00:24What's going on?
00:26I got a show to do
00:28I'm so scared
00:30I'm so scared
00:32I knew I shouldn't have watched that VHS tape
00:34You know what a VHS tape is
00:36It's a big box and you put your finger in the hole
00:38Over the box
00:40I got to do it
00:42I got to do it
00:44Welcome to the show
00:46I'm Murray Hill and this is
00:48King of Drag
00:50Shelby
00:52Music
00:54Music
00:56You never had nothing quite like me
00:58Say what you can
01:00I'm a real king
01:02You're in the presence of r-r-r-propriety
01:04Come on and get it
01:06I'm a real king
01:08I'm a real king
01:10Say what you can
01:12I'm a real king
01:14You're in the presence of r-r-r-propriety
01:16Come on and get it
01:18Yeah, I'm a real king
01:20It feels very sad
01:32But also I signed up for this
01:34I'm gonna miss Buck's face
01:36I'm gonna miss his cigarette
01:38I can't fathom that he's going home before me
01:41I walked into week two ready to rock on top of the world
01:45And here I am barely escaping out of the bottom
01:48This has been a big reality check for me
01:50Perka, you were incredible
01:52How do you feel?
01:54You know, honestly
01:56The stand-up was what I wanted to do the most
01:58Because I thought about going into stand-up
02:00And you killed it
02:01I can't believe that was your debut into stand-up
02:03That's like the most confident I feel like I've ever seen you
02:05It was so easy because I just got to be myself
02:08And I actually had a lot more things planned
02:10I did not get time to say
02:12And would y'all like to hear them?
02:14Yes
02:15I have a really unique life that I live
02:18As like a drag king, I get treated like a pretend man
02:21As a trans man, I get treated as half a man
02:24As a black man, I get treated as three-fifths of a man
02:27So good
02:29And again, if I offend you, my name is Dave Chappelle
02:32Or if you're Murray Hill, I'm molasses
02:34And speaking of molasses
02:37Second win!
02:39I wanted to win so badly
02:43You jerks
02:45I want to win this competition
02:47I've established that comedy is something that I can do
02:50And I'm here and the judges be noticing
02:53So...
02:54We're all up too late
02:55Let's get ready for next week
02:57Hell yeah
02:58Yeah
03:10Whoa
03:14Yes, seeing some scary things
03:16Already completely afraid
03:18But the things that are most scary to me are those makeup cards
03:20But yeah, it's L
03:22I ain't mad at L
03:24But yeah
03:25I like name branding
03:27So we see the makeup station
03:28I'm like, okay, I made it
03:29So, like, once I stopped being caught up in my station
03:32I was like, it's feeling a little spooky in here
03:34I see Henlo walking on a bedazzled knife
03:37Henlo, you know we're friends, right?
03:39I'm seeing skeletons this game
03:41Oh, I know what's about to happen
03:43Ooh
03:44My grandma had this too
03:45I ain't never yet
03:46Old school one
03:47Classic
03:48Both of them are gonna protect us
03:49Yeah
03:50Protect us
04:00I'm sorry, I did not sign up for a haunted house
04:02Is this a drag competition?
04:03Or the Texas Chainsaw Massacre?
04:09I'm just not trying to die first, you know?
04:11What kind of poltergeist is this?
04:13Danger, I shouldn't be here
04:14Oh my God, what's gonna happen?
04:16Bring
04:17Me
04:18King
04:19Is that Murray?
04:22G-Parts?
04:25Oh my God
04:27God damn it Murray
04:28Showbiz
04:30Hello, my bootiful kings
04:33If you haven't already guessed
04:35This week's theme is horror
04:37Whoa
04:39From Rocky Horror Picture Show
04:41To I Saw the TV Glow
04:43Queers have always been obsessed with the creepies and the crawlies
04:48You know, the things that go up in the night
04:51Showbiz
04:52It's horror week, it's my week
04:54I've spent eight years working at a haunt
04:56So I am so happy that I get to flex my skills here
05:00And bring the horror to everyone
05:01I don't watch scary movies
05:02I don't watch scary movies
05:03This is not my thing, but I'm here
05:05If I'm in the bottom for the scary boy challenge
05:09Might as well just go and burn all the drag
05:11Because this is something that should be up my alley
05:13If I'm not in the top or at least safe in this one
05:16Then what am I even doing here?
05:17For today's weenie challenge
05:19We have something frightfully fun in store
05:23Joining us today is a member of the King's Court
05:27And Brooklyn's own Queen of the Night, Sasha Velour
05:32Sasha Velour is known as the Queen of the Kings
05:44She has championed Kings her entire career
05:47And did you know she's a drag king too?
05:50Check it out, y'all
05:51Hi, Kings
05:52Hola
05:53I've loved seeing your funny sides
05:55But I'm even more excited to delve into your darkness
05:59Kings, your weenie challenge is
06:03Bo and the Beast
06:07As you may have noticed
06:09Your workstations have been stocked with elf cosmetics
06:13Your task is to create a makeup look that is half glamour and half monster
06:20To help you achieve this split personality sleigh
06:25You must exclusively use elf cosmetics for only the glamour side of your face
06:32We want to see handsome and horrible, hunky and hideous, dapper and demonic
06:41Just like the two of us
06:42Which one am I?
06:43Oh god, go ahead
06:44No comment
06:45The two sides of your face though should be in conversation with one another
06:48Half and half makeup looks
06:50I've done these on myself
06:51I've done them on clients
06:52I've done them on actors
06:53This feels like a very comfortable and wonderful place to be
06:56You have 45 minutes to create your quick drag bow and the beast look
07:02Wait, is 45 minutes quick?
