“Exactly 125 years ago today, the first passengers boarded the Paris Métro right here, taking Line 1 to Vincennes,” says RATP CEO Jean Castex. The former Prime Minister unveiled a commemorative plaque on the platform at Porte Maillot, where the city's first metro line was inaugurated in 1900.
