00:00beloved we are living in a time of grave spiritual deception the greatest threat to the church today is not government persecution secular hostility or cultural marginalization the greatest threat is within
00:15it is when the church of jesus christ called to be the pillar and support of the truth becomes a platform for lies when it exchanges conviction for compromise and scripture for sentiment when the church begins to reflect the world rather than christ it ceases to be the church it becomes a tool not of righteousness but of the enemy himself this is not new the apostle paul warned of wolves
00:45in sheep's clothing our lord said there would be tares among the wheat and throughout history satan's most effective tactic has always been religious deception using the name of christ to advance doctrines of demons churches that once stood for holiness now tolerate sin pulpits that once thundered with truth now murmur with half truths self help and social activism so we must ask what happens
01:15what happens when the church becomes a tool of the enemy and what must faithful believers do in such an hour let us look to the word of god for answers because the truth still matters and judgment begins at the house of god
01:31one the church's primary mandate is the truth the true church is not defined by its size its programs or its popularity it is defined by its fidelity to the word of god the apostle paul told timothy to preach the word in season and out of season
01:512 timothy 4 2 that command is not up for debate it is the church's central responsibility to proclaim divine truth with boldness and without compromise yet today many churches have traded truth for trends they chase relevance instead of righteousness
02:11they soften doctrine to appeal to the culture in doing so they betray their calling the church is not here to affirm people in their sin
02:21it's here to call them to repentance and to shine the light of christ into the darkness of a depraved world truth is not subjective it is not shaped by societal shifts or cultural moods truth is fixed eternal and authoritative because it comes from god
02:41john 17 17 17 says sanctify them in the truth your word is truth when the church abandons the word it ceases to be sanctified it becomes worldly carnal and spiritually barren the church is the pillar and support of the truth 1 timothy 3 15
03:03that's not poetic it's structural without the truth the church collapses without the truth our gospel is powerless our worship is hollow and our witness is false satan doesn't need to destroy the church from the outside he just needs to seduce it into error
03:20he knows that when truth is compromised he knows that when truth is compromised in the pulpit it will be abandoned in the pews and when truth disappears salvation disappears because people cannot be saved without the knowledge of the truth 1 timothy 2 4
03:34this is why doctrinal clarity biblical fidelity and theological precision matter we are not called to entertain goats we are called to feed sheep and sheep are nourished by the truth verse by verse line upon line precept upon precept
03:53any church that neglects any church that neglects or distort scripture has already lost its power it may draw crowds but it cannot make disciples it may grow in influence but not in faithfulness let us remember the church's power lies not in relevance but in truth to be faithful to christ is to be faithful to his word always to satan's strategy includes religious deception satan is not merely a liar he is the father of lies john
04:22john 8 44 his most insidious work is not in the world's atheism but in religious deception the greatest danger to the church is not external persecution its internal corruption the enemy does not merely attack the church from outside he infiltrates it from within in 2 corinthians 11 13-15 paul warns of false apostles disguising themselves as apostles of
04:52christ and no wonder and no wonder he says for even satan disguises himself as an angel of light in other words the devil's favorite costume is religion his most effective tools are not the debauched and the profane but the spiritual sounding and scripture twisting satan plants false teachers in pulpits he sends deceivers into seminaries he raises up influencers who read a
05:22they find truth minimize sin and distort the gospel they preach a christless christianity a bloodless cross and a gospel of self esteem rather than self-denial
05:33rather than self-denial jesus warned of wolves in sheep's clothing matthew 7 15 these are not obvious heretics they are subtle persuasive and often popular they quote scripture they speak of love but they deny the very power of godliness and tragically many churches embrace them because they're nice inclusive
06:03but they're no mistake satan has no mistake satan is behind it he loves religious confusion he thrives where there is no discernment
06:10and he rejoices when churches become spiritually dull blog biblically illiterate it looks colossally naive how does you do it slowly deception rarely comes all at once it begins past
06:26a softening of conviction, a toleration of error, a reluctance to name sin, and a refusal
06:33to confront falsehood. Before long, churches that once stood firm are preaching messages
06:39that contradict scripture, and they don't even realize it. That's why Paul told Timothy,
06:45guard the treasure, to Timothy 1, 14, the church must be vigilant. Truth must be guarded
06:52like a treasure, because Satan wants to steal it. If you think Satan isn't interested in
06:57your church, your pulpit, or your doctrine, you are already deceived. He doesn't need
07:01to silence the church if he can seduce it into error. Only a discerning, Bible-saturated,
07:08truth, loving church can resist the enemy's deception. We must test everything by the
07:15word 1 Thessalonians 5, 21, expose false teachers Titus 1, 9, and contend earnestly for the faith
07:25Jude 3. 3. Compromise with the world equals betrayal of Christ James 4. 4 declares, friendship with
07:35the world is enmity with God. That's not ambiguous. It's an absolute. To align with the values,
07:43ethics, and ideologies of a fallen world system is to place oneself in opposition to the Lord.
