Callum Stewart was on target again as Salop made it three wins from three in pre-season.
Transcript
00:00Post-match videos are back and Shrewsby Town have got their third pre-season victory of the summer this evening at County Rivals AFC Telford United.
00:12Shrewsby come away 2-1 victors thanks to Callum Stewart's brace in the first half.
00:17Two well-taken goals, the first with his head and the second when he's slotted beyond Telford keeper Brandon Hall and into the bottom corner.
00:26Shrewsby very comfortable in the game for the vast majority, probably the first 60 minutes, but Telford were better after the break and they got a goal back through Dylan Allen Handley.
00:39And then they had to weather a storm late on, to be fair.
00:42We've seen a really interesting post-match interview from Shrewsby boss Michael Afton, who's probably, I could say, is less than impressed by the final stages of the game from his Shrewsby players.
00:52So, I suppose, one to watch out for on the Shropshire Star website when those stories come up.
00:59But, obviously, the town boss not particularly pleased with what he saw.
01:03There were a host of changes made on the hour mark with Shrewsby basically putting on, you know, a full first team squad, kind of bringing on the big guns.
01:12But, actually, it turned out that, you know, Telford looked probably the more likely to go on and get the final goal in the game as they were the ones really pushing for the victory at the end.
01:25Ultimately, it is still only pre-season and there's so much football kind of still to be played before the opening game against Bromley.
01:34On August 2nd, the League 2 campaign getting underway for Shrewsby and Michael Afton's men.
01:41They're looking to bounce back after a pretty difficult campaign last year.
01:45It can only be a positive that they've managed to win three out of three.
01:48They've only conceded one goal, which I know, I'm sure, is something that Shrewsby would have wanted to address after conceding quite a few last season.
01:54But things seem pretty positive on the field at the moment.
01:59Another game against Kiddie, Bolton and then Burnley to follow as Shrewsby round off their pre-season campaign.