07:03That's extremely quick, this takes hours
07:05Oh my god, definitely not enough time
07:08But elf cosmetics, give me strength, let's go
07:12I have never done half and half makeup look
07:15I'm a little bit nervous just because Sasha is gonna be intently looking
07:21Alright kings, now let's go get freaky
07:25And you, let's go get freaky
07:29Let's go get freaky
07:30Let's go get freaky
07:31Come on, I'll get you, let's go
07:32Let me get this door for you
07:33Oh thanks
07:34Yeah I'm a real king
07:37Yes, look at these options
08:01I ain't never had fancy stuff like this
08:06Thank you Auntie Elf
08:07Okay
08:09Activating glamour puss
08:12I'm feeling scared
08:1445 minutes is not enough time to even wake up in the morning
08:18Honestly I'd be snoozing the alarm
08:20I think everyone's kinda looking like they gonna turn the corner on me this week
08:24Henlo, you coming for the crown this week?
08:25Oh yeah
08:26We're gonna have a new winning streak happening
08:28Oh
08:29And it starts today
08:30I can't wait
08:32The first week I was in the bottom
08:34Last week I was safe
08:35I really gotta keep this rise going
08:37It's time to hit the top of the pack
08:38As a haunt makeup artist
08:40We're asked to do some looks
08:41Full face looks in five minutes
08:43My career as it exists now
08:45Is inextricable from horror
08:47The costuming work that I do would not have begun
08:50My FX work, my glamour makeup work
08:54Is colored and shaped by horror
08:56Wait, this is left, right?
08:57Yes it is, okay
08:58Yeah
08:59On the bow side, just basic pretty boy
09:01And then on the beast side
09:03Thankfully I had my thinking cap
09:04I was like, okay, well, zombie
09:06I don't know what makeup brush is supposed to do what
09:08Hey, but that's the beauty of drag and makeup
09:11Do with it what you want
09:12Even though I'm good at makeup
09:14I'm not a makeup artist
09:15A makeup artist
09:17Educated
09:18Knows what they're doing
09:19Me
09:20I guess this looks good
09:22In fact, when I tell people I do drag
09:24They ask if I can do their makeup
09:25I said if you wanna look like a clown
09:27I got you
09:28I know all eyes are on me for this one
09:30Because like I established myself as like the horror scary boy
09:33First week I rapped about it
09:35That's when the pressure really sets in
09:37Because if I don't win this one
09:40Then they'll definitely start to see me as like the easy out
09:43All right, you little bitch
09:45I love playing with makeup
09:47However, I don't do special effects makeup
09:49Gore is not my calling
09:51Oh no, you smoked it right up
09:53For my bow side, I know I can do a glam king
09:57Cause that's who I am
09:58Oh hell yeah, oh yeah
10:00Growing up in Texas
10:01I started in competitive dance and pageantry
10:04I was actually Miss Teen Austin 2007
10:08I was doing drag even at that age
10:12Whether I realized it or not
10:13Because I didn't connect to being a girl
10:15In my early days of drag
10:17It was very much like facial hair
10:19And like contouring your muscles
10:22You did not wear glitter
10:23You did not wear fake eyelashes
10:25You did not wear rhinestones
10:27And I was like that's boring
10:30I want to show that you can be glittery
10:32You can be flamboyant
10:33And still be masculine
10:34And still be a man
10:35What about you Big D?
10:37Have you done a half and half?
10:38Surely you've done a half and half
10:39Of course I haven't
10:40I've never done a half and half look before
10:42I mean it could be argued
10:43I've never done a look before
10:44My makeup skills are down here
10:46There's no way I can do anything but garbage
10:48In this scenario
10:49But I'm gonna just try
10:50I've got a concept
10:52Ringmaster
10:53Clown
10:54And so my delusion says
10:56That's awesome
10:57Eyeshadow
10:58I never did eyeshadow before y'all
11:00Oh my god
11:01What?
11:02Yes
11:03Come on eyeshadow
11:04For my B shot
11:05I am a werewolf
11:06You know what I'm saying
11:07And then for my beauty
11:09I'm going into color
11:10So I'm like
11:11Do a little
11:12This is the most makeup ever used in my life
11:15Yes
11:16Pressure you're doing great
11:20I'm feeling excited
11:22But I also know
11:24With this look
11:25It's a lot of my insecurities
11:26One day I came home when I was 16
11:28And it was a makeup party that I did not set up
11:31And I just felt that I was taught to cover myself
11:35Because I wasn't pretty
11:36So when I got into drag
11:38I was out there with glitter on the beard and that's it
11:40Uh huh
11:41And one night
11:42I seen Drag King performance
11:44Percocets
11:45Oh my gosh
11:46And I was like
11:47Oh my god
11:48Can we stay longer?
11:49Can we see?
11:50And I saw Percocets put on a show
11:52And used the whole stage
11:53His makeup
11:54I said baby that's it
11:55That's it
11:56And it just really like
11:57Changed the game for me
11:58I'm not covering up the ugly
12:00I'm being an artist
12:01I'm finger painting
12:02So I was like
12:03I'm breathing now
12:04I was like okay
12:05I'm not ugly
12:06We're having fun
12:07Shout out to Percocets
12:08I'd like to thank all the Atlanta queens
12:10Who told me I looked busted
12:11In the beginning when I did drag
12:12I'd like to thank the drag queen
12:14That told me I looked like a Kmart king
12:16Because I never would have gotten here without her
12:18See
12:19Oh my god
12:20I think that's why we kings
12:21Cause we don't accept it
12:22May I say
12:23It's a privilege and a blessing
12:25Just to be here and play makeup with all of you now
12:28Yes
12:30Nosferatu
12:32Nosferatu
12:33You're at least a Nosferatu
12:35Just so you know
12:36Oh gracias
12:37That's my favorite number
12:39Really?
12:40Why?
