00:00There is a movement today, popular, polished, persuasive, that wears the label Christian,
00:07but preaches a message utterly foreign to the Word of God.
00:10It fills arenas, tops best, seller lists, and floods social media feeds with slick slogans about love, acceptance, and personal breakthrough.
00:22But beneath the surface lies a disturbing truth.
00:26This is not the Christianity of Christ.
00:28It is a repackaged, repurposed, and radically redefined version that strips the gospel of its offense,
00:36waters down its doctrine, and elevates man above God.
00:40Jesus warned us in Matthew 7, 15,
00:45Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
00:52That's not just theoretical.
00:53That's happening right now, in pulpits, in worship gatherings, in so-called Christian movements that are nothing more than cultural conformity baptized in spiritual language.
01:06This isn't about criticism for the sake of controversy.
01:09This is about the truth of the gospel, the honor of Christ, and the eternity of souls.
01:14When movements claim to speak for God but reject His Word, we must sound the alarm.
01:20The time for silence is over.
01:22This message is a wake-up call to the Church.
01:25Test everything, hold fast to what is good, and reject every counterfeit.
01:311. Not all that claims Christ honors Christ we are living in an age of counterfeit Christianity.
01:37A movement can use the name of Jesus, sing His praises, and claim His power, yet deny Him with every doctrine it teaches.
01:46Matthew 7, 21 says,
01:49Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father.
01:56That's a sobering reality.
01:59Many today are calling Him Lord, while preaching a Christ He never revealed and a gospel He never authored.
02:07Modern movements have hijacked the name of Jesus for popularity, politics, and personal gain.
02:16He is portrayed not as Savior and Lord, but as a life coach, a therapist, a revolutionary, or a social reformer.
02:25His holiness is ignored.
02:27His call to repentance is muted.
02:30His cross is sidelined.
02:32But friends, the true Christ is not a mascot for man-centered agendas.
02:36He is the eternal, sovereign Son of God who came to save sinners.
02:42When a Christian movement prioritizes feelings over faith, tolerance over truth, and relevance over reverence, it doesn't honor Christ.
02:51It exploits Him.
02:52And to use His name while denying His word is not worship.
02:56It is blasphemy.
02:58We are commanded to test the spirits, 1 John 4, 1, and that includes testing movements that claim Christ.
03:06The label Christian means nothing if it is not backed by biblical doctrine and a faithful gospel.
03:13The fruit of any movement must be examined.
03:17Is Christ exalted as Lord?
03:19Is sin confronted?
03:21Is the gospel clear?
03:23Or is it all noise and numbers with no substance?
03:262 Corinthians 11, 4 warns of another Jesus and another gospel.
03:32That's what we're seeing to date churches and ministries growing, but growing in error.
03:39The goal is not spiritual success, but scriptural faithfulness.
03:43And if Christ is not honored as He is revealed in Scripture, then whatever banner a movement flies, it is not of God.
03:51The church must recover a holy fear of misrepresenting Christ.
03:55If we don't, we are not only tolerating falsehood, we are promoting it.
04:02Not all who speak of Jesus serve Him, and not all who sing His name preach His gospel.
04:082. The gospel is being rewritten to fit cultural agendas we are watching the gospel.
04:15The most precious truth ever given to man be rewritten in real time to suit the whims of culture.
04:22The cross is no longer central.
04:25Sin is no longer serious.
04:28Grace is no longer amazing.
04:31In its place, we get a gospel of therapy, self-empowerment, and vague spirituality
04:37that calls no one to repentance and demands nothing of its followers.
04:43This modern counterfeit gospel replaces truth with tolerance, holiness with happiness,
04:49and Christ's atonement with self-actualization.
04:52But the true gospel confronts the sinner, exposes guilt, and calls the soul to bow in submission
05:00before a holy God.
05:02That's what makes grace so glorious.
05:04It saves from wrath, not discomfort.
05:07It rescues from hell, not low self-esteem.
05:11Yet today's, Christian movements openly endorse cultural ideologies that contradict the gospel
05:18at every turn.
05:20Abortion, sexual immorality, gender confusion, racial division, and prosperity obsession.
05:28And what's worse, they do so while claiming biblical authority.
05:33They want the applause of men more than the approval of God.
05:37But Galatians 1, 10 is clear.
05:41Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?
05:45If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
05:50You cannot serve both.
05:53The gospel does not evolve.
05:55It does not bend to cultural pressure.
05:58It is timeless truth.
06:00When a movement adapts the gospel to match society,
06:03it is no longer the gospel of Jesus Christ.
06:08It is another gospel.
06:10And Paul says, let it be a cursed gal.
06:131. 8-9
06:15Don't be deceived.
06:17Movements that embrace cultural ideology while using Christian language
06:22are not reforming the church.
06:24They are betraying it.
06:25They are offering false hope rooted in human agendas, not divine truth.
06:31The call is clear.
06:32Return to the true gospel.
06:35The one that calls sinners to repentance,
06:38points them to the cross, and exalts Christ as Lord.
06:42The gospel needs no adjustment.
06:45It needs no modernization.
06:47It needs to be proclaimed, faithfully, boldly, and without shame.
06:523.
06:53Emotional experience has replaced doctrinal truth.
06:57One of the greatest dangers in the modern church is the elevation of experience over truth.
07:03Worship has become entertainment.
07:064.
07:06Preaching has become motivational.
07:095.
07:09Doctrine has become optional.
07:11And in many movements, feelings have become the final authority.
07:15This shift is not subtle.
07:18It's seismic.
07:19Churches now market themselves based on atmosphere, rather than theology.
07:25Lights, music, ambience, all designed to produce a feeling.
07:31But here's the question.
