist in the street but the false teacher in the pulpit especially when he comes wrapped in tradition history and familiarity
00:20there is a denomination well known culturally respected globally recognized that claims the name of christ but denies the power of the gospel and the tragedy is this millions sit under its influence trust in its rituals and hope in its promises without ever hearing the true gospel this is not a matter of denominational preference
00:50souls when a system teaches that salvation is earned mediated by priests or dispensed through sacraments it preaches a false gospel and paul tells us in galatians 1 9 if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received let him be accursed the gospel is not complicated it is salvation by grace alone through faith alone in christ alone
01:20so today we expose the dark side of a familiar denomination not out of pride but out of love because truth matters and eternity is at stake one a false gospel is no gospel at all the most dangerous heresy is the one that masquerades as truth when paul wrote to the galatians he was addressing this very issue a distorted gospel being taught by those who claim to represent christ
01:49his words his words were sharp and uncompromising if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received let him be accursed galatians 1 9 that's not a light warning that's divine condemnation why so severe because a false gospel cannot save it damns it gives people a false sense of security while leading them straight to eternal judgment
02:19and today there are denominations some large global and deeply rooted in tradition that preach a gospel of works ritual and human merit that is not the gospel of jesus christ the true gospel is crystal clear salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in christ alone ephesians 2 8-9
02:49any system that adds anything baptism communion confession indulgences or church affiliation is preaching a gospel that is contrary to what scripture teaches this is not about theological hair splitting this is about the core message of christianity
03:08if the gospel is wrong if the gospel is wrong everything is wrong you can get every other doctrine right but if you preach a gospel of works no matter how liturgical ornate or sacramental it is powerless to save

03:55error.
03:56The reformation happened for a reason, and those same distortions of the gospel that
04:02prompted it are still alive today.
04:05The gospel is not up for revision or reinterpretation.
04:10It was delivered once for all to the saints Jude 3.
04:15To protect it is not optional, it is a command, and to tolerate a false gospel for the sake
04:22of peace or popularity is to betray Christ himself.
04:272.
04:28Religious tradition cannot save one of the most tragic realities in the modern church,
04:34is that millions of sincere people trust in religious tradition rather than the finished
04:39work of Jesus Christ.
04:42They believe that by attending Mass, lighting candles, reciting prayers, confessing to a
04:47priest or observing religious holidays, they can earn favor with God.
04:52But the truth is clear, there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name
04:56under heaven, by which we must be saved.
05:00Acts 4.12 Rituals can't save, sacraments can't save, only Christ can save.
05:07In Mark 7.8 Jesus rebuked the religious leaders of his day, saying,
05:13You leave the commandment of God, and hold to the tradition of men.
05:18That's precisely what we see today in familiar denominations where scripture is subordinated
05:23to tradition.
05:25Man made systems and centuries, old rituals have become substitutes for repentance and
05:32genuine faith.
05:34This is spiritual bondage.
05:36Instead of calling people to personal faith in Christ, these traditions keep people dependent
05:42on an institution.
05:43They are told that salvation is found in the church, not in Christ alone.
05:49That grace comes through the sacraments, not through the cross.
05:53That forgiveness must be mediated through a human priesthood, rather than directly through
05:57Jesus.
05:58Our great high priest Hebrews 4.14-16
06:03What a tragedy!
06:04The gospel of grace becomes buried under layers of man, made requirements.
06:10Christ's finished work becomes overshadowed by human performance, and people remain lost,
06:16despite their religious devotion.
06:19We must understand, God does not grade on a curve.
06:23He is not impressed with robes, incense, or Latin liturgies.
06:28He looks at the heart, and the only righteousness that saves is the righteousness of Christ imputed
06:34to us by faith.
06:36Religious tradition can numb people to their true condition.
06:40It can give them a false sense of security while their souls are in danger.
06:46That's why we must expose this error not to be harsh, but to be loving.
06:51Because truth liberates, and tradition, when it replaces Scripture and slaves.
06:57Only a living, personal, repentant faith in Jesus Christ can save.
07:02All else is wood, hay, and stubble.
07:043.
07:05Authority belongs to Scripture alone.
07:08One of the greatest lies in church history is that the voice of man can ever carry equal
07:13weight with the voice of God.
07:16Yet entire denominations have elevated councils, papal decrees, and centuries of tradition to
07:23a level of authority that rivals, and often overrules, Scripture, that is not harmless,
07:29it is heresy.
07:31The doctrine of sola scripturis, Scripture alone, is not just a reformation slogan.
07:37It's a foundational truth of the Christian faith.
07:41The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient word of God.