12:41My birth month is April
12:43Oh
12:44I like the way it's shaped
12:46And I've attempted to erase myself from existence four times
12:51Whoa
12:52Glad you're here
12:53Yeah seriously
12:54So glad you're here
12:55Grateful to be alive and be here with all of you
12:57The makeup look I'm designing is a clown look
13:01A happy and a sad
13:03I want to show two sides of death
13:06I want more people to accept that death is a part of life
13:10And I'm very happy and grateful I'm still here
13:13I'm alive, I'm queer, I'm ready to conquer fear
13:16Yes
13:18Okay kids, don't try this at home
13:20I'm gonna use my dirty ass hands to put in a call tack lens
13:23Oh my god, I did that earlier
13:25And then it popped out and I was like you get back in there
13:28That was what I used to tell my packer before I figured out to use a jock strap
13:32And it would like run away and I was like come back, come back
13:35Damn boy, damn boy
13:36I feel like having your packer go down your leg at some point in time
13:39Is a rite of passage
13:41Is a drag king rite of passage
13:42Yeah
13:43Almost if it happens on stage during a performance
13:45Yes
13:46It's not on
13:47If, it's when, you know
13:48Yeah
13:49My inner child is cackling darling, cackling
13:51I realize I'm still playing
13:53I'm looking around like people have full painted faces
13:56Hello is together, Charlie is together
13:59At this point I'm just like ooh what does this do, ooh like ooh
14:03And they all like
14:04I'm like ooh this looks great on me
14:06Like I'm really at a candy store
14:09I've got the gray down and the split
14:11And I'm feeling like
14:15Come on
14:16I kinda need to get to the glam side
14:1830 seconds gang, 30 seconds
14:1930 seconds we got this
14:27Whoa
14:28Whoa
14:29That's terrifying
14:30Yeah
14:31Oh help me
14:32My God
14:33Yeah
14:34Um
14:35Can I get an apple box please
14:36You don't just want a pair of shoes
14:37JJ
14:41Oh
14:42Please put it
14:43The shows
14:45Oh
14:46Yes
14:47She's having another dollar
14:48Now
14:49Don't we look a little better
14:50Nice to see you up here
14:51All right
14:52I don't even know who's who here
14:53I can't tell
14:54First up
14:55King molasses
14:57Ooh
15:00The concept is having a side that is outlined
15:04Which is how I usually structure my face and my fear of blending
15:08Next up, Penlo
15:10There's confidence, feeling myself, feeling gorgeous
15:14And then there's the ways in which I doubt everything
15:17Which one are you feeling more today?
15:18Which one are you feeling more today?
15:19I'm feeling so confident
15:20It's over a day
15:21It's over a day
15:22And I'm disgusting
15:23So
15:24Big D
15:25Oh
15:27Dick Von Dyke
15:28So behind this look is like two alt kids going to the Halloween dance
15:34They're in the GSA but they're just allies
15:37We've been there
15:38Alexander the Great
15:39Ooh
15:40Oh
15:41Oh
15:42Oh
15:43Is he done?
15:44It's over
15:49Ooh
15:50Ooh
15:51Yes
15:52This is really my first time using this much makeup
15:54Both sides are pretty beautiful
15:55Ooh
15:56Ooh
15:58My drag journey in general
15:59Makeup was hard
16:00When I first started
16:01I didn't have that many resources
16:03Ah
16:04I'm crying
16:05Ah
16:06I didn't have that many resources
16:07Were able to be learning how to contour and everything
16:09It was by the goodness of my drag mom and other drag kings that I had to learn
16:14Yes
16:15To do it
16:16It was like frustrating and sad
16:17And I'm especially proud of my makeup because it's like something I struggled with for so long to do
16:22And that was one of the things I am best known for
16:25It's one of the things I'm getting the most compliments on
16:28Thank you Perka
16:29You can step back
16:30Before I make my decision I do want to get a closer look
16:33I actually feel good
16:38I think I delivered a clear concept and the story is still important
16:43The characterization
16:45I like my look
16:47Is it the look I would want to put in front of Sasha? Not necessarily
16:52Beautifully blended
16:54Beautifully blended
17:00The winner is
17:03Perka sucks
17:04Yes
17:05Yes
17:06Yes
17:07Absolutely
17:09I'm the best two faced king
17:11This one means a lot to me given my history with makeup because like I struggled in it for so so long
17:16It feels great to have the recognition
17:19I can say no matter what happens I got one win
17:21You have won the ultimate crown and contour from Elf Cosmetics
17:26Including essentials like jumbo power grip primer, 16 hour camo concealer and camo liquid bronzer and contour
17:37These products are all about giving you an Elfin flawless base for your face
17:43All right, thank you Sasha
17:46Now poof! Begone with you!
17:51Poof!
17:53You're a poof
17:54Get out of here
17:56All right
17:57It's midnight, the itching hour
18:01Oh wait, I think that's the eczema on my butt
18:04Anyway, it's time for the beefy challenge
18:08Kings, are you ready to get scared stiff?