07:32Is the Holy Spirit present because people are emotional, or because the truth of God's word is faithfully proclaimed?
07:40To Timothy 4.
07:433-4 predicted this perfectly.
07:46The time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching,
07:50but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions.
07:57That time is now.
07:59The church has traded conviction for comfort.
08:02People no longer ask, is this true?
08:05They ask, did this move me?
08:07But truth is not measured by emotion.
08:11It is measured by fidelity to scripture.
08:14The Holy Spirit doesn't authenticate truth with goosebumps.
08:19He authenticates it with the word he inspired.
08:22In many movements today, the sermon is 10 minutes long, the worship is 45, and the gospel is nowhere to be found.
08:30The focus is on self, not Christ, on breakthrough, not repentance, on destiny, not doctrine.
08:38But the church doesn't exist to entertain the goats.
08:42It exists to feed the sheep John 21, 17, and sheep need truth, not just a spiritual high.
08:51If your Christianity is only strong when the music plays, your following experience, not Christ.
08:57Doctrine matters because Jesus said,
09:00You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
09:04John 8, 32, not emotion, not experience, not charisma.
09:09Movements built on emotionalism may gather crowds, but they don't build disciples.
09:15They produce followers of feelings, not followers of Christ.
09:19The call is simple.
09:20Return to truth.
09:22Let experience follow, but let scripture lead.
09:25Let doctrine shape your faith, not your mood.
09:29The true church must love the word, preach the word, and live the word, regardless of how it feels.
09:374. Unity is being used as a weapon to silence truth.
09:41Unity is a biblical virtue, but not when it's built on compromise.
09:46Today's Christian movements often parade unity as the highest goal,
09:51while sacrificing truth on the altar of tolerance.
09:54If you dare question their teaching, expose error, or call for repentance,
09:59you're labeled as divisive, judgmental, or unloving.
10:04But here's the truth.
10:05True unity can only exist around sound doctrine.
10:09Jesus himself said in Luke 12, 51,
10:13Do you think that I came to give peace on earth?
10:17No, I tell you, but rather division.
10:20The early church didn't unify with error.
10:32They called it out publicly and unapologetically.
10:37False teachers cry unity when they're caught in compromise.
10:41They use it as a shield to avoid accountability.
10:46They twist John 17 into a plea for spiritual coexistence
10:51while ignoring Jesus' prayer for sanctification in the truth.
10:55John 17, 17.
10:58Unity that contradicts truth is not unity.
11:01It's collusion.
11:03When movements say,
11:04Doctrine divides, so let's not focus on that.
11:07What they're really saying is,
11:10Let's not offend the world.
11:12But the gospel is inherently offensive.
11:15It tells man he is sinful, helpless, and under judgment,
11:19completely dependent on divine grace.
11:22This obsession with niceness
11:24has produced churches full of people
11:27who are united in error.
11:29There's peace, but it's the peace of spiritual death.
11:33There's agreement, but it's around lies.
11:36And all the while,
11:38those who speak truth are pressured to be silent
11:41in the name of unity.
11:44But Ephesians 4, 3 doesn't call for unity at all costs.
11:50It calls for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace,
11:54grounded in one Lord, one faith, one baptism.
11:59That's doctrinal unity, not superficial harmony.
12:04The church must not be afraid to separate from false teaching.
12:09Unity with heresy is disloyalty to Christ.
12:12When truth is under attack, silence is sin.
12:15If unity demands that we deny clear scripture,
12:19redefine sin, or ignore false gospels,
12:22then that's not unity, it's betrayal.
12:25Stand firm, speak truth, and remember,
12:28God is not glorified by unity built on error.
12:315. Christians must expose darkness,
12:35not embrace it.
12:36The modern church is facing a crisis of courage.
12:39Instead of confronting darkness,
12:42many movements are embracing it,
12:44justifying it with grace,
12:46excusing it with love,
12:48and rebranding it as inclusion.
12:50But scripture leaves no room for such passivity.
12:54Ephesians 5, 11 commands,
12:57take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness,
13:01but instead expose them.
13:03We are not called to tolerate spiritual deception.
13:07We are called to expose it.
13:09We are not called to coexist with false gospels.
13:13We are called to oppose them.
13:16Yet too many Christians and entire denominations
13:19are now more concerned with being accepted by the world
13:23than being approved by God.
13:26Jesus didn't die so we could blend in.
13:30He died to redeem us out of darkness,
13:32Colossians 1, 13.
13:35So why would we return to it,
13:37dress it up in Christian language,
13:40and call it ministry,
13:41when Christian movements affirm sin,
13:44deny hell,
13:45redefine marriage,
13:47or embrace worldly ideologies,
13:49all while quoting scripture,
13:51they're not being inclusive,
13:52they're being deceptive.
13:54Darkness that wears a cross is still darkness.
13:57And the most dangerous lies are those dressed in half.
14:01Truths.
14:02The church must be bold,
14:04not passive.
14:06We must speak plainly,
14:08not ambiguously.
14:10Souls are at stake.
14:11False teachers don't just damage theology.
14:15They damn people eternally to Peter 2, 1.
14:19And silence in the face of that is not kindness.
14:23It's cowardice.
14:24Don't buy the lie that love means silence.
14:27Real love warns.
14:28Real love rebukes.
14:30Real love tells the truth even when it's unpopular.
14:34Paul told the Ephesians to speak the truth in love,
14:37not hide it behind smiles and fog machines.
14:40And hear this,
14:42you cannot expose what you are entangled with.
14:45If you're afraid of offending,
14:47you won't confront error.
14:48If you're afraid of being labeled divisive,
14:51you'll stay silent while others perish.
14:54The call today is urgent.
14:56Come out from among them 2 Corinthians 6, 17.
