00:00Welcome back here to not kill. We had a red flag earlier on due to climatic conditions. The rain has just steadied a bit. Pit lane has just closed. Riders out on circuit on their sighting lap ready for a quick restart and a 25 lap race. Brad Ray will start from pole position. Rory Skinner was leading when the red flag came out but it raised that from your memory because they're back to original grid positions and this is a brand new race.
00:26Bradley Ray on the brink of history looking to become the first rider ever to win nine on the trot. Yeah if they'd run a third of resistance it would have gone. The grip position would have been formed from the position at that point when the race was stopped. Not so. So it was original grip positions. The disappointing thing for Rory Skinner is the fact that he made a cracking start and just got his nose in front and he's got to do that again and that's not a given.
00:53No it absolutely isn't because Brad Ray more often than not gets the job done. Yeah. From pole position. So Rory's going to have to try and bolt from the start. We saw earlier on that Storm Stacey got a really good launch. There are now going to be warm up laps that take place.
01:09Cheshire Moulding's team manager Steve Plater hoping that Rory could do the job.
01:15Speaking to Rory earlier on after his second podium of the weekend and he said that he just feels that it's the first time in his career that he's just had a bit of a break and he's getting on a bit of a roll because in the past James every time he's just looked like he's about to go on a roll it's not gone right.
01:30Yeah that's true.
01:31Ray is on pole from Skinner and Kent. Danny Kent then. Can he get the job done on the McCam's Yamaha? Stacey Rogers and Andy Irwin. That's an attacking row two.
01:38Bridewell, Ryden, Iden on row three. Plenty of experience on offer there with Haslam, Brooks and Cook on row four.
01:45Starting from 13th is Lee Jackson from Luke Hedget and Scott Swan and then it's McPhee and Nesbitt. The two Master Mack Honda teammates who have really had a tough time of it here this weekend.
01:58They're 16th and 17th ahead of Billy McConnell. It's 19th for Scott Redding on the Hager PBM Ducati. Good to hear that Glenn Irwin is in good spirit back at home.
02:07We said he's our best Glenn. Hoping that we'll see him in the paddock when we go to Browns Hatch in two weeks time.
02:15Two warm-up lapses ever here and not kill and a 25 lap race.
02:18Yeah, I'd like to reiterate that and send my good wishes and a speeder at recovery for Glenn Irwin.
02:24He was supposed to be at Carl Fogarty's 60th birthday party last week. He was missed.
02:30He was definitely going to make it and we sent him a nice sort of message.
02:33He's at a well-spill now and back at home and recovering. It's a big whack he's had.
02:37And, well, related birthday wishes to Carl Fogarty himself as well on his 60th birthday. He's looking well.
02:45Don't laugh.
02:46I'm not laughing.
02:48Right, here we go.
02:49You can see me. Don't throw me under a hat.
02:52Just a quick one on tyres. For any news has just come true.
02:56Earlier on when the race had started, Sonic Ridewell, Storm Stacey and Carl Rhyde had opted for the harder rear rail.
03:02But because of this brake, they've actually now reverted back to the soft.
03:05Yeah, they've had a look and I think it was a mistake even then.
03:08Even if it hadn't come on terrain any harder, they would have suffered, I think, speaking to other people more early on when it was wet.
03:15The idea is the harder one will cope with the drying conditions like we had at the end of the first race this morning better.
03:23But actually, you've got to get to that point in some kind of position.
03:26Here we go then, the third race of the weekend and a soggy knock hill.
03:3525 laps coming your way.
03:37He did the treble at Donington.
03:39He did the treble at Snetterton.
03:41He's in line for another here in Scotland.
03:43We're about to find out.
03:44It's eyes on the lights here in BSB.
03:47And another good start for Rory Skinner.
03:49And another good start for Storm Stacey as well.
03:51And Skinner might just get the whole shot once again.
03:53He's got the inside line and does go into P1, into turn one.
03:56Good start from Kent as well.
03:58He's fourth.
03:58Fraser Rogers up to fifth.
03:59Andy Irwin sixth.
04:00Yeah, that's a good thing.
04:01It's a carbon copy.
04:02Oh, and that's Storm forcing his way.
04:04Oh, that was Fraser Rogers, I think.
04:06Yeah, Fraser's up to fourth.
04:08There you go.
04:09Come on, Fraser.
04:11Through the chicane we go.
04:13Can't be tricky through here.
04:14Most of the riders have made it through the first sector.
04:16No disrespect to Brad Ray, but I'm really glad that Rory Skinner managed to do exactly the same as he did in the previous start.
04:23Yeah, I agree completely.
04:24Feels like a bit of justice, doesn't it?
04:26Yes.
04:26And let's see how we get on this time.