18:11Yes, yes
18:12A truly great king must be in touch with his brightest joys and his darkest fears
18:18Today, you must conjure a look and a performance inspired by what scares you most
18:26I could not be dreading anything more than this challenge
18:29My biggest fear is this challenge
18:31I'm not feeling insecure, I'm feeling emotional
18:35Because I don't do scary movies, it's more like my trauma
18:39When I was a kid, I got scared really easily
18:42As I've gotten older, I've started to get kind of more into like scary things
18:46It's made me feel more powerful
18:47Joining us today in the Royal Hall, we have some very special guest judges
18:52Yellowjacket's very own Liv Hewson
18:56Wow
18:57Oh my God
18:58Cults, cannibalism
19:00I love Yellowjacket, so this is really awesome for me
19:03Our flag means death star, Vico Ortiz
19:07This is Vico, hey hermano Sibley
19:13And the winner of Dragula Season 3, Landon Sider
19:18Yes
19:19So good
19:20Oh my God
19:21This is the moment I have been waiting for
19:23Landon Sider, I am fully gagged and definitely scared now
19:28When getting ready today, feel free to use Trans Tape
19:31The original body transformation system
19:34That is a backless and waterproof alternative to compression binders
19:39Crap, I forgot one more thing
19:44The most bone-chilling thing of them all
19:48Oh God
19:49Today will be a double elimination
19:57Oh no
20:03Oh great, my chances of being in the bottom increased
20:07I love it here
20:09Oh, it could be anybody
20:12I have to be at the top in order to ensure that I am not in the final thrust
20:17Let's circle up
20:18Yes, coach
20:19Long live the cage
20:24Yeah, I'm a real king
20:26Yeah, I'm a real king
20:28Yeah, I'm a real king
20:29Yeah, I'm a real king
20:30Oh, oh, oh
20:34Oh, oh, oh
20:36Oh, oh, oh
20:40Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
21:10I'm so happy, this is where I live, I'm a monster.
21:14Everything is perfect.
21:15We've all seen the way that Henlo
21:16is parading around the man cave.
21:18Just so happy.
21:20Henlo, we get it.
21:21You love horror?
21:22I'm horrified.
21:23This is one of the ones I was most excited for.
21:26I'm shocked, Perk.
21:29That feels very unexpected.
21:30I know, right?
21:32Something that's finally in my wheelhouse,
21:34but also if I lose, then it's a double disappointment
21:38because I should be good at this.
21:40I'm just hoping that I am good at this.
21:43You do high glam so well.
21:45I do high glam all the time.
21:47I do, I five, six, seven, eight, shablam in the club.
21:50Come on, shablam.
21:51Perk, quit reading me.
21:54What's everyone's concepts?
21:55It might not seem scary, but I'm doing death by fast fashion.
22:00I'm gonna be the earth suffocated by fast fashion.
22:04Damn.
22:05It's very conceptual, so I'm hoping to sell it.
22:08There's a very real fear about us harming our planet.
22:12To me, there couldn't be anything more horrifying.
22:15Being in Austin, Texas, I care so much.
22:18I serve as a commissioner on the LGBTQ commission
22:22for the city of Austin, so I'm literally a city official.
22:24Could you believe it?
22:25I have testified against drag ban bills in full drag.
22:30I have transitioned into privilege and power.
22:33Let's use this for good and not evil, right?
22:35I just want to say, Alexander, I'm sorry about all my fake leather purchases.
22:39Well, that's okay.
22:40We're all guilty of it.
22:41They do be on sale.
22:42It do be like two for five dollars.
22:44Mine is the fear of the unknown, also known as agnostophobia.
22:48You be dropping some words on me.
22:50The mo-isms.
22:51Okay, the mo-isms.
22:52I just want them all on t-shirts.
22:54Please make t-shirts.
22:55Yes.
22:56It's very conceptual.
22:57What I'm about to do on the runway, no other competitor in the room is going to do.
23:03I like to call it the void suit.
23:05I am going to make myself as monochromatic as possible.
23:09Like, I'm back in college doing, like, my weird art projects.
23:13I am so excited to see you wear this.
23:16What's yours?
23:17A fear of the passage of time.
23:19Ooh.
23:20Anyone who's socialized as a woman is, like, socialized to see themselves as, like, having
23:25a shelf life.
23:26Mm-hmm.
23:27Yes.
23:28And just, like, don't tell people that.
23:30That's weird.
23:31Grow up.
23:32It's weird.
23:33Mine is up.
23:34Evil can't consume me.
23:35Oh.
23:36I'm afraid of showing all my emotions.
23:39Back in the hood, like, growing up, I learned what happens in this house stays in this house.
23:44And that had me locked up.
23:45I had to take ownership and be my purpose, be who I am, show it I'm not the only one that's
23:51hurting.
23:52Because it's easy to be evil.
23:53But it's hard to say that hurt me and I'm going to heal.
23:58What's up, Charlie?
23:59How you feeling over there?
24:00Feeling great.
24:01Excited, focused, ready, and nervous.
24:04Nervous?
24:05Not you.
24:06I see death as an old friend.
24:10Living life is one of the most scariest things because I don't know what's going to happen,
24:14which is also beautiful because I don't know what's going to happen.
24:17I get to keep living.
24:20Putting this out there for the judges represents freedom and acceptance that I'm still surviving.
24:28Henla, what's your concept?
24:29Oh.
24:30This is the angel of medical atrocity.
24:32Oh.
24:33I have had a lot of lifelong health issues.
24:37And when I was 16, my mom had her first seizure and we discovered it was a brain tumor.
24:42And when I was 18, she died of her brain tumor.
24:45Rest in peace.
24:46Everything in my look has either happened to me or to a close family member.
24:51It was gutting and isolating to be just stepping into adulthood and losing my mother at the same time.
25:00There are so many things I wish I could tell my mom.
25:03You don't have to ask.
25:04I hope you'd be proud of me to my mom because I know she would be.
25:08I really want to bring these personal fears and experiences into an extremely visceral and straight up disgusting presentation.
25:19I have about 30 cc's of watered down stage blood in my wig.
25:23I love wearing this.
25:25I got lucky with this administration that I got my gender marker changed the day before.
25:30They said it wasn't supposed to be allowed anymore.
25:32Holy .
25:33Good job.
25:34My fear is being seen as like this monster just because of who I am.
25:38My existence as a trans person is always on the line.
25:43I get my rights taken away from me every morning I wake up, it seems like.
25:47I know I'm a man.
25:48I couldn't find my own G-spot.
25:49That's how much of a man I am.
25:52If I could just scare the out of Murray one more time, I'll leave happy.
