00:00welcome back to snetterton the grid just starting to form here for the third and final bennett's
00:08british superbike race of the weekend first two of course one in some style by bradley ray the
00:14challenge is on now for these guys to try and stop him shane burn and james hayden have been
00:19scratching their heads wondering how any of them might do that we saw kyle riding race to
00:23do what i mean we sort of postulated beforehand was the only option for him really james which
00:28was to throw it up the inside and try to cause some kind of disruption yeah um so yeah i mean
00:35listen he had a go it wasn't wasn't quite exactly what we had in mind here it is he's in really hot
00:40can't get it stopped and uh actually loses a couple of places but we are listen we the intent was there
00:47wasn't it but it's just let's be honest this kind of it just looks like brad's just got too much in
00:53hand here so i think really it's going to be the interesting thing the only one actually i wonder
00:58now is whether rory um skinner could have made some changes you know he looked probably the
01:02most comfortable in some ways in that last race uh yeah rory had a good running race too took p2
01:08ahead of kyle in the end shake it was a good little battle between the two of them yeah doesn't he look
01:12fantastic on that bike as well um you see brad raider leading rory's just got up the inside of kyle
01:17right there second bike in your shot uh lots of people blowing the uh flowing the agostini up in
01:22there because the tailwind there was really really strong and there at the end of the straight
01:26you know the guys are getting blown literally into the thing so missing the braking marker a
01:29tiny bit but you know when rory went to moto 2 he looked like the perfect fit for a moto 2 bike he
01:35looked like a little gp rider didn't he but he's got back on this gp uh on this ducati sorry here in
01:39bsb and it just fits him like a glove and yeah i think what we have to take into into account is the
01:44fact that the team have only switched this year you know this is their third race meeting on that bike
01:47rory's already second uh had a second this morning so um yeah fantastic performance really
01:52yeah and ducati is notoriously not always the easiest bikes to get to know as as a team you
01:58know mechanically yeah um so listen they're all doing a really good job and um you know they've
02:03got to keep building keep building obviously we know it's not kill necks as well which is going to
02:06be great because he flies around there and obviously all the home supports they're still building very
02:10nicely question is what could anyone do here and at the moment it it's a big big ask but i still think
02:17at the intent of trying to get out there they just don't want if brad's led for the life the first
02:22two laps he's gone so he's got to try and stop that it's been sweltering hot so far this weekend it's not
02:27this afternoon shane the clouds have come over the breeze is up as well track conditions will be a lot
02:31cooler could that influence things um the only thing that's going to do i think is make the pace just a
02:35little bit faster that the track temperature has been so high this weekend obviously the the lap times
02:39have been down a tiny bit um it's been about managing that but the most tricky thing for all of them
02:43for all of the classes today actually has been this breeze that we've got you know it's quite gusty
02:47and uh wind's quite strong so they've all got that to contend with but it's the same for everybody
02:50well somebody's got to come up with a plan let's see if any of them have got one uh with james
02:56i've got a plan the plan is first to speak to this man on the second row this is uh charlie nesby
03:01one of the younger riders in uh bsb who haven't spoke to you for a while charlie uh going well just a
03:08little bit below the radar that's fine game finishes and and having some good racing especially
03:13we had old mate max cook over there yeah no it was great fun banging bars with max to be fair in
03:17the in the sprint race but yeah yeah i think we're just going about our time and just racking up some
03:23points and just feeling comfortable with it you know because obviously donnington wasn't great for
03:27us so yeah i think it's just all about finishing now good lad good luck cheers thank you right we
03:34ain't got that long of a gridwalk but so what i want to do so charlie's 24 right at the other end of
03:39the age spectrum is leon haslam he's 44 i think 42 oh he's knocking a few he's about 44 but get this
03:47so look his dad dad's there ron nobody actually knows how old ron is but he looks about 45 and he's
03:53a lot older than that ron's multiple british champion going back years always here we love ron
03:58happy birthday ron thank you very much and then we're going to go across here right the serious
04:03stuff we're going to speak with tommy because he's on his bike and we missed him last time because i
04:07think he nipped off for a comfort break tommy it's turning around for you and we're all pleased to see
04:13it matey yeah cheers we're uh honestly uh it's been a frustrating first two rounds for definite
04:19uh i'm no different rider i'm no different person but the the tyre had a bigger bigger effect on us
04:25and i think we all anticipated so it took some work uh slowly getting there but still we still got
04:30if i'm honest a bit of a chunk to find still are you starting to enjoy it a little bit race with
04:35people that be competitive yeah obviously it makes life easier for sure it makes me happier so
04:40let's see what we can do now good luck tommy cheers thank you yeah really frustrating when your job and
04:45your whole life is racing and you're not going as well at the racing as you think you should
04:49and that's coming off a british champion from a couple of years ago so let's uh let's get across
04:55now so front row and here we go where are you actually i lost you last time she's sticking to me
05:01my clue isn't you uh right uh third on the grid this is kyle we support you every single race
05:06because you've been on the front row uh what are you entering to the meeting it's kind of uh kind
05:11of all right but yeah it's um could have been another second there yeah uh again it a good go i
05:18know tommy tommy's been really good there last couple of years into the last corner so i thought if
05:22i don't try to pass rory into there tommy's gonna pass me and i could come fourth so again i've gone
05:26out with rory and i come fourth anyway so i might as well have to start there yeah but that's a really