04:29Storm might just think with a soft, wet rear tyre in that he's got a better chance now as well of staying with Rory and Brad Ray.
04:38Who's that running wide?
04:39Is that Leon Haslam potentially over at the hairpin?
04:42And over the line then to complete land one is Skinner from Ray, from Stacey, from Rogers and Danny Kent.
04:47Yeah, just behind that is Andy Irwin.
04:49Just slid under his teammate at the hairpin there.
04:52Tommy Bridewell already looking more comfortable with a softer wet option in the rear.
04:57He dropped down to 15th in that first up.
04:59Rory Skinner straight back into his moves.
05:01Yeah, and Storm Stacey looking a bit punchy, yep, just up behind Brad Ray.
05:05Yeah, Brad Ray here has got a couple of riders behind him who are very hungry.
05:10And don't mind the moves.
05:11Exactly.
05:12Yeah, you wouldn't necessarily want that with a championship league to protect, would you?
05:15No, I don't think anyone would really fancy the look of that plus-nought Storm Stacey on their tipboard.
05:21Breaking now into Taylor's hairpin.
05:24Remember, a reduced race of 25 laps.
05:27That's hidden up the inside of Andy Irwin.
05:31Andy's made a mistake somewhere there because starting that lap.
05:34He was in front of his teammate, even Tommy Bridewell.
05:3852.3, fastest lap of the race already from Brad Ray in second spot.
05:44There is Tommy Bridewell, number 46, currently in sixth ahead of Iden.
05:49He had to do a lot of work in the race earlier on.
05:52Yeah, started from way back because of him sliding off on the first lap.
05:57And obviously, grip positions is formed by your fastest lap in the previous race.
06:03So, yeah, third row, a lot better for Christian.
06:06McCammon's the Yamaha rider just in the background there, Danny Kent, number 52.
06:10This is taking a bit longer than normal to the warm-up.
06:12You get to this one.
06:13That's, and that's a problem.
06:15We've seen that even in the drive-front, Danny.
06:17You've got to get going quicker than this, especially in these conditions.
06:20You find yourself seconds.
06:22Behind when you get going.
06:23No point having a fastest lap towards the end.
06:25You could be somewhere near the beginning and stay there.
06:28Yeah, and that has happened to you, right, quite often in the BSB.
06:31Look at Kyle Wright struggling.
06:33The reigning champion has dropped down to 13th behind Leon Haslund.
06:37Just ahead of Nesbitt and Jackson.
06:39Scott Redding is down to 16th as well.
06:41Christian Hiddin there.
06:44Just looking for a way past Tommy Bridewell.
06:46Christian loves these conditions.
06:48Anything that takes a bit of bravery and getting stuck in, Christian's up for.
06:53Talking of getting stuck in.
06:56Ruby Skinner's getting tucked into this race.
06:58But 52.2 is just half a second up now on Bradley Ray at the sharp end of the race.
07:06And Storm Stacey is only four tenths behind Bradley.
07:08Bradley Ray's in a bit of a position here because he's never had to make this decision, really.
07:15Is he going to take a risk or two to stay with Rory and maybe, you know, risk falling down in these conditions.
07:23It will be easy.
07:24How does he just think about the championship?
07:27It's hard, isn't it?
07:28Yeah, because it's still feeling.
07:30I mean, we're still so early on in the championship.
07:32Really, yeah.
07:32Can't afford to make a mistake.
07:34No, especially with the points gap being so small early on in the championship.
07:38Only two points between first and second.
07:41I mean, his nearest championship rival is Kyle Wright.
07:43He's at the moment down in 13th place.
07:46Although the way Rory Skinner's going at the moment, Rory Skinner might soon be the next best contender.
07:52But so, trusting dilemma there for the championship leader.
07:57As we look here at Christian Nidden now through on Tommy Bridewell and into sixth place on his AGM SteelStock Kawasaki.
08:06Keep track of his lap time in just a moment.
08:08Further back there, it's a lunge from Leon Haslam as he moved up to Scott.
08:13Over the line, a 51.5 now from Brad Ray.
08:16He is the fastest rider on circuit.
08:18So, just four tenths between Skinner and Ray.
08:25And on that lap, Storm Stacey half a second slow.
08:27And you can see that gap has come down.
08:29Yeah, I think we can deduce from this that his theory is he's going to have a go.
08:34Still, yeah.
08:35With Rory.
08:36Yeah, well, he wants that record, doesn't he?
08:41From Shaky, the piece of bragging rights later on if that comes off.
08:44Yeah, and you know, sometimes you're going to get a little bit of spray coming back from the rider in front.
08:49Well, when it's one rider in front, it's not too bad.
08:52It's three and four riders in front when you're in a pack.