25:58One hour left.
26:02How you feel about this double tonight?
26:04It means no one's safe.
26:05Frankly, y'all, I'm scared stiff.
26:07And no one likes a scared dick because then it shrinks.
26:10All right.
26:11I'm going to use my blow dryer on you.
26:13Do you consent?
26:14Oh, yes.
26:15The studs on the lab jacket?
26:19You fiend.
26:20This challenge is probably the one I'm most scared of.
26:23It's a character I've done before.
26:25Dr. Melvin Schmuckler.
26:26I'm kind of going for like a weird scientist doctor kind of vibe.
26:30I have a reveal that has worked once or twice at home in my bathroom, but has also not worked.
26:37And I'm wearing my freaking orthopedic sneakers because I'm 50 years old and I got a bad knee.
26:43Also, I think it's kind of badass to wear orthopedic sneakers on the runway.
26:48Oh, my God.
26:49I'm so nervous, you guys.
26:51I know.
26:52I feel like a goofball because my look is such a different direction from everyone else's.
26:57I don't know if it tells as compelling of a story.
27:01I'm afraid that while my character is identifiable, I think that the fear is not like being instilled in the same way as everyone else.
27:10And so, like, I'm hoping it's enough.
27:1330 minutes left.
27:14All right.
27:17You have a taint of rage.
27:18Oh, yeah.
27:19Let's get you some body paint.
27:21I wanted to add a little bit of color.
27:22You know, I'm learning that from the winning challenge.
27:24So now my anxiety is kicking back in.
27:26I need to ask for help.
27:27Asking for help is so difficult.
27:30It is.
27:31And you make it easy.
27:32They're just passing me around.
27:33Look at the baby.
27:34I'm like, yeah, it's me, you know?
27:40Everything starts to tingle and I'm like, oh, yeah.
27:43It's time to sink or swim with this one.
27:45Time to go into the unknown.
27:51Time's up, fellas.
27:52Put it back in your pants and meet me in the royal.
27:58Yeah, I'm a real king.
28:22Showbiz.
28:33Welcome to the royal hall.
28:38Excuse me.
28:40Frog in my throat.
28:41Let me introduce our esteemed panel of judges.
28:44In real life, he scares me.
28:46But tonight, he's spook-tacular.
28:49Tender.
28:51Brony.
28:52Freaky.
28:53In a good way.
28:55Sasha Velour.
28:58Australian actor and breakout star of Yellow Jackets,
29:01Liv Houston.
29:04Known as the knife-throwing, non-binary, polyamorous pirate
29:08on our flag means death, and a silly little Latino lover
29:12of our dreams, Vico Ortiz.
29:14And tonight, he's Vico Suave.
29:18Winner of Dragula Season 3 and host of YouTube show
29:23Dragged Inc.
29:24It's Landon Sider.
29:28So, King's Court, what are you all hoping to see
29:30from the kings tonight?
29:31Looking to get thrills and chills.
29:33I want to have my core shaken up in a way that after this,
29:37I will need therapy immediately.
29:39Wow.
29:40Are you in therapy currently?
29:41Yes.
29:42Oh, .
29:43You need two sessions back-to-back.
29:45Exactly.
29:46All right, Sasha, what are you looking for tonight?
29:48Well, for experienced drag queens such as myself,
29:51it's not often that we are surprised,
29:54but I am hoping to be truly gagged tonight.
29:57All right, Landon, I know this is your domain.
29:59You love horror.
30:00You love makeup.
30:01So, what are you looking for tonight?
30:03I'm looking for a dedication to the look and to the character.
30:05I want to see them fall into it.
30:07Make me believe that you are your greatest fear.
30:09Ooh.
30:10I just got the chills and shivers.
30:12Thank God I'm not doing this challenge.
30:14Showbiz.
30:15All right.
30:16It's time to get scared stiff.
30:19First up, Percosex.
30:26Challenge wasn't conquering your fears,
30:28it was becoming your fears.
30:29So, I had to become the thing I hate the most in the world.
30:36I look terrifying.
30:37Put a giant F on my face.
30:39I'm gonna get a little real.
30:42A political number.
30:44Rights getting taken away.
30:46Let's just take all that anger, all that rage,
30:49and let's put it on the stage.
30:51I don't care what you call yourself.
30:59I'll never call you Benjamin.
31:00I gave birth to a girl.
31:01I don't care.
31:02I hope Trump gets you and all your f***ing tranny friends.
31:06Mm-hmm.
31:07Mm-hmm.
31:08Mm-hmm.
31:09I got chills.
31:13Alexander the Great.
31:14My biggest fear is ecocide.
31:15I am obsessed with our planet.
31:16I've got my polar ice caps on my head.
31:17I'm suffocating by fast fashion.
31:18I might be worried about it.
31:19I don't care.
31:20I don't care.
31:21I gave birth to a girl.
31:22I don't care.
31:23I don't care.
31:24I don't care.
31:25I don't care.
31:26I don't care.
31:27I'm not sure.
31:28I'm not sure.
31:29I'm not sure if you're gonna go.
31:46a lot of color for the horror challenge but i look good and my message is important
32:00oh
32:15king molasses
32:24the suit is literally what a void receding into space would look like it's really about embodying
32:34the actual fear of the unknown anxiety stress movement is the challenge for me in this piece
32:45to really sell this garment
33:03it's time for big
33:04my greatest fear is when my anxiety or my depression make me lose my perspective
33:15baby i'm in my own head well you're so stuck in here
33:29oh my god
33:43Yeah! I meant my own head! So get out of there! I can't! Why not? I meant my own head! I can't! So get out of there! I can't! So get out of there! I can't! I can't! Just wait! Wait! You're dead! You're dead!
34:01That's my type of horror. A little comedy in there, for sure. Thank you.
