ಕೇರಳದ ನರ್ಸ್ ನಿಮಿಷಾ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಲೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಮೆನ್ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಗಲ್ಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಗಲ್ಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಇರುವ ಏಕೈಕ ಮಾರ್ಗವೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಬ್ಲಡ್ ಮನಿ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಮೃತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಆರೋಪಿಯಿಂದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಹಾಯ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ಬ್ಲಡ್ ಮನಿಯನ್ನು ಮೃತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ತಲಾಲ್ ಅವರ ಸೋದರ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
A Yemeni court has sentenced Kerala nurse Nimisha Priya. The only way to avoid her execution was to pay blood money, financial assistance to the family of the deceased, from the accused.