05:30difficult move around the outside of corums and then but it always costs you up the straight if
05:34you don't get it dead right yeah i just looking back here i could i could have sat there but tommy
05:40was definitely going to pass me and i was never going to pass rory to the line on on that bike so
05:43again it a go uh just just come short a couple of thousand short of the podium but i'm not too mad
05:48because i left it all out there gave it a good go and uh unfortunately come fourth but yeah that
05:52won't happen again you've got to have a go good luck cheers mate right yeah you've got to have a go
05:56we've seen that in a few races right one and a half minutes so quick word with uh rory rory another
06:03rider like tommy that's turning his season round gradually big work for the team new bike the team
06:08new bike for rory looks like you're getting red around it now starting to definitely yes definitely
06:13starting to understand a bit more now jamie it's uh feeling more homely to me and uh yeah just starting
06:17to feel a bit more confident on it starting to understand what i can do with it what i can't do
06:21with it and uh yeah just working away with it is it different is it looks like it's going to be
06:26different to ride than anything else you've ever ridden totally i'm riding so different to my style
06:30so so much different to what it was 12 months ago but yeah that's how it goes sometimes sometimes i've
06:35got to change to to fit the bike and yeah it's certainly started to work now we're starting to
06:38get better results with it and it's uh yeah it's all heading in the right direction
06:41good luck all right cheers thank you right just got just about half a minute so just worked out
06:47pretty well that uh again another rider we spoke to every single uh race this weekend because he's
06:53been uh well basically untouchable all weekend if if you did have a plan i don't know if you did but
07:00um it's worked didn't it yes uh it's been going well this weekend um we may be getting a bit closer
07:07and closer to every race but um yeah just try and do what i've been doing um and see but this
07:14motorcycle racing you never know good luck cheers mate yeah brad's been imperious this weekend i don't
07:19think any well i think he's gonna be out for anybody getting near to him a little bit cooler the breeze
07:24is the main thing like shaky said they're really feeling that gotta be good yeah well the self-styled
07:30milky bar kid certainly didn't melt in the heat here at snetterton earlier on he's just got to keep it
07:35sweet for the remainder of the day and he can make it a back-to-back treble bsb race three is live after
07:42the break
07:42it's time for the final race of the weekend at snetterton it has been a glorious weekend of
07:54weather but it is just starting to cool down a bit there's a breeze in the air but they're still the
07:59same manner that looking to chase down brad ray has been invincible of late can anyone reel him in
08:07the odds and the bookies say no he leads the championship by 28 points to kyle writhe with
08:13leon haslam only six behind kyle in third glenn erwin of course absent injured yesterday we send him our
08:19best wishes and hopefully he's back soon rory skinner two podiums already this season he's fifth in the
08:24championship ahead of tommy bridewell who's looking somewhere near back to his best this is how they
08:30line up in the final race of the weekend looking for the double treble is brad ray and since the new
08:36three race format has come into this championship that has never been done before ray and skinner there
08:42on that front row bridewell haslam and nesbit of course kyle wright also on that front row as well
08:47cook brooks hidden on row three is this just merely a case of who else will be on the podium james
08:54whitton i think it is exactly that steve yeah i don't think anybody's going to get near oh i mean
09:00all things been as normal you never know he's bike racing anything can happen conditions are challenging
09:06um but i don't think it's anything that brad ray can cope with he's won six from the opening seven
09:12how's brad ray i said earlier on the last time that happened was you in 1993 if he makes it seven
09:17from the opening eight the last time that happened the same year it was you 1993 hey get this so we
09:23only have two races a weekend i knew that one was going to get rolled there again it was easier then
09:28so i'm not i'm not saying anything at the moment you still hold on to that record but brad ray has
09:34been spectacular he would of course tear up some records here no double treble done before at bsb
09:40uh he's on a roll of five from five at snetterton you know i love about him he doesn't he doesn't
09:45to his own on uh like he could do no no ego at all and he still gets nervous he still sits on the
09:53grid and he's nervous and i think that's a really good sign this uh steve plater looking on hoping for
09:58always skinner to do the business they've already had a good weekend they are and um colombe um
10:04getting something of his phone back and shaky just telling everyone all about his lap record here no
10:09doubt anybody will listen here he is then on the raceway's yamaha number 28 bradley ray then
10:16lining up on pole the usual pre-start ritual for tommy bridewell number 46 just behind him
10:20on the honda it's been a good weekend so far for him skinner likewise you can see it's clustery
10:25it's still windy unlike this morning this is a 16 lap race coming up here at snetterton
10:32for round three of 2025 lights out and once again nails the start does bradley ray and this
10:40is key for him absolutely when he's got this pace you don't want to let him get a start like that
10:44that was a perfect launch third one of the weekend for him rory skinner second third for car ride
10:49tommy bridewell fourth place pretty clean for all going through turn one no one fancies a late
10:55lunge on bradley into turn two this time now i think i got sucked in that last time like you said
11:00into palmer turn three and now up towards turn four agostini and this is where
11:10from here on in that bradley ray is just able to hit his markers and no one can get close i don't
11:15think anyone's going to do anything too silly around agostini we go who's behind tommy bridewell it's
11:20leon haslam and danny kent number 52 looking to try and wrestle himself back into some form
11:26yeah struggled for the first part of the season has done it a bit wide on exit there from fraser
11:33rogers at the back of the group there still just trying to get used to setups number seven davy todd