08:54When you get a really bad spray and that just spoils your vision everywhere.
08:57Here comes Christian up to the inside of Danny King.
09:00Clean move that and made the corner.
09:02Lovely.
09:03He's had some decent results actually on the Kawasaki.
09:06It's never to leave us fifth and sixth on the first two races.
09:09I think that the team are really pleased with him.
09:11I chat with Darren this morning.
09:12Darren Fry, who's one of the team owners.
09:14And he said, look, we know we're on a bike that's kind of...
09:17He's just a bit long in the tooth.
09:19The way he put it was, look, nobody else runs one, just us.
09:24And if there were a really compacted bike, other people would be running.
09:28He's Baker's in trouble here.
09:30Bike in the middle of the circuit as well.
09:31And that's at the hairpin.
09:33Marshall's legging it over there to get that one moved.
09:36Hopefully Blaise is okay as he lifts away.
09:38Yeah, and hopefully it hasn't hit the ground hard enough to do any damage to a casing or leaking a fuel.
09:42We've got yellow flags here rightly, as you would imagine.
09:44Rory Skinner coming into the hairpin with Bradley Ray just behind him.
09:47And they've done very well to move that bike as quick as it did.
09:50Yeah, we've got a red flag.
09:52I reckon that might either that there's an incident somewhere else or there's contamination on the track.
09:59There you go, there it is.
10:00It's time to come out.
10:01I just said, I hope it hasn't gone down hard enough.
10:03Well, it has.
10:04That's broken a casing or even that could be fuel.
10:08If it's fuel, it's really difficult to see where it is.
10:11It just floats on top of the water and it gets everywhere.
10:14All you get is a little kind of rainbow look to it.
10:17And it just spreads across the track.
10:20And as riders get on the power out of there, it's not where they don't need it.
10:23Yeah, exactly.
10:25Blaise Baker is okay.
10:26He limped away from the scene.
10:28But it's another red flag here at Knock Hill.
10:31And that means Rory's got to do it all over again.
10:34It just doesn't seem fair.
10:36No.
10:36And there you can see.
10:37Sorry, Rory.
10:39Take three.
10:40Do you know what?
10:40I'm just looking at Danny Buckingham.
10:42It just sat behind us here.
10:44And I looked at him and he just shook his head.
10:45It's like, you know, as a rider that's done a lot of this, it's one of them weekends where you're just happy to be heading in your warm van down the M6.
10:55It's just, yeah, what that means.
11:00The Dow Racing team then get to work.
11:04Of course, there is, I suppose, if there's some light that comes from red flags, if you've maybe made a setup on your bike and you want to make some adjustments, then you can make some minor adjustments here and there to try and get yourself more competitive.
11:17A polite round of applause for Blaise, yeah, as he leaps away.
11:22We hear it's fuel that was dropped from his bike and the problem with that is it's not as viscous and thick as oil.
11:31So in a lot of ways, it's easier to clean up and it does actually tend to evaporate.
11:35But when it's as wet as this, it floats on the surface of the water and it just spreads out.
11:41Imagine dropping a little bit of oil into a bowl of water.
11:44Bing, it just spreads out and that's exactly what's going to happen.
11:46Change of visor there for Storm Stacey.
11:52And we will go again.
11:54I can't believe that.
11:55I mean, I know he's been racing everything from being about five years old as Storm.
11:59He's raced go-karts, he's raced minibikes and right through.
12:03So this is very, very used to this environment.
12:06But he's a really laid-back fellow, isn't he?
12:09Yeah.
12:10Almost too laid-back.
12:10Doesn't ever seem to get nervous.
12:12No, he doesn't.
12:12So the fuel that's gone down, a little bit of a sweep up.
12:18And literally, all they're going to be able to do here to see where the fuel has actually got to on top of that water is just kind of skid it with the feet.
12:27You know, just feel.
12:28It's not ideal.
12:32Isn't it amazing as well how quickly the conditions change here?
12:35Because, I mean, we couldn't even see a little while ago from the heavy rain.
12:38We've almost got a situation here now where we might even have, just like earlier on, a bit of a dry line appear towards the end of the race.
12:44Yeah, because the rain has stopped coming down.
12:47And once it stops coming down here, there's that much camber on all the corners and that many hills, it kind of sheets off.
12:53So we are going to have a restart now over 18 laps.
12:56And because we've completed six laps, the grid will form as of lap six.
13:00So Rory Skinner will start from pole position from Bradley Ray and Storm Stacey.
13:06So Stacey's going to get a shot from the front row and he's very good from lights off.
13:11So that gives him a chance of the whole shot.
13:14Fraser Rogers will head row two from Christian Hiddin and Danny Kent.
13:18Tommy Bridewell will start from seventh ahead of his teammate Andy Irwin and then Max Cook in ninth.
