Regan Corrin after claiming silver in the Island Games' long jump event
Transcript
00:01Really getting a second medal of the week, you must be delighted.
00:04Yeah, I'm absolutely buzzing with that.
00:07Although the aim was gold, I'm never going to turn down a silver medal.
00:10The Faroese guy, to be fair, was a good jumper.
00:13You've been beaten by the flying mullet there,
00:15so he was on his form today, wasn't he?
00:17Yeah, he had it in him today.
00:18I was hoping to catch him on a bit of an off day,
00:20but we were both on it.
00:21It was a better man one on the day.
00:23As I think Rob just said to you, you've improved massively in two years.
00:28Is that just because you're putting an enormous amount of effort in?
00:32Because you're at Wolfborough now, aren't you?
00:34Yeah, it's just pushing every day, just push yourself to exhaustion.
00:37Just find that extra gear.
00:39Even those times when you're not motivated, stay disciplined,
00:41just turn up, just keep turning up, that's all it is.
00:45I know, you're probably one of the busiest men in Team Ironman this week.
00:48You've had a few events.
00:49It's been great games though, hasn't it?
00:51Oh yeah, it's been amazing.
00:52The fans, everything.
00:53It's so busy and the adrenaline that gives you.
00:56You're just twice the athlete you could be, just with the crowd alone.
01:00It's so good, so good.
01:01And finally, your brother's in the team as well.
01:03That must be quite nice.
01:04Yeah, it's class.
01:05He's my brother, but he's also my coach.
01:07So I want to do well for him in his event
01:09and then support him when he's running too.
01:11Fantastic.
01:12Well, good luck for the rest of the week.