11:38on the 810 racing bmw who's brolly man this weekend is his teammate and co-owner peter hickman
11:44there you go yeah not able to ride peter after knocking himself about the tt but we're glad to see him
11:50here all right trying to find a way through on that decati the cheshire moldings decati of
11:57rory skinner yeah it's impressive what the cheshire moldings boys have done they've run a couple of
12:02different uh makes a bike they've never run a decante uh they're running two this year one in
12:07super sport and one in super bike and they're a very different bike like i've said in terms of
12:11setup no data going in there with uh only borrowed data so that's uh difficult for a team so around
12:18morris for the first time and onto the start finish straight move there from fraser rogers that
12:22looked a bit tight on john mcphee but he's forced his way through on the tag honda never been shy
12:28no never over the line we go it's from him chattering a bit there for kyle right yeah he's
12:35got his he's been resurfaced recently it's a lovely surface really gripping for the most
12:39but it is a little bit rippling going in there as kyle slides up the inside nice yeah really nice
12:46well there for two agen steel stock kawasaki so car ride then moves up into second place
12:56haslan and danny kent are well placed in this one fifth and sixth
13:00a couple of riders in the background just kicking up that grass and dust
13:04from the side there's not been a lot of rain around these parts of lake so it is quite
13:08dry and brown in the grass here and there is danny kent in sixth a good start for danny
13:15yep considering the start to the season he's had
13:19and that is a surprise based on what we saw at the end of last year and
13:24yep like i said he had really good pace the end of last year got his first bsb win and
13:28a couple of times when he didn't win or he wasn't the podium he had the fastest lap he was
13:33on the pace completely most of last year don't discount josh brooks from a sneaky shout at a
13:40solid top five and maybe even better he goes on strong at the end of races but he's off to a good
13:45start the number 25 yep we got a good shot of uh stone stacy on the bathams bmw uh working as hard
13:52as ever we've seen all over the place this weekend certainly trying he said he wanted solid top tens this
13:58weekend he's a tenth in both of the races so far yeah this is that speed tommy was alluding to
14:04earlier around quorum that he seems to have on everyone else oh that was ambitious it was
14:08ambitious and he he was looking at back out of that to be honest and i think it cost them both
14:12a little bit of time yeah he's lost momentum certainly him through goes leon hasland through
14:17goes danny kent but he might have that inside line though to try and take that place back from danny kent
14:21so yeah did you see being on a little bit wider line danny kent got a a real lot of chatter there
14:29and had to just sit the bike up a little bit so again and we've seen that happen quite a bit so
14:36far this weekend riders tried to make that move down into murray's and ultimately it's actually
14:40cost them more than what they were going for yeah the outside line at corms which is where we are now
14:45he's got good pace there that puts you on the inside into murray's but you're too tight on the inside and
14:50actually there was nearly contact and he had to back out of it and lost all his momentum onto the
14:54start and finish 46.6 already from bradley ray out front astonishing pace that he has had all weekend
15:01it's a lovely place to be as a rider when all you've got to do in each subsequent race is the
15:07same as you've been doing new tires on off you go you don't have to do anything silly and you know
15:13james that doesn't happen a lot in your racing career really doesn't happen a lot honestly it does
15:17for some people but but for most no
15:19decent crowding as you would expect with the weather good here in norfolk at the moment
15:25and the races will be coming thick and fast after this yeah and you get a good crowd here as well
15:30typically quite knowledgeable and they don't go to many other places because we're quite what are we
15:36not isolated but it's it's way out from it's the only opportunity if you live local to get to a
15:42bsp without traveling a lot i can promise you it's quite a trek to get everyone you have to do it
15:46every week yeah this is haslam who's looking in a better position in this third race at the start of
15:54it anyway he's had to do a lot of work throughout this weekend although typically on haslam when you
15:59actually look at his results he's not been any lower than sticks at any stage so far this year and
16:03there might be something uh in line here he's squabbling for a podium on the motor rapido to
16:09catty yeah 42 years old but uh still not afraid to put a shift in is he see that boot smoking again
16:16there from brad ray i wish he'd stopped that i keep thinking smoking on the bike
16:21bride well then the weekend let's say he was hoping for it's a step in the right direction
16:34absolutely yeah
16:35into agostini corner he's just up ahead of danny kent who looks like he's running a bit wide
16:44on the mccams yamaha haslam now itching closer to robert skinner who's in third place
16:51car ride seems to have found something from the earlier race as well he's in second spot he's
16:57just broken away from the two decatis behind him
16:59there you can see on the left of your screen the various parties supporting their riders
17:11respective teams yeah steve rogers and the raceways team top left underneath that alan gardner
17:15umg boss steve plater and then uh rocket ron birthday boy rocket ron
17:2360 today oh many happy returns oh he's about 75 i don't know how old he's i've been kind of
17:30he's his birthday today i don't know how old he is but he's sat he's found this fountain of youth
17:34because he's certainly don't look his age all right corum curve on this fourth lap skinner
17:41number 11 just ahead of haslam and tommy bridewell goes through an error there from haslam absolutely
17:46and uh there to sweep it up quickly was tommy bridewell so bridewell now up into fourth place
17:53i don't quite know what happened there maybe mr gear i know that uh bridewell did really really well
17:59because normally when somebody has a big issue then really slows in front of you it costs you more time
18:03than them because they get going again and you're you're still fumbling trying to not sort of running
18:08to the same accident you know a few riders that are further back in this race than they would hope