13:23Cook was having a good run there.
13:25McPhee will start tenth ahead of Haslam and Brooks and then it will be Nesbitt, Jackson and Ride.
13:36Top of the cheeks for Tommy.
13:38Yeah, I was just going to say in one of those weekends and that sort of explains it all.
13:42Yeah, and that's from a super experienced rider that's done a lot of racing over a lot of years and even he's puffing his cheeks out.
13:49Lee Bob Jackson.
13:57That's a look, Christian.
14:03Christian was going well there, fifth place.
14:05Yeah.
14:07So he'll start from fifth on the grid.
14:09He was lapping well also.
14:11So there's a potential here for a podium, you know, for Christian Hiddin.
14:15Yeah, an outside chance, I think.
14:16Yeah.
14:17Thumbs up from Nigel Snoop.
14:20John McPhee as well will start from tenth place, the number 17.
14:26He's had some decent points finishes at the start of BSP this year, but he's had some bad luck.
14:31He's just going to say, I was just going to say,
14:33Yeah, little fella hasn't had the best start for a lot of reasons to his BSP career.
14:39You can tell from the level, he's just battered everywhere.
14:41We're going to get pit lane open in, what, around about five minutes.
14:48Chance for us to take a quick break.
14:49When we come back, we'll build up to an 18, no, 16 lap restart.
14:53Welcome back to Not Kill.
15:13Luke Hedger here, absolutely legging it to get a new helmet.
15:18Pit lane open, and he might miss pit lane closes.
15:21Where's he going?
15:23He's got a pixel on in his face.
15:25Yeah.
15:26The Whitecliffe rider, but this is cutting it fine.
15:29Really fine.
15:30No guarantee he's going to make that.
15:32He's putting his helmet on as he runs.
15:34But actually, it's important because he really rides well in these conditions.
15:38We saw that Friday.
15:39He's got the helmet on.
15:42He's just going to make it before pit lane closes here.
15:45Yeah, up it goes.
15:46Perfect.
15:47Well done.
15:47Shake of the head, but he manages to get out.
15:50If you've just tuned in, we had a couple of red flags.
15:53One due to climatic conditions.
15:55The next, after a crash for Blaise Baker, who is okay, a bit of fuel came out.
15:59We weren't sure if it was oil.
16:00So now we've got a third time of asking, a 16-lap restart.
16:05Rory Skinner led both of those races.
16:09He's got to try now and do that again.
16:11But crucially, there's a bit of a change to the grid now.
16:14Storm Stacey moves up a row.
16:16Yeah.
16:17So he will be threat early on.
16:18Fraser Rogers is fourth.
16:19You know, he'll get stuck in.
16:20What's going on here?
16:21Kyle Ryder's missed the pit lane closing.
16:25So he will start.
16:26Well, he'll start ultimately.
16:28I mean, if they could get him out of his stuff in the back of the grid, it might even be a pit lane start here.
16:31Might be a pit lane start, yeah.
16:32Because there's still quite a bit of work going on.
16:35Wow.
16:36Okay.
16:37Well, so much drama here at Knock Hill.
16:39The reigning champion then, with work to do in this one.
16:45Let's hope that they can get him out.
16:47We know how crucial even just a single point can be.
16:52Kyle Ryder picked up a solitary point here last year.
16:55And look what happened at the end of the season.
16:57They know how crucial it is, James.
16:58What are they doing?
16:59That's difficult to understand because...
17:01They're putting a fresh wheel in the front, Anna.
17:06It's difficult to see why they wouldn't want to change that anyway.
17:11He might just make back of the grid.
17:17Yeah, okay, so the pack leaves.
17:20He's just going to make it at the back of this.
17:22He'll have to start at the back of the grid.
17:24We start the warm-up laps.
17:26Yeah.
17:27And...
17:28Yeah, let's get a grid up and show you how this one is going to pan out.
17:33Skinner then is on pole from Bradley Ray and Storm Stacey third.
17:37We know how strong Storm is from the lights out.
17:39Fraser Rogers heads row two from Eden and Kent.
17:42Both Christian and Danny will be hoping for a podium.
17:44The two teammates, Bridewell and Irwin, a 7th and 8th ahead of Max Cook.
17:48Then it's McPhee heading row four from Leon Haslam and Josh Brooks.
17:53Further back, Nesbitt, Jackson, and Ron row five.
17:56The two teammates, Kyle Ride will not start from 15th.
17:59He'll have to start from the back of the grid.
18:01But heading row six is Reading.
18:02Then it's Hedger, who's going to be tired before this race has even started after a marathon.
18:07Then Scott Swan, Kerr, Vancey Kelris, and Davey Todd on row seven.