07:51And when the church compromises to gain the world's approval, it betrays the one who bought
07:57her with his blood. Yet that's exactly what we see in many modern churches. They pursue cultural
08:04acceptance, not divine approval. They exchange the offense of the gospel for the applause of the masses.
08:10They won't speak clearly about sin, hell, judgment, or repentance, because those doctrines are too
08:17harsh, too outdated, or too divisive. But the gospel is divisive. It separates truth from error,
08:24light from darkness, sheep from goats. Jesus himself said he came not to bring peace,
08:30but a sword, Matthew 10, 34. That sword is the truth, and the church is called to wield it faithfully,
08:39even when it costs. When churches support unbiblical ideologies, whether sexual perversion,
08:46gender confusion, or worldly justice movements, they do not merely make a mistake. They commit
08:53spiritual adultery. They declare allegiance to Caesar instead of Christ. They cease to be salt and light
09:00and become mirrors of a fallen world. The early church didn't gain influence by blending in. It
09:07gained power by standing apart. Peter didn't preach a seeker-sensitive message in Acts 2. Paul didn't
09:15alter the gospel to accommodate Roman culture. They preached the truth without compromise, and they
09:23suffered for it. The danger today is not persecution. It's pragmatism. Churches ask, what works, rather than
09:33what's true. They measure success by numbers rather than faithfulness. But Jesus never promised his church
09:42would be popular. He promised it would be hated John 15, 18-20. True Christians must be prepared to be
09:51outcasts. A faithful church may be small, misunderstood, and maligned, but it will never be used as a tool of
10:00Satan. Compromise, however, leads to spiritual ruin. Once a church aligns with the world, it ceases to
10:08confront it. And once it stops confronting the world, it starts conforming to it. We must choose the approval of men
10:16or the approval of God. You cannot have both. 4. Judgment begins in the house of God. The modern church often speaks of
10:25God's love, but rarely of His holiness. It celebrates grace, but neglects judgment. And yet, 1 Peter 4, 17 reminds us,
10:36it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God. That's a sobering truth. God's discipline begins not with the
10:44world, but with His people. When the church tolerates sin, exalts man, and abandons truth, God does not turn a blind eye.
10:54He brings correction, often painfully. He exposes false teachers. He dismantles corrupt institutions.
11:02He removes lampstands, just as Christ warned the churches in Revelation, Revelation 2, 5.
11:11God is patient, but He is not passive. He is holy, and He will not allow His name to be blasphemed by those
11:19who claim it falsely. In the Old Testament, He judged Israel for idolatry and disobedience.
11:26In the New Testament, He struck Ananias and Sapphira dead for hypocrisy, Acts 5. And throughout church
11:34history, He has removed His blessing from faithless churches. Many churches today are spiritually dead.
11:42They may have money, influence, and media presence, but no power. Why? Because the Spirit has departed.
11:50Like Samson, they do not even realize the Lord has left them Judges 16, 20.
11:57The church must not presume on God's grace. Grace does not excuse sin. It empowers holiness. And where
12:05there is unrepentant compromise, God will bring judgment, not to destroy, but to purify. That's why