18:13to be based on the weekend so far the two kawasaki's are cooking it in the eighth and ninth and charlie
18:18nesbitt uh just outside that top 10 at present let's have another look at this
18:22you'd have to think got it out of gear
18:28the one obviously knows what it is meanwhile out front we've not seen too much of him because he's
18:38been resplendent although i'm just marginally quicker than brad ray on that last lap was
18:43quite all right in second on the nitrous competitions rmg yamaha yeah but you're getting
18:47up towards two seconds uh brad will be looking at his board on the start and finish he'll know
18:53exactly what he needs to do and not only that he'll be able to do it if he needs to do
18:56it's bud nesbitt on the gas there 86 sliding it onto the back straight you've got to be keen
19:07and you've got to be accurate getting out onto that back straight because it makes a difference
19:11most of the way down and that was him just light it up a little bit it's a huge group of hondas
19:18actually uh all together there starting with lee jackson there's a bit behind him and then rogers
19:24andy erwith mcconnell mcfee hedger van sekelris in 80th all of them from 11th to 18th on honda
19:31machines as nesbitt goes through on jackson yeah i'm just thinking that shouldn't work because he
19:37got just about level with jackson thereby jackson wasn't going to cut across the front of him
19:42not knowing he was there should be pretty equal those bikes same spec
19:46whilst kyle ride hasn't got anything for brad ray at the moment because as you rightly mentioned
19:55brad can kind of manage it from here on in with a two second lead a 47-2 from kyle ride they've
20:01obviously found something you want this afternoon's race yeah because that time he's dragging him away
20:07from everybody else there he is the reigning champion
20:11would have been gutted that that second place went begging earlier on the lunch on rory skinner
20:19ultimately meant that he had to take fourth because generally speaking he has been the only rider that's
20:26been getting close to brad yeah i think he's quite an honest lad he's kyle and he said i really knew
20:33i didn't have anything for brad i had to have a go he said i looked a bit scrappy at the beginning of
20:39race two of the weekend just because i thought i had to try and get in front of him and an upset his
20:43rhythm but he knew it wasn't gonna work he said that said when you actually look back at kyle ride's
20:49results at snetterton it's been one of his best weekends here yeah and he's got to take something
20:53from that yeah the intervals there and the comparisons between danny kent from the mccams
21:00yamaha number 52 and number 25 the dao racing honda josh brooks brooks at this stage of the race
21:07starts to get stronger he likes to build into all sorts of races and the urban has gone down yes it is
21:13yeah bike still running you can see the back wheel going around he's trying to stop it he's trying to
21:20stall the bike and i'm not sure whether sticking your foot in it is gonna he's gonna do that
21:25yeah he doesn't want the bike running on its side what tends to happen is the the engine
21:33fix air up instead of oil and it'll end up wrecking a simple and not very damaging crash like that can
21:39wreck the engine but actually i'm not sure sticking it for the back wheel i know it's a really good
21:45idea there's a couple of versions of don't try this at home just unfolded that let's have a look
21:52here uh josh brooks then and he was getting closer to danny kent and has made his move into richie's
21:57corner on the dao racing honda brooks just put in his personal best lap of the race like you said
22:03a slow burner another 46.9 though for brad ray and you know for brad this is a lovely lovely place to
22:11be you're kind of controlling it you can actually enjoy your riding when it's like that and you've
22:16got this much in that but like you said this happens really rarely in a career and it can
22:22unravel so quickly so you can't make the mocha most of it correct yeah
22:25max cook number 30 ahead of his teammate christian idden
22:31blockton now has had a fairly decent weekend his best of the season so far a fifth and a sixth
22:36and uh lord station there number 79 uh that's still that's the back of andy erwin the marshall's
22:43keeping out of the way no overtaking under yellow flags uh so you've got a sort of hold station you
22:49want to go quick but you can't actually pass anybody obviously the danger is if anybody else
22:54crashes there the marshalls have to get out of the way they've got whistles when the packs come
22:58in uh somebody's watching the whole time the whistle marshalls that are trying to shift the
23:01bike get out of the way because you don't want scything by a sliding bike should somebody else crash
23:06yeah that bike was still running as well so the marshalls have still got a job on here
23:10yeah to try and get that clear before the leaders come round again we start lap eight of 16
23:17and you're looking here at the battle for third the final place on the podium rory skinner at the
23:28moment looking to take that really unlucky yesterday not to take at least a fourth spot
23:34yeah that would have just been a really good weekend from then i mean the good weekend for me is the fact
23:40they've been competitive and look good i don't think rory would have been too concerned about
23:45the the breakdown it's a simple thing it didn't cost him anything else except that race itself
23:50and i think you'd swap that than a finish of eight to ninth you know what i mean he was running strong
23:56yeah and not often in his career because of bad luck that he's been able to string a couple of
24:00race weekends together with consecutive podiums so this is a real sort of breakthrough moment
24:04feels like it doesn't it yeah for rory and he deserves it he really does absolutely such a nice
24:09kid and just loves his motorcycles they all do you know they all they all love bikes otherwise you
24:15wouldn't be here would you this isn't a job you choose unless you have been on bikes most of your
24:20life just coming up to brandle and nelson now formerly known as the esses and they've done well there
24:29they have to finally get that bike cleared did you see that andy always still helping of course he is
24:34he's still there he's a strong lad is andy as well i recall the crash for glenn at the final round
24:41last year and he ran over and like some sort of superhero lifted a ducati up like it was like
24:47he's through it and that's a 200 best best part 200 kilo here comes tommy as a medic stick this time
24:54yes he has has it costing time yes probably a little bit what can rory do now down this