34:07Pressure A.
34:08The cloak is like the essence of the dark spirit, the evil, manipulation, lies, deceit, domestic violence.
34:21The cloak was for my mom. The cloak was for my dad. The cloak was for my older sister.
34:27No! No! No! No! No! No!
34:38When I screamed out, no, it came from the knot I've been feeling. Today, I finally had a release.
34:57It's time for Dick Von Dyke.
35:02My fear is the passage of time. I am a grandfather being swallowed by the clock.
35:08Oh, come on. I want like an unclockable grandfather clock.
35:20It's giving time. It's giving times up. This isn't TikTok. This is Dick Talk.
35:24Charles Galen King. My greatest fear is also my greatest strength. Surviving death in life.
35:42Yeah! I'm dead! The joyfulness of Day of the Dead, but also surviving death. I can't go back to the light.
35:50Oh, come on.
36:08It's Henlo Bullfrog.
36:10Scabs, blisters, boils, lots of IV tubing throughout. I am filth. I am horror. I am everything in your hospital nightmares.
36:22Oh, my God.
36:34Oh, my God.
36:38Eat it. That's right.
36:39Yeah, yummy. Oh, my God.
36:42Oh, my God.
36:44Yes, please.
36:56My last reveal doesn't go off. Bleeding from the brain. I'm sure they could tell that something didn't go off. I hope I did enough.
37:03Yeah, I'm a real king.
37:18Whoo! Kids! Damn! You gave me the goddamn willies. The King's Court has made some decisions.
37:27Dick Von Dyke?
37:28And Henlo Bullfrog? You are both safe.
37:41I thought it was my week. I was aiming to be in the top or a win. Being safe? Like, come on.
37:48I am lamenting that I didn't get the opportunity to hear what exactly the judges didn't like.
37:54The rest of you represent the tops and bottoms of the week. We will now hear from the King's Court.
38:01Charles Galen.
38:02Hola.
38:03I love that you added your heritage to it, and I love the reveal that you did, but I just wish the scale was bigger.
38:10It gave me full body chills. Thank you for sharing such a vulnerable story with us. I think that's exactly what drag is for.
38:17I do think your costume is very simple. Maybe too simple.
38:22It just looks like maybe it was a little rushed. Okay.
38:24And I think that's a vibe that we're trying not to go with, especially with such a powerful story.
38:28You are incredibly charismatic. Thank you.
38:30And I would just encourage you to be more of yourself, lean in with bigger details, and with more of your presence.
38:38Thank you so much.
38:39Next up, Pressure K.
38:41When you came out completely covered with your head down, all we had was the first garment,
38:47which was disappointing because it was hard to read what the specific fear was.
38:52I also wanted to see you take your time into the explosion of you breaking through.
38:59I really wanted to feel that energy brought into the performance as well.
39:02You had it in you. I could see it. I wanted to see more of it.
39:05You're really on a journey, rising into who you are as a performer.
39:10And I felt myself wanting to be able to lock in with you.
39:13And I think as you keep finding who you are, you'll be able to communicate it to us.
39:18Thank you so much. I can definitely take that and work with you.
39:21I also want to commend you on playing with more makeup.
39:24And I want to encourage that journey. The red eyebrow, the lip color, it is beautiful.
39:32You're nailing it. Keep going.
39:33Tissue.
39:34Yay.
39:40You got this.
39:42It's okay.
39:46I just felt like I wasn't meant to be for so long.
39:48I just had to learn, like, not to give that evil energy back.
39:55And that my looks is strong.
39:57Yeah.
39:58Take that time and stand in it and revel in it.
40:03Jeez, you're making me cry. I haven't cried since 1979.
40:07D-Pops, come on.
40:08This is my first time not being safe.
40:11They say they wanted to see more.
40:13That's the feeling I had.
40:15So they actually saw my truth.
40:17Okay, big D.
40:18You are a total delight.
40:21Wow.
40:22This head that you're petting right now.
40:24No.
40:25Um, like a small buttocks or a large sack.
40:33You've given us a completely different persona every single time.
40:37But the consistency is your bizarre sensibility and a very on point sense of humor.
40:44I really love that you brought camp to a horror challenge.
40:48Comedy and horror are very much alike, way more than people realize.
40:53And I really love that you brought that to the stage.
40:56I don't normally watch horror, but when there's camp in horror, then I'm like, I will be tuning in.
41:01Your energy when you perform is so infectious.
41:05The only thing that took me out of it was the sneakers.
41:10If the puppet would have had the matching sneakers, then I would have been like, okay, okay, okay.
41:15They clocked me for the orthopedic sneakers. Fair.
41:18But I mean, like, this is one of those moments for me where I feel like, oh,
41:21there's a place for me in this competition.
41:24I brought comedy to a horror challenge and that was welcomed.
41:27That felt really nice.
41:29All right, King Molasses.
41:31I love the way that you think about your drag at every single angle.
41:35The reveal was so simple, but so effective.
41:38It sent chills down my spine. It was incredibly effective.
41:43The way you've accessorized it and done your makeup, it belongs in a museum.
41:47Great work. Thank you.
41:48Your level of intention is unmatched.
41:52I held my breath the whole time and I could have passed out and been like, that was amazing.
41:56Thank you. Thank you so much.
41:58Alexander the Great.
41:59Hello.
42:00You obviously have an incredible mind.
42:02I think this particular story could have been a little bit better presented tonight.
42:07I knew what your story was, but I kind of wasn't sure.
42:10I knew it had to do with Earth, but the specificity of it kind of got lost on me.
42:14This is like a really big and bold idea and I would love to see the scale represent the scale of the problem.
42:23I am feeling a bit devastated for sure.
42:28Knowing that this is not my best is killing me.
42:32Perk of sex.
42:33Perk, big perk.