18:11Jamie Davis starting from 22nd.
18:13Take three, James.
18:16Here we go.
18:20Yep.
18:21The only thing I'm saying is conditions do look to be any slightly better.
18:24Still lying water, but nothing like the amount we've seen.
18:29And actually no rain falling at the minute.
18:31We know how quick this place kind of dries out.
18:34No, it's not going to get dry, fully dry, bare any stretch.
18:38But there will be a drying line by the end of this if we don't get any more rain.
18:41In the championship, Bradley Ray is 41 points ahead of Kyle Ride, who we now know has got to start from the back of the grid.
18:47Yeah, and this is a weekend when he's not been really good in the wet anyway.
18:51He's going to struggle to get past people.
18:53Brad Ray, we know, and he showed it already.
18:56He'll still go for it.
18:57I mean, he doesn't have to win this race to increase his championship lead.
19:01But if he's in a position to do it, he certainly will.
19:03Or will it be a win for Rory Skinner?
19:06He's been on the podium in two of the races so far this weekend on home soil.
19:12He's getting very close to the top three in the championship as well.
19:16Will Storm get in the mix?
19:17Christian Hiddin has had some speed in the wet.
19:19Danny Kent, can he get his gloves off early to get tucked in?
19:23It's a 16-lap race.
19:26Kyle Ride starting at the back of the grid.
19:28Rory Skinner starting from pole.
19:31An attack on to there of Fraser Rogers also to be considered heading row two.
19:39Round four of the BSB championship race three, take three.
19:44Yeah, man to watch in this one of the start.
19:46He's definitely Storm Stacey, left-hand side of front row.
19:49Watch him go.
19:50He'll have a go on this.
19:51Lord Stacey, number 79.
19:53Away we go.
19:54He didn't get a good launch.
19:55It's one of the worst starts he's had all season long.
19:58And Brad Ray, could you just, you just knew it, didn't you?
20:01He takes the lead into turn one ahead of Rory Skinner.
20:06And is he going to launch a move immediately?
20:08He is.
20:08He is.
20:09Straight through.
20:10He's a bit wide on exit.
20:11Brad Ray will have that inside line.
20:13Well done, Rory.
20:14Yeah, and I just felt he had to do that.
20:17Took a little bit of a risk, ran off line, going down and into McIntyre's.
20:22Wow.
20:23Big moment there for Lee Jackson.
20:24Someone's up in the back.
20:25Yeah, it is.
20:26That's, is that Jamie Davis, I think he's just crashed and gone down.
20:30I hope he's all right.
20:31Lee Jackson had a big moment himself.
20:33There's Kyle Ride.
20:34He's made his way through.
20:35Here comes Fraser Rogers from fifth to third.
20:38He's got the inside line.
20:39When he gets his tack on to stops, not quite.
20:41And Christian Hiddin goes up into third place.
20:46It is Skinner.
20:48One thing you know about Fraser.
20:50He's got up and caught up.
20:51That's all.
20:51That's all.
20:52Always.
20:52A little bit of a wing and a prayer there.
20:54Storm's facing here.
20:55Max Cooke's getting involved early on here as well.
20:57That's brilliant to see.
20:58Skinner leads.
20:58Said it found something in the first race, did Max.
21:02Here it goes.
21:03He's sitting up still.
21:04Stay set.
21:06Cheshire Boulding's Ducati rider.
21:07Rory Skinner doing what he did last time.
21:11Yellow Flags here because of Jamie Davis' incident.
21:14And it's Brad Ray.
21:15Then it's green, yellow, green.
21:17That's Chris Chilidon.
21:18The yellow bike there.
21:19The tack on to refraiser Rogers and Max Cooke number 30.
21:22Then Storm Stacey.
21:23Leon Haslam has them as well.
21:24He's up in tight.
21:25Watch Fraser Rogers here.
21:27Didn't it happen?
21:28Yeah.
21:28He's in that battle for third.
21:31Not able to outbrage Fudon.
21:33No, he's not.
21:34Who is strong here.
21:36And not killed.
21:36Invection Max Cooke here.
21:38He struggled all weekend.
21:40Yeah, that is quite a turnaround.
21:42Yeah.
21:42For Max Cooke.
21:43He was 14th in race one yesterday.
21:4515th earlier in the sprint.
21:49John McPhee is well up inside the top 10.
21:52We said earlier he's having a good run.
21:54Can he end his weekend with a big smile?
21:56And again, Danica needed to get going a little bit earlier there.
21:59Skinner immediately getting into the zone.
22:05A 51.9 in these wet conditions is so fast.
22:09Early on it is, yeah.
22:10That's getting straight down to some times, isn't it?
22:12Now, Fraser Rogers in fourth.
22:14Number 89.