24:58now that's a good move from from tommy that yeah he's executed that well but he's got two powerful
25:04ducati's up alongside him and leon haslam is going for two in one yeah into ritchie's it's a double
25:09apex right-handed this might still work out for him brilliant stuff there firstly a good move from
25:14tommy and then a really brave and great move from leon haslam as well tommy bridewell oh he was he was
25:21lucky that rory was a little bit unsighted and had to just lift up to miss the back of haslam there
25:27good little battle this it is and leon haslam is now in a podium position on his moto rapido ducati
25:35couple of really good experience well mechanic moves there from tommy bridewell and then leon haslam
25:43yeah even though tommy did get out the chicane really well it's definitely cost him here this is
25:49bold because he's slightly offline he's quite in as well i thought like you he wasn't going to make
25:54that second apex he did
25:55an opportunist move from tommy
26:01and this is what's just happened a moment ago tommy back through on leon haslam
26:10that was actually very clean onto the back straight and that power of the ducati comes
26:16back through leon haslam they love a move or two don't they both leon and tommy this is a good
26:22scrap but if it continues you know who they might invite oh i was about to say they might invite josh
26:29but in the background there he just made a mistake and he's got danny kent and max cook now with him
26:33yeah exactly yeah he's he's sucked himself back in that groove again fast around current curve for
26:39tommy bridewell on that red and blue honda number 46
26:43left onto the home straight bradley ray's just flown past our commentary box here he's got 2.8 seconds
26:49on kyle rye this is the battle for third haslam has it at the moment from tommy bridewell who's got
26:54that inside line and through comes rory skinner as well on tommy will he hold his line this time
26:59he will bridewell will surely though look to try and repay the favor down into wilson corner
27:04and does but it's not quite close enough no
27:07nice battle yes and rory skinner at this stage you've got to say he's learning heaps
27:15look at the experienced riders he's around serial winners in british super bikes
27:19yeah not only that just getting raced you know get a bit punchy with people and picking your line
27:25and running offline
27:26through agostini
27:31in the background josh brooks has cleared himself of the rest of the pack there in 6th ahead of cook and kent
27:39big bellowing v4 decatted
27:47and the more traditional honda across the frame fall for that honda's a quick bike though
27:54you would expect the decathoe as rory gets it a bit squirrely coming onto the back straight like i said
28:00you you're really keen to get the the power on there and get it driving to see it all those out
28:05down the straight but the downside of that is sometimes you get it sliding you lose more time
28:08than you're trying to get in yeah you can sort of see there the honda's got enough poke to kind of get
28:12in the slipstream and pull a little but not quite pull up alongside i think you'd expect that a kate
28:16v4 to have a little bit of lift out the corners a little bit more grunt but the honda has a lot
28:21of top end once he gets into top third fourth fifth year in high revs look at this he's so good there
28:26is tommy he's not going to have a look here is he again yes he is and is this time you're going to
28:31make it stick that was lovely again from tommy bridewell on the approach to mary's in he's not
28:36lost too much time but again look at the punch from that decati is he now going to have the speed on
28:41tommy to go through into turn one no he isn't because because tommy had a little bit of a slipstream
28:45from leon haslam at the same time
28:47this is third place leon haslam number 91 looking for his second third podium of the season
29:02of course victorious at alton park at the opening round of the championship bridewell looking to make
29:07it three podiums in a row having gone podiumless in the opening five yeah and i've just been lost
29:14for the first couple of meetings whatever happens now i am sure honda and especially tommy bridewell
29:21will take a lot away from this meeting at snetterton and the good thing is as well is that you know
29:26he'll be competitive at knock hill and it will just start to come back to him a bit yeah you don't
29:31get two more different circuits than uh snetterton 300 or knock hill this is more continental in its
29:37feel uh the the infield was designed in the last few years therefore it's constant radius uh nice
29:43camber the rest of the circuit is the old part it's a little bit flatter but it is it has more of a
29:48continental feel big lots of runoff uh knock hill quite the opposite scratchy kind of i don't mean
29:54this in a bad way it's lovely it's a great place to race i always love knock hill uh but it's different
29:58kind of circuits it'll suit a different ride a different bike yeah well that's look no further
30:03the brawish skinner with this sort of form he will be looking forward to that i think yeah
30:07we're on lap 11 of 16 if you're just tuning in brad ray at the moment managing a two and a half
30:13second lead to kyle writhes this is the battle for third place which has been really raging on and
30:18continues to as bridewell goes through on has them again down into murray's and again on the cutback
30:24here now getting into the slipstream number 91 leon has them here pull up alongside tommy bridewell he's
30:29got the inside line on the approach to richie's corner yeah but the important thing there is did
30:34you see that tommy bridewell was able to hold that lead just over the last lap do or die move it would
30:44work i tell you what if he does get another 40 of his work for it i was about to say rory skinner's
30:54up against two riders here where he just won't ever let go no no no drop the ball no no
31:05in the background josh brooks three tenths quicker than the trio here ahead of him but i think it's just
31:10going to run out of time although if they continue to take these lumps out of each other then you
31:14never know just going to say if they keep holding each other up then he has got a chance i think if
31:19they settle down and and stop this i think he's not going to catch him
31:27start building onto the back straight there is bradley ray on the raceways yamaha who's been
31:31resplendent car ride in these last couple of laps has just been marginally quicker but the gap's still