42:35Tender.
42:36The language that you used when you were yelling, like, don't call me this name.
42:42What's the story with that?
42:44My mom said that to me.
42:48That was the nail in the coffin.
42:51I tried so hard to be a good kid and she told me that.
42:56And then I just never wanted to see her again.
42:59Perk, I just love how you take it and turn it around and use it as your strength.
43:04You have a wild chaoticness that sometimes can lead you astray, but is utterly captivating.
43:12And I think you really were in the pocket tonight.
43:14I had tears welling up in my eyes.
43:18That is a fear that I also very deeply resonate to.
43:20So I was like, oh, I am with you.
43:22I was getting chills all over the place.
43:27Breathtaking.
43:28I'm sorry I scared you.
43:29Oh, no, please.
43:30I can't hear for that.
43:32King's court tonight is a double elimination.
43:38You must choose three kings to face off in the final thrust.
43:44I don't know how you're going to do it.
43:45I really don't.
43:46This is going to be a tough, tough choice.
43:48Kings, please head back to the man cave while our court deliberates.
43:53Yeah, I'm a real king.
44:03Double elimination?
44:04That's wild.
44:05Like, why are we cursed with this decision?
44:07All right, let's start with molasses.
44:09That's top for me.
44:10His execution is just so amazing in everything he does.
44:13I personally do want to give it to Percosacks.
44:16I thought that was the most fully realized performance that anybody did, just in terms
44:21of horror drag, I mean, it just scared the out of me.
44:25I wasn't playing a character.
44:26I was just really pissed off.
44:28I'm just scary when I'm pissed.
44:30Just the looks on their faces, they were really quiet after, and I'm just like,
44:35oh, that's not a good reaction.
44:36I didn't do a good job.
44:37I think I did terrible.
44:38I think I did awful.
44:40If I was on the judges panel, I would put myself in the bottom.
44:42I'd be like, burn all the drag.
44:44In fact, I'm going to burn your drag for you.
44:46Bring it out here.
44:46We're going to have a bonfire with marshmallows and s'mores.
44:49They both brought amazing concepts to the table, which is going to make this decision so hard.
44:54Yeah.
44:55Charles, as much as I love the performance and the concept, I just feel that it was just
45:00wasn't enough.
45:01It left me wanting more.
45:04There was real strength in Big D's performance.
45:07Like, the fear was clear.
45:09The fear was funny.
45:10Nobody else's fear was funny.
45:11I 100% agree.
45:13It's just accostuming to me.
45:14Like, the sneakers, that's a deal breaker.
45:20So what did you all think of Alexander the Great?
45:23I loved the outfit, loved the cape, but the execution of it all happened kind of rapidly.
45:31He left the stage and I, like, hadn't even processed that a reveal had happened.
45:34Yeah, and we even kind of whispered to each other, like, I didn't get it.
45:37Yeah.
45:37You know?
45:38Yeah.
45:40Well, the interesting thing about Prussia K's look that I keep coming back to is that
45:44it was really more of a look that told a story of triumph than fear.
45:50I loved, loved, loved the ending, but I was left kind of lost with that beginning.
45:56I think that got in the way of giving us the full fantasy.
45:59Mm-hmm.
46:00I agree.
46:01Prussia, yo, Prussia, how you feeling?
46:02I legit feel okay.
46:07I just, it feels like a freedom.
46:09Like, I got it off my chest, finally.
46:11Like, that's why I was like, I know it's a competition, but this is healing.
46:14Every step, every step I take is breaking through for me.
46:18When you said about your mom, Percocet, with my mom, I wasn't allowed to cry.
46:24So that's why when I get emotional, like, I tense up because I'm trying to stop it.
46:28And when y'all came up to me, I felt that pressure be you.
46:32Pressure be this, like, let it out.
46:35Because I'm scared to be angry.
46:37The cloak was for my mom.
46:39It brought me to tears.
46:41I was willing to do anything for my mom, anything.
46:44I was trying to, like, boys, I was trying to get the clothes.
46:47I was trying to be that, like, like, my sister, she don't want me to meet her kids,
46:53but my sister don't want to put her baby in my hands.
46:58It's like, that's why I said, like, the people that taught me how to walk,
47:02taught me how to eat, taught me how to eat.
47:04And you don't want to hug me in public.
47:09You want to tell me I'm evil.
47:10You want to tell me I'm a demon.
47:13I miss my family.
47:17I miss them.
47:19I don't hate them.
47:20I just can't handle them in my life, because I want to live.
47:25I want to be alive.
47:27But I was still strong and said, no, because I know I have a future.
47:30Every time I close my eyes, I see my dream.
47:33That's when we sit here and I close them.
47:34I see us.
47:35I see what's going to happen to us.
47:37I see me being alive.
47:38I'm seeing me getting older.
47:40I see it.
47:41So when you see me just sitting there, I'm not sad.
47:43I see the blessings that's coming for us.
47:46It is time for the court's royal decree.
48:01Tenderoni.
48:02King Molasses, your look and your execution tonight really wowed us.
48:07Percosex, your look and your execution tonight really scared us.
48:16Percosex, congratulations.
48:19You are the winner this week.
48:20It means a lot to win.
48:28I feel like a part of me that's been that's afraid of all these things,
48:32I feel like I was able to beat that part of me as well.
48:36And hopefully the nightmares stop.
48:39King Molasses, you are safe.
48:42Now this is the hard part.
48:44Everybody was so phenomenal tonight.
48:47Tenderoni, which kings are up for elimination?
48:54Alexander the Great, we really liked your story,
48:57but your execution didn't really let us know what was happening.
49:01Big D, you are so weird.
49:05But we just want you to pay attention to the details of the costuming a little bit.
49:09Charles Galen King, we also loved your concept,
49:12but we just wish that your execution went a little bit further today.
