00:00Mr Speaker, I was pleased to hear the Secretary of State in evidence to the Welsh Affairs Select Committee last week
00:04explained that Wales will receive a barmoth consequential of some £200 million
00:08as a result of transport announcements for English mayoral combined authority areas made in the lead-up to the spending review.
00:15But could the Secretary of State clarify whether she was referring to the Transport for City Regions funding,
00:20which was announced on 4th June, for the Chief Secretary to the Treasury has stated in an answer to a written question
00:25that it is not possible to identify the specific barmoth consequential arising from that programme?
00:31I thank the honourable gentleman for his question.
00:34My understanding is that the just over £200 million figure that I referred to in my evidence to the Welsh Affairs Select Committee
00:41relates to the combined mayoral authority announcements that were made prior to the spending review.