31:36above two seconds i mean if it was under a second we'd get i think so i think we'd talk about it
31:41more yeah and i always used to think anything sort of one and a half seconds and above especially two
31:45seconds or above that you've got time to manage it and do something about it should somebody come
31:50through and start catching you josh brooks here in sixth place has brought a party along with him
31:56he has but not about me for josh no no he's steadily going about his business it's all about building not
32:02just for hipper for the team it's new bike for him new bike for the team down racing trying to get
32:07themselves uh into contention yeah you've got to dock your cap to to dow racing uh and especially
32:14team leader so might um because she's not shy of putting the money in yeah her and clarissa have
32:20done a tremendous job exactly yeah i agree yeah i saw very briefly there just looking at the times from
32:27brooks a 48.2 again just slightly quicker than skinner a bit further up the road this is the
32:33battle that rages on between haslam tommy pridewell and rory skinner one of these three is thinking
32:41will be on the podium this sounds an obvious thing but one of the good things about being involved in
32:46a race like this is the race flies by yeah it just doesn't you look you think christ we haven't got that
32:52many laps left and when you're on your own in no man's land especially if somebody's catching it
32:55it takes a long time yeah for brad and for even kyle actually in a bit of a lonely second this will
33:00have felt like quite a long race exactly yeah yeah yeah but uh these guys will have been enjoying
33:04themselves that's for sure
33:10if not enjoying themselves at least occupy
33:13tommy bridewell that was inventive and it was great it was good on it you've not seen too many of
33:20them over the course of the weekend that's for sure tommy pride well then going through only on
33:23haslam haslam haslam here looking to return the favor he's got the inside line on the approach to
33:28brundle and will not go through because tommy closes the door going gonna yield it's a little
33:34bit wide on the left but it doesn't matter that puts him on the inside for the right they've lost a
33:38few tenths of a second to brooks and co in the background yeah because this is costing them all time
33:42i'm impressed with tommy that even though it's not part of a master plan he still wants to have a
33:49a bit of a nip anywhere he can
33:52ryan corham kerb the fans here who might not have seen much of a race for
33:56the win are certainly being treated to a fantastic battle for the podium
34:02over the line the gap between ray and ride
34:051.7 seconds i will keep an eye on it but for now that's still more than manageable for ray this
34:11is the scrap for now we keep our eyes on haslam through on tommy bridewell
34:19and again brooks on that last lap a good chunk quicker than the rest and that's a mistake again
34:24from leon haslam so tommy bridewell goes through and all the time these are another tenth or two
34:29go in the way of brooks in six correct yeah now a mistake from tommy and again they're losing tenths
34:35every time this happens the trouble is james not only are they scrapping but they're losing grip
34:40aren't they at this late stage of the race
34:44so here we go
34:50down into number 91 leon haslam
34:53it's 46 tommy bridewell just behind him and then rory skinner brooks still there in sixth place
35:03hanging on they've got to be careful these boys they have if they keep knocking lumps off each other
35:13feels like they might just run out of time brooks and co i think so yeah because there's with three
35:16laps to go but anything's possible here because there's going to be some desperate lunges about to be
35:21lined up there already have been the man who sat there for the last few laps is rory skinner and
35:25it does look to have a little bit of face i wonder if he's got some off his sleeve
35:30some eye there just on the left keeping an eye on uh rider the australian two-time british super
35:35fight champion josh brooks and again here comes tommy lining up his favorite move around corum
35:42oh he's away about this time and actually did you see leon quite defensive yeah and he's got the he's got
35:48the kind of luxury better to do that as as leon because his bike just has a little bit of lift
35:53out of that corner of the honda i think
35:58pushing on the front there for leon haslam through turn one which he's calling a double apex right hander
36:05will he have a look down into wilson no not for now this is the penultimate lap of the race
36:10meanwhile you lead back to just below two seconds this is uh everything perfectly in hand for brad ray
36:20your leader yeah went on course for the first ever uh double treble
36:26still brooks dragging danny kent and max cook with him should this go wrong up ahead of him
36:40moto rapido to catty rider leon haslam these are valuable points for haslam as well remember he's
36:45third in the championship yeah you'd have to say through consistency more than anything else but they
36:55they build now around oggy's and williams onto the bentley straight tommy not close enough to have
37:02a look here down into brundle but he might just try and line up his favorite move from the bomb hole
37:10onwards all the way around corum let's watch then from here it's actually close enough to have a go
37:15at this this lap through the dip at the bomb hole and then starts building and this is where he's
37:21seemingly had more speed than most this weekend doesn't look like he's going to make the move though
37:29no or is he waiting is he waiting yeah so then he can't reply he's already done a just rehearsal and
37:35as you might he said earlier he knows he can get to the line if he pulls it off yeah we're about to
37:40find out it's the final lap of the race here at snetterton and is he going to go early no into
37:46ritchie's this is the fight for third i don't think tommy's got the speed down the straight to put
37:51himself in a position to practically make it through there without taking risk he's going to apply the
37:56pressure though they both run in nicely to wilson corner no one running wide there
38:02of course if he does leave it until the last corner it leaves leon with
38:08no chance of a real reply definitely also leaves you just one go so if your man that you're trying
38:12to get past has a plan as well and changes you know what he's doing then
38:18and all the while still another few laps of this race at brooks and those behind him would be on these
38:23guys yeah they would three times quicker last lap solid sixth at the moment for brooks