22:15A rider who has written 56 BSB races without a podium.
22:21Christian, you just know you've got a bit of work on here to defend that third place.
22:24Because Fraser will not be leaving here without a good bike.
22:28Yeah, Christian Hiddin not shy and very brave.
22:31But you would think that it would be Fraser.
22:33We've got a ball of that.
22:34I saw it's McPhee.
22:35I'm sure it's McPhee.
22:37Yeah, he's gone down there.
22:38I could see the Scottish flag on the helmet from a distance.
22:41And unfortunately, that just rounds up what has been a miserable weekend on home soil for John.
22:46Yeah.
22:48Let's see what happened here.
22:48The front end, the brakes, let's have a look.
22:50Yeah, that's quite a lot.
22:53You can tell the speed at which it goes down.
22:55And that was asking quite a lot of that front end.
22:59Skinner, Ray, Eden.
23:01Your top three.
23:03What a booster would be for the AGM.
23:05KM, Kawasaki, Stills Doctee.
23:07Darren Fry for Nigel Snook and for Christian himself.
23:10If they could find themselves on the podium.
23:12But likewise, TAC, Honda and Fraser Rogers.
23:16Yeah, and Max Cook as well.
23:17Very much the sort of prodigy of the team.
23:20You know, he's been with the team quite a long time now.
23:22They love him.
23:23They work with him.
23:23He's a really nice fella.
23:25He's Max.
23:27It's good to see.
23:28Sometimes lacks a little bit of confidence in his own abilities.
23:30But that's why he's such a nice person.
23:33He needs to be less a nice person at times.
23:37Just behind these guys, Storm Stacey.
23:40Struggling more than I thought he would actually.
23:42There he is.
23:42Yeah, I thought from the front row, he'd mentally have a right go at this.
23:47Just not really worked out the way.
23:50But again, Storm's a really safe rider.
23:52You look at him, he just, I don't want to jinx him, but traditionally, he's safe.
23:57He doesn't drop off the bike so much.
23:59And if you just haven't got that feel in these conditions, you feel like you're going to.
24:03You feel like the tiniest mistake could end up in a reasonable crash.
24:07So, you see, he's difficult.
24:09It's not so easy in these conditions if you're not confident.
24:11It's a turnaround there for Leon Haslam as well up in sixth place because he finished 13th yesterday.
24:16He was eighth this morning in the sprint.
24:20I know he's had a couple of hard weekends at Knock Hill in the past, Leon Haslam.
24:25Not a lot in it, but Skinner still quickest on that last lap.
24:30Bradley Ray, though, James is not going to stick his neck out too far here and take a big risk.
24:35When you've built up, when you've won as many races as he has, and you've built up this big championship lead,
24:40you're not going to want to kiss goodbye to 16 points, are you?
24:44Well, even when you've got Shane Byrne telling you every 10 seconds that he's the only one that's ever won nine on the bounce.
24:51Yes, you are.
24:52Take a risk, Brad.
24:53No, you're not.
24:57You're dead, right?
24:58He's not.
24:59I think he's just going to settle down, get into some reasonable lap times.
25:02He knows he can do the times, but if somebody's going to take a risk and want to win a little bit more and risk it a little bit more,
25:09well, probably not going to go with him.
25:12That's Richard Kerr, number five on the Rocket BMW, of course, Michael Amity's team, with Kyle Ryder, who started from the back of the grid.
25:20Yeah, look at you just in front, there, look, with his new helmet on.
25:24Brooks is just behind this group as well, which is unusual because he was fastest in warm-up this morning.
25:28Yeah, loves these conditions.
25:30So, I'm a bit permused about that, unless he's had a moment that we've not seen, perhaps.
25:35Could have got caught up in something.
25:37Something easy to do around, not kill.
25:41Kyle Ryder trying just to get a point.
25:43As we said earlier, they all count towards the end of the season.
25:51Just behind Kyle, you've got Brooks and Scott Swan.
25:56Over the line here, though, and an increasing use advantage of 51.1.
26:01Look at this, then, replay for Brad Rai, who's had a, yeah, warning.
26:09That was a little warning, yeah, he controlled that really well, but it'll just sort of reinforce the fact that he's pushing on.
26:15And Rory, this is really good.
26:17He goes, yep, agreed.
26:19Stacks of laps, as you would imagine, around this circuit at not kill.
26:23Yeah, I mean, Rory lives up the road in Perth and comes here for fun quite a lot.
26:28The circuit love having him, and he can just about do what he wants here, to be honest.
26:33The circuit has always supported Scottish riders in quite a big way, and that's a good thing.
26:38It's the only kind of motorsport place they've got, only short circuit they've got in Scotland, really.
26:44And they look after their men to not kill.