07:47All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and
07:54for training in righteousness.
07:572 Timothy 3.16
08:00That means Scripture is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
08:07But in many denominations today, man's word has replaced God's word, religious leaders
08:14claim infallibility, councils issue decrees that contradict Scripture.
08:20Dogmas are introduced that have no biblical basis, and when challenged, they are defended
08:26with phrases like church tradition, or apostolic succession.
08:31That's not biblical authority, that's spiritual tyranny.
08:36God does not share His authority with man.
08:39Psalm 138
08:422 says God has exalted His word even above His name.
08:46To tamper with that word, to alter it, or to place human ideas above it, is to insult
08:53the very authority of heaven.
08:56This is not about minor disagreements.
08:58This is about the source of truth.
09:01When a denomination tells people they can't understand the Bible without a priest or magisterium to
09:06interpret it for them, they are denying the priesthood of every believer and the clarity
09:12of Scripture.
09:13When tradition becomes the lens through which Scripture is interpreted, rather than the other
09:19way around, the truth is lost.
09:22The result, false doctrines flourish, the gospel is obscured, and souls remain in darkness.
09:31The church must return to the word, not to creeds, not to councils, not to centuries, old traditions,
09:38but to the living, active, authoritative word of God.
09:42This is our only safe ground.
09:44Any gospel not rooted in Scripture is a false gospel.
09:48Any church not governed by Scripture is a false church.
09:52If Scripture is not the final authority, then error will always rule.
09:56For counterfeit unity is spiritual compromise.
09:59Unity is a beautiful thing when it is built on truth.
10:03But when unity is pursued at the expense of truth, it becomes compromise, and that kind
10:10of unity, no matter how noble it sounds, is offensive to God.
10:15In John 17, Jesus prayed that his followers would be one.
10:20But he also prayed, Sanctify them in the truth.
10:24Your word is truth.
10:26John 17, 17.
10:28True unity flows from shared truth, not from institutional alignment or emotional sentiment.
10:35Today, we are watching a movement of ecumenical unity that urges evangelicals to join hands
10:43with gospel, denying denominations for the sake of love and historic fellowship.
10:49But unity without doctrinal agreement is not spiritual.
10:54It is deception.
10:55The gospel is not negotiable.
10:58We cannot link arms with those who preach a different Christ, a different salvation,
11:04and a different source of authority.
11:07Paul asks, What fellowship has light with darkness?
11:112 Corinthians 6, 14.
11:15The answer is none.
11:16Yet many evangelicals, motivated by fear of division or desire for influence,
11:22are willing to ignore gospel distortion in order to gain broader acceptance.
11:27That is not faithfulness.
11:28That is betrayal.
11:30True love does not affirm error.
11:32It confronts it.
11:33A church that prioritizes superficial unity over truth is not loving.
11:38It's cowardly.
11:40False unity gives people the impression that doctrine doesn't matter.
11:44That differences in the gospel are minor.
11:46That as long as we all use the name Jesus, we're on the same team.
11:52But that's not what scripture teaches.
11:55The early church fiercely protected doctrinal purity.
11:59They didn't unite with false teachers.
12:02They exposed them Romans 16, 17.
12:05We must do the same, not with arrogance, but with clarity.
12:10Not with hatred, but with courage.
12:12Unity without the true gospel is a betrayal of the cross.
12:175.
12:18The gospel must be defended, even against the familiar one of the great dangers in the church
12:24today is sentimentality, allowing tradition, heritage, and emotional attachment to keep
12:32us from confronting error.
12:34But biblical fidelity demands that we contend earnestly for the faith, Jude 3, even when
12:42the source of error is a well-known, long-standing denomination.
12:48Just because something is familiar doesn't mean it's faithful.
12:53Just because millions follow a system doesn't mean it's true.
12:56Jesus said, Wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are
13:04those who enter through it, Matthew 7, 13.
13:08Truth has never been determined by popularity.
13:12Familiar denominations that deny the sufficiency of Christ, the clarity of the gospel, and the
13:19authority of scripture must be held accountable.
13:23We cannot excuse error because it comes dressed in tradition or cloaked in centuries of church
13:31history.
13:32The church must be courageous.
13:35We must speak the truth, even when it's uncomfortable, even when it costs us friends, influence, or
13:42reputation, because eternal souls are on the line.
13:46Paul didn't hesitate to call out Peter when he compromised the gospel Galatians 2, 11.
13:53We must follow that example.
13:56Silence in the face of gospel distortion is not neutrality.
14:00It is complicity.
14:02In the end, every faithful believer must choose fidelity to Christ or allegiance to comfort and