38:31but it's haslam bridewell and skinner that we have our eyes on skinner knows that tommy will
38:36have a look somewhere and will be desperate to pick up the pieces as your leader 28 bradbury
38:41second place man keeping him honest yeah but a much better stronger ride from kyle right absolutely
38:46this is where tommy needs to be right in the slipstream and he's not close enough to have
38:52a go at the end of the straight i'm sure no it's going to be all lining up for murray's now
38:56this is yeah he's got one shot this and we might be seeing it from a different camera angle because
39:01i think just as they reach that final corner brad ray will be coming over the line he's now coming
39:05into the final corner himself imperious invincible we're running out of words for brad ray the first
39:13ever double treble in british superbike history he cleans up at snett ahead of car ride but who's
39:19going to take third it is defensive from haslam down into murray's and i think he might have just
39:23done enough here to hold on to third place on the number 91 motor rapido to catty he does take turn
39:31ahead of tommy bridewell his first podium at snett of the weekend ahead of skinner and brooks who is
39:36strong in the end it is seven from the opening eight races for bradley ray and he's just in that
39:44form and he looks unstoppable at the moment can you believe this in bsb this year we have had 126
39:55racing laps and brad ray has led 105 of them yeah yeah the way he's made it look they've got
40:02got you've got to think that is if you're one of his rivals that you've got your work cut out for
40:09the rest of the season yeah he's won all of his last six races now here at snetterton you could say
40:18snett is brad's pad good ride from kyle though absolute second he limits the damage done to him by brad
40:26in the championship but it is going to be a 30 point difference between the two and a good weekend
40:31for rory skinner as well i think a breakthrough weekend for rory leon haslam back on the podium
40:42of course his third and first at alton park a sixth a fifth and a fourth at donington a fourth and a
40:47fifth yesterday and now p3 he's nothing if not consistent yeah thank you steve rogers feeling
40:58the pressure a little bit not a lot of pressure though got a good man he only came out retirement
41:02did did steve because he knew he was going to get the bike and more importantly brad ray yeah
41:09what a rider he has gone as well yeah it won't be like this all the way through the season snettison i
41:15think we all had a feeling because of his treble here a few years back that he was going to be
41:20perhaps the favorite he did stand out there will be opportunities for others at the places like not
41:27kill at places like trucks but you know he's going to be in the mountain beetle he is looking at the
41:32moment like some force yep mark woodage there another person who was actually thinking about walking
41:40away um from the paddock he didn't have a job in place he was going to sit back at home and do something
41:44else it does a lot of work at home we've got a good workshop engine builder can turn the living
41:49out of bikes anyway by not doing this uh but when you get the opportunity to work with brad ray on
41:56what is essentially the best one of the best yamaha's on the grid well what are you going to do
42:02so let's get the results and standings up here for you then for the final race of bsp here at
42:08bradley ray the winner 1.6 ahead of kyle ride and improving kyle ride leon haslan
42:13third ahead of tommy bridewell rory skinner great weekend for him fifth josh brooks a solid sixth ahead
42:18of kent and cook storm stacy ninth uh charlene has bit in tenth spot the final points went to christian
42:25is in a bit off color in that final race fraser rogers 12th lee jackson 13th ahead of mcphee and
42:30billy mcconnell missing out on the points there vanson kelris hedger kurt todd and blaze baker
42:35so brad ray then in charge in a weekend where we're missing glenn irwin he drops down to fourth
42:43ray takes a 30 point lead into knock hill in scotland in a couple of weeks time kyle ride
42:49second in the championship and leon haslam still there in third only eight points behind kyle ride
42:55overall rory skinner and tommy bridewell have had great weekends their fifth and sixth overall
42:59ahead of brooks kent has dropped down to eighth idden is ninth charlene's for tenth
43:06and there were points on offer here three top tens this weekend for storm stacy 11th in the
43:10championship ahead of cook mcphee jackson rogers and the irwin scot swan billy mcconnell hickman and hedger
43:23so the riders make their way into park firme we're still waiting for the race winner here he comes now
43:28six on the bounce for brad ray we'll hear from him in a few minutes
43:35a rivalry that started back in pocket bikes when they were just pocket sized car ride
43:49and brad ray showing what they're all about here at snetterton fantastic performance from both but
43:54ultimately the defending champion unable to stop the first ever double treble in bsb history uh what a day
44:01as well for the haslam family ron's 60th or 60 odd birthday let's find out his son's feeling leon
44:07after getting it on the podium for him leon you told me it's been a difficult weekend so far i mean
44:13i know you very well i know you would have enjoyed that battle you got a smile on your face you're on
44:16the podium how are you feeling yeah honestly we was off the pace all weekend we handling through our
44:21connection we just couldn't really get it sorted or dialed in and yeah we've been doing a bit of
44:25a bit of screaming and shouting and we'll come up with the goods for that last race uh so our
44:29connection come back to where i wanted it chassis was a lot better i think i was a second a lot
44:33faster than what i qualified on so we've made some big steps and to have that amazing battle with rory
44:37and with bridewell to get a podium at the last day and it's my dad's birthday today so big one for him
44:41hey we're just hearing a debate actually how old is ron today i think he's my favorite number
44:46what 91 he's not that old cheers thank you guys and yeah big thanks to the team well done leon great job
44:52uh right kyle right coming in in second place kyle what a fantastic performance you uh you kept
44:56bradley honest there gab never really got too far away and uh yeah he plugged away another strong
45:01second place yeah we made the bike a lot better for that last one it was just nice to put a bit
45:05of pressure on bread to be honest it feels like a win i know i know i come second just to be able