49:18Pressure K, we love the vulnerability that you brought to the stage today,
49:22but we just wish that your full execution came out a little bit better.
49:29Pressure K, Charles Galen King, I'm sorry, but you are up for elimination.
49:36It is a competition.
49:38I felt like I didn't meet the criteria of bigness, but I still felt big.
49:44Bring it on, even though I might go home.
49:46But bring it on!
49:47And the third king going into the final thrust will be...
49:54Alexander the Great.
49:57Coming into the bottom another week in the row,
50:00this is not how I saw the competition going for me,
50:03especially being in the top three in week one.
50:06Me going home could be a very real possibility,
50:09especially with the double elimination,
50:11but I'm hoping that whatever the thrust challenge is,
50:15I can save myself there.
50:16Big D, this means you are safe.
50:20Please join your fellow safe kings.
50:23Yeah, I found out I was in the bottom three.
50:26Charlie on my left, Alex on my right.
50:29I still wasn't feeling sad.
50:30I'm feeling like I'm in the bottom with some big dog.
50:33I'm feeling this big dog energy.
50:35Like, I'm happy to be here.
50:36Like, possible losing?
50:38Like, I'm not losing nothing.
50:41Alexander the Great, Pressure K,
50:44Charles Galen King, you will face off in the final thrust.
50:48You will return to the man cave where something sinister awaits.
51:00Facing terrors at every turn.
51:03Each of you will face your own demise in what we call
51:08the Blair Butch Project.
51:11A final horror will appear, which is your cue to give us a death scene
51:17that's larger than life.
51:19You must film yourself the whole time.
51:22Because this is so much fun.
51:24I get to die on stage.
51:25Just go.
51:27So I'm actually ready.
51:29Gentlemen, stay safe, and may the best king make it out alive.
51:36I know that the rest of this competition,
51:38I can absolutely smash out of the park, and I'm not ready to be done yet.
51:47I'm in the bottom three, and I understand why I'm here.
52:04I do not want to be stressed with the final thrust.
52:07I am a fan of being scared.
52:09I might not execute the horror, but I am a connoisseur of horror.
52:13So I know what the judges are looking for, I think.
52:18My strategy going into this final thrust is making myself laugh more than anybody else.
52:24Because if I make myself laugh, then I'm like, I'm having so much fun.
52:29Mama, I know you told me to be strong.
52:32I'm trying my damn hardest.
52:35Hello?
52:36No answers?
52:38Hello, Big D?
52:38Kings, Murray, I, oh, hello?
52:45I thought I was in the man cave, but I, I think I've taken a wrong turn and ended up at the...
52:50Oh, yeah!
52:51Put it down!
52:52No, it's not on my head, man, it's on my head!
52:58Behind you! Behind you!
53:00That's what I get for smoking that free weed.
53:02Where's the gender-neutral bathrooms?
53:03Oh, no!
53:04There's no gender-neutral bathrooms!
53:11Okay!
53:13Hello? Hello?
53:15Anybody?
53:22Death by Texas GOP!
53:25You're killing me!
53:31You're actually killing me with your jaw and your jokes, Murray!
53:44You're killing me.
53:45Kings, that was a Oscar-worthy performance, but only one of you can be the final boy.
53:57Our king's court will now vote on who will stay in the competition.
54:03Liv.
54:04My vote for final boy is Charles Galen King.
54:09Tenderoni.
54:10My vote is for Pressure K.
54:13Vico.
54:14Charles King.
54:16Landon.
54:17Alexander the Great.
54:20Sasha.
54:21The talent in this competition is unprecedented for any stage for drag.
54:28Everyone should be so proud. I wish I had more votes to give, but my vote tonight for the person to stay
54:39is Charles Galen King.
54:40Charles Galen King, congratulations. You are safe.
54:49Your pursuit of the crown continues.
54:52I am so excited that I get to move on, but I see my two fellow kings going home, which is also sad.
55:03Alexander the Great, Pressure K, I'm sorry, but your time here has come to an end.
55:10Oh, being eliminated wearing this goddamn costume and these whiteout contacts. Oh, no. Not like this. Not like this.
55:22I thought I was going to be in the finals. This experience has taught me that your dream is going to take you exactly where you need to go.
55:35This is just the beginning.
55:37Honey, if I've made it this far, oh, you cannot get rid of me now.
55:41I made it. I feel like I made it like I really did cross over into a family.
55:46I felt like I got invited to the family reunion. Murray know me. I didn't lose anything.
55:52We are so proud of what you've done here.
55:57Please take a knee.
56:03I dub thee honorary members of the king of drag family. We are community, and we always got your back.
56:16Please rise. Any parting words you have for us?
56:19Now, I want to say thank you to my kings. This has been a great experience.
56:23I have gained so much friends, best friends. We are bros. Come to the air.
56:26I got lemon pepper on deck.
56:30My message to everybody, what happened to us is not our fault, but it is our responsibility to heal.
56:38Pressure forever.
56:39I want to thank every single person for this incredible experience.
56:43Thank you, judges, my fellow kings. I have been dreaming of this moment my entire life,
56:48and for trans kids back home in Texas, you are loved, you are beautiful, and you are valid,
56:56and we are going to keep fighting to exist, okay? No one will legislate us out of existence. Keep going.
57:02King Alexander the Great, King Pressure K, please pack your Packers and head home.
57:10No!
57:11I, myself, feel so loved, so beautiful, and so valid. I feel like I am truly going home a winner.
57:24I am incredibly moved, and I am so proud of the kings for their courageousness and their bravery.
57:31Now go home, get out of here, before the sun rises and I turn into a pumpkin.
57:36And believe me, you don't want to see that.
57:49Perfect.
57:49Perfect.
57:54Hiya, Murray.
57:55Joe Beers.
