00:00Hi there. Low pressure, unseasonably breezy with spells of rain. For some parts of the
00:06UK, Tuesday's weather will be very different compared with the weather we've often seen
00:11so far this summer. For north-western parts of the UK, we have had some wet and breezy
00:16weather at times. But the rain that's moving through the UK will, I suspect, be welcome
00:22rain for many southern and eastern parts, albeit not nearly enough to make up for the
00:27shortfall that we have seen through the year so far. And it's north-western parts that
00:31will actually see the wettest weather once again. North-west England, parts of Wales,
00:35the south-west of Scotland. Once the main band of rain pushes through north-east England
00:39and the Midlands, we'll see showers wrapped around the low, some thunderstorms for central
00:43southern Scotland, northern Ireland, parts of Wales, for example. And a lot of cloud,
00:49unseasonably breezy with the brisk winds wrapped around the low to the south of the centre,
00:53affecting particularly western parts of Wales and the south-west. Now, the far south-east
01:00could see one or two showers later, but otherwise it's mostly dry and bright. And some brightness
01:04there for the north of Scotland, where we do get the rain and the wind elsewhere. However,
01:09it is going to feel much cooler compared with recent summer weather. And we continue to see
01:16those showers coming down across especially the central parts of the UK through the evening. Again,
01:22some heavy downpours, some rumbles of thunder. Many of the showers move away though overnight.
01:27We keep one or two. But for the vast majority, it turns drier, it turns clearer as well. And it's
01:33going to be a cooler night for sleeping compared with many of the nights we've seen so far this
01:37summer. But it turns cloudier once again towards the south-west of England. Outbreaks of rain turning
01:42up by dawn, that keeping things milder. And I think that it's towards the south-west where we'll see
01:49the cloudiest and dampest weather on Wednesday. The rain band doesn't move far through the day.
01:56Elsewhere, still a few showers for central and southern Scotland, northern and eastern England,
02:00but these peter out by the afternoon. And for many, it's a drier and sunnier day once again,
02:05and a warmer, more humid day, mid to possibly high 20s in the south-east.
02:11And we'll get to see the cloud towards the south-west slowly filter into the south of Wales
02:17on Wednesday evening, bringing some spots of rain. Not much. Wet weather also returns to Northern
02:24Ireland at this stage. And this frontal system is associated with another low that turns up for
02:30Thursday. But this low is going to push to the north-west of the UK. And these weather fronts
02:35are going to linger across Western Scotland, Northern Ireland, north-west England. And again,
02:38that's where the wettest weather will be. Elsewhere, it's drier, it's sunnier, and it's warmer once
02:43again. But by the weekend, low pressure ends up coming along and bringing widespread showers
02:49and breezy conditions up and down the country. So a marked change of the weather on the way for the
02:54next few days, and a real difference for many places compared with summer so far. Bye-bye.