45:09to keep up with him for 16 laps after the one lap speed is out all weekend i'm very proud of myself
45:13for that one and uh yeah hats off to all the boys they gave me a really good ride for that one and i uh
45:18well it was tough i really enjoyed it so yeah thanks for all the support everyone i've had a good
45:21weekend completely different circuit coming up obviously next time out we're at knock hill looking
45:25forward to that one yeah i mean my bike's pretty good everywhere at the minute i've been riding
45:28it for a few years and every chat we go to it's pretty solid um brad's obviously going to be fast
45:33as we all know um so yeah just got to pull my finger out like i did in that last race on friday
45:37and we should be good well done fantastic performance car everyone thank you cheers
45:40right brad ray will be coming in a second he's done a quick chat with mark wood is his crew chief
45:44bradley triple double um what a performance what a weekend what a season so far
45:50yeah no it's good um honestly carl kept me really honest in that race i was able to pull at the
45:54start but um the time was coming down i tried to manage the lap times and uh was able to to respond
46:01when i needed to i think we was almost identically matching lap times i made a few small mistakes at
46:06the end a few laps to go because i was so excited to to be what do do what i was doing and to finish
46:11the triple but um yeah overall a very positive weekend and uh looking forward to knock hill i just
46:17mentioned to kyle actually uh knock hill completely different circuit to uh to sneston here this one
46:21a bit more european flair if you like but knock hill is his own little scratchy track how you feeling
46:26about that one yeah good knock hill has always been a good track for me i got a win there in 22 and and
46:31two podiums so looking forward to it it's obviously going to be a lot tougher i think the the group will
46:35be tighter um and and the times will be a lot tighter so uh yeah have a couple of weeks off and then
46:40we're ahead to knock hill look forward to that well done bradley cheers mate thank you
46:43yeah what a performance from brad brad ray let's uh get the thoughts of the boss now team owner for
46:50raceways yamaha steve rogers steve i know you've you've had your eye on brad for a few years now
46:55and you finally got the opportunity to put a bike underneath him did you expect this level of
46:59performance from him oh no i mean we expected to be at the front obviously you know brad coming back
47:06from world championships you know that's another level um i knew the bike could be good the team would be
47:10good but to win what we're doing is uh i mean it's just him and it is just on another level
47:16what is it you know free in your experience you've got plenty of it you've worked with
47:20pretty much all of the top riders in bsp over the the last few years that uh what is it do you think
47:24that's setting brad apart at this stage of the season early days of course though oh it is yeah
47:28there's a long way to go um it's just his attitude he's just he's come he's come to prove a point you
47:34know um and he's just he thinks he's gonna win and he just does don't he so i've never known anything
47:39like it um i mean i think he's topped absolutely everything this weekend don't he so uh yeah it's
47:44just he's on it at the minute and no one's ever done back-to-back trebles in bsp before so that's
47:49another one chalked off but for your team as well this came together late obviously steve i mean you
47:53you've kind of folded up uh you know what 18 months ago so and no regrets now about coming back i guess
48:00no no i mean it it it was a no-brainer really wasn't it i mean um you know put brad on a yamaha
48:06we've got so much experience with the yamaha um yes and it's always good when you're winning into
48:13long may continue steve congrats i'll let you go and enjoy the podium
48:20the top three and the man to stop great to see leon haslam on the podium uh steve wilf moore must
48:25work very hard to uh get that bike in some sort of order again for him to be competitive didn't
48:30really see that one coming it is podium number 120 at bsp for leon and his third of the season he's
48:39third in the championship as well kyle wright of course second in the championship his 44th
48:44bsp podium but it's four in the last six so going in the right direction but the records keep on breaking
48:50for your race winner podium number 41 win number 18 and the seventh of the season in just eight
48:57races your race winner here and treble winner is brad ray i believe there'll be a special trophy
49:04awarded to brad as well because it is of course netterton the race of aces sponsored by quattro
49:10group so i'm expecting that to come up or is it going to be the national anthem i don't think they're
49:14even ready for it yeah here is the quattro group race of aces trophy about to be handed to the man
49:22with the most points and by virtue of the fact that he's won all three no surprises to see where that
49:27one is going some fine names on that too let's pause for the national anthem for the treble winner bradley
49:44so
49:57so
50:05so
50:14unbeaten now then in six races meet bsb's juggernaut bradley ray
50:23yeah he's going to take some stopping isn't he we head up north of the border to knock hill
50:30if you can't be there make sure you join us on tnt sports for that one in a fortnight's time and
50:35brad will go up there with a big smile on his face all the way there he was in a different post
50:39go different league all weekend here to be fair completely uh barring a breakdown or in clement
50:43whether uh neither of which we got with brad uh this was going to happen in my opinion his
50:48launches were perfect he got in a position where he's in the front able to set his own lap times
50:52and they were just better than anybody else was capable of the the bad news for most people is
50:57i don't think he's got a weak set coming i think you know with the decay you say well they're going
51:02to go through and they don't work there actually him especially on the yama he's kind of all right
51:07everywhere yeah i mean there's not much more you can say than that just absolutely dominant and
51:14it wasn't even like you know sometimes there's a little chick off the star or something like that
51:18yeah he nailed everyone whole shot at every race and apart from that one glimpse of well half a second
51:23in their turn two you know he was never led and he controlled it so beautifully yeah what can you say
51:28he's on it yeah we'll have more reaction to that race uh later on uh in the show