26:47It comes in all sorts of stuff, two-throats, all sorts of old bikes to Rory.
26:50He's in a run at the moment of four podiums in the last six races, and remember, one of the races he wasn't on the podium,
26:56there was a mechanical where he could have been on it, so, yes, a fantastic run for him.
26:59This is the fight for the final podium place, though.
27:04You're looking there at Fraser Rogers and Max Cooke with Christian Hiddard just up ahead of them.
27:08Max Cooke, have a little bit of think about that down at McIntosh, isn't it?
27:12He certainly did.
27:15That nine of 16.
27:17It's a three-time, oh, yeah, here we go.
27:21Here comes Max Cooke does move up into fourth, and this will be interesting.
27:25It's now Hiddard and Max Cooke third and fourth.
27:28Hiddard and Max best of age.
27:30It's like almost a father and son team.
27:32They've got training together.
27:33And then, whoa, he can.
27:37That was cheeky, but it was cheeky, but you've got, yeah, exactly.
27:42You've got to get that in these conditions.
27:44Over the line we go, then, to start another one out front.
27:47The gap is 1.6.
27:49Bradley Ray has said, Rory, you've got this one.
27:51I don't know why three-time knock-kill winner Danny Buccaneers just lumped the box of sweets in between us in the commentary box here, just to keep us energised.
27:59Yeah, that's it.
28:00Yeah, keep the sugar going in.
28:03Storm Stacey now, then, number 79 in sixth, ahead of Leon Haslam.
28:08Haslam closing in.
28:09I think getting passed by Cooke has actually gied Fraser Rodgers up a little bit, because this is a quick lap from him.
28:16He's catching, he's catching Christian.
28:19He knows that he's got trouble if he doesn't.
28:21He doesn't.
28:22Yeah.
28:22He's, and this circuit and these conditions is such that you've got to pass or be passed.
28:27That's what it's like when you're in a group.
28:29Fraser also, James, is one of those riders who you just know, if he won't want to go home, and he's got a long way home, by the way.
28:35He won't want to go home without at least having to go to this podium.
28:39Yes.
28:39And here it comes right now.
28:41He's going for it.
28:42No, not quite close enough.
28:43And Fraser is unlikely to get as near as this, with all due respect, he's unlikely to get as near as this to a podium very often.
28:51And he's up the inside, into McIntyre's on the tag Honda.
28:53Christian Hiddin, though.
28:55Oh, retaliated immediately, and that was brave.
28:58It was brave, but did you see he just took that dry air line and shoved Fraser out onto the wetter of the track.
29:05Just behind this trio of riders.
29:07Storm Stacey was quick on that last lap on Batham's AGM, BMW.
29:13Yeah, 1.9 seconds now.
29:15The gap between Skinner and Ray is lapping consistently quicker than your championship leader.
29:21Oh, Fraser Rogers holds that tight line, and the two Kawasaki's almost touched as well.
29:26Can you not just tell there's a podium on offer here?
29:29Yeah, of course you can.
29:31Storm Stacey's loving it.
29:32He's just an inch in close, so every single time these guys engage.
29:36Yeah, he's settled, hasn't he?
29:38Let's have a look at this then.
29:39From the overhead.
29:42Christian ran a bit wide.
29:43Fraser went on the inside.
29:44That was just an opportunist kind of lunge from Cook.
29:50The two FS3 riders kiss knees as Storm Stacey gets closer again, not for 79.
29:58This is your fight for the podium, by the way, out front.
30:00Skinner now, two and a half seconds up on Bradley Ray.
30:03Yeah, the only man quicker, last lap round than Storm Stacey was your leader, Skinner.
30:0851.5 for Storm.
30:10That's a quick lap.
30:11Max Cook up the inside of Christian Hiddin.
30:16That wasn't in the script, Christian.
30:18They're inside of them, having a few elbows there as well.
30:21They get along very well.
30:22Hiddin and Max Cook, so there'll be a few smiles underneath the visors there.
30:26Yes, they will.
30:28Chopping it down now into Turn 1 on lap 13 of 16, remember.
30:33Not long to go.
30:34Fraser Rogers, in line here for his first ever BSB podium.
30:41Yeah.
30:42Like I said, there's no way he's going to get as near as he's often.
30:46That's Scott Swan.
30:47And he's gone down.
30:48So yellow flag there, no overtaking.
30:50Northern Irishman just being helped away.
30:52Yep, the Send My Bag Honda been lifted out of the gravel.
30:56No easy task.
30:56Richard Kerr is also retired, we understand.
31:03Storm's face is getting a bit out of shape.
31:05Meanwhile, out front, Roar's going to number 11, Cheshire Moulding to Kandy.
31:08With a handsome lead, managing this one well.
31:11Second for Bradley Ray, the championship leader.
31:13Fraser Rogers then, and the Tag Honda team.
31:15There will be some celebrations if things stay the way they do now.
31:19Tag Honda have waited a while.
31:21So, yeah, and the Tag team, they ran Yamaha for a long time.
31:25They've been in this championship a long time and supported it always.
31:28So, you can't knock that.
31:30This is brilliant.
31:30However the conditions are to kind of, you know, make it happen.
31:34And with it, the Winfield clan have got their fingers crossed there.
31:38And they've talked to the picture.
31:41Poised, ready to celebrate that there's a way to go yet.
31:43We're on lap 14 of 16.
31:45A storm, Stacey then goes through on Max Cook and moves up into fifth place.
31:49Come on, Max.
31:52And Storm, no favourites here.
31:55Max is going to have another go as Storm up the inside.
31:58Yes, he stopped.
32:00Meanwhile, the Jaws music for Fraser Rogers.
32:03This will feel like the longest lap and a bit of your kill he's ever had.
32:06Yeah, look at this.
32:08Christian in definite walk, walk up by the fact that his teammate passed him.
32:11He wouldn't like that.
32:13Storm's back through on Max Cook.
32:15Is he didn't going to have a look into McIntyre's?
32:16He's not close enough.
32:19Max had a little look down at McIntyre's as well.
32:25Fraser Rogers, who had to sit out from action for a year or two,
32:29trying to find his way back into British Championship.
32:33Yeah, broke both his legs and still tried to ride.
32:35He's a brave lad.
32:36Rory Skinner, he's got one corner and one lap left to pick up his first win of 2025.
32:43Bradley Ray would increase his championship lead, but who will join them on the podium.
32:48That one between Stacey and Cook will rumble all the way to the line.
32:52I think so.
32:52Fraser Rogers, what can he do?
32:54Can he hold off the experience?
32:56Christian in a race winner at Knock Hill in the wet here.
32:59He's got 1.27 miles to try and make it for his first ever BSB podium through turn one.
33:05This is the first overtaking opportunity into McIntyre's.
33:09He did not close enough.
33:10Now, he's gone for Christian, that one.
33:13Next opportunity now is getting a good run through the chicane and around Clark's
33:17and then attempt to move into the hairpin.
33:19Yeah, I know he's close enough for class.
33:21I know it's out of the moment as well.
33:23Fraser Rogers then.
33:24It's all in the palm of his hands.
33:26In the meantime, out front, Rory Skinner.
33:28What a job he's done.
33:29What a job he's doing.
33:31The Cheshire Mouldings Ducati rider.
33:33He's in full flow at the moment.
33:34Home is where the heart is.
33:37Rory Skinner wins here and Knock Hill ahead of Bradley Ray.
33:42Who's going to take the final podium spot?
33:45It looks like Tac Honda are going to have their moment.
33:47And so will Fraser Rogers.
33:48He's on a BSB podium.
33:50Brilliant.
33:50Fraser takes third ahead of Christian Hiddin with Stacey in fifth.
33:55Wow, there'll be some celebrations in the Tac Honda camp at the moment.
33:59Yes, there you go.
34:01So pleased for him.
34:04Absolutely tremendous.
34:06There you can see the team celebrating.
34:08It's been a long wait for them.
34:10You know, the team deserve it and Fraser deserves it.
34:14You've got to, look, conditions kind of made that happen or helped that happen.
34:18But you still don't ride your bike.
34:20Easier to fall off than in his position than do what he did.
34:24So well done.
34:26Rory Skinner.
34:27Well, what a run this is.
34:29Yeah.
34:29Bradley Ray.
34:31He could shake his record, but he doesn't better it.
34:33He won't mind that too much.
34:34He's extended his championship league.
34:36There will be tears from this man.
34:38Yeah, the Fraser Rogers.
34:40He's been, his airbags got off from celebrations.
34:44Yeah.
34:44Taking the, uh, yeah, taking the chest protector out to give himself a little bit more room.
34:49Once it, once the airbags are off until it deflates after a couple of minutes, you can't breathe.
34:54He's that tight.
34:56I've got to say, it's quite emotional seeing this because we all know how much Fraser's been through.
35:00Oh, he's got so much talent and Ian Newton took a punt on him to bring him back into the championship a few years ago.
35:08Tag Honda then said, look, come on, let's see what you've got.
35:11And he's been trying and then he broke his legs in a bad way.
35:14He was racing at the back end of last year with broken legs.
35:17He shouldn't have been out there.
35:18I don't know why he was doing that, but, but yeah, brave lad.
35:22And Rory Skinner as well, who's been through a bit of adversity.
35:27Will be loving this.
35:30Both he and Storm Stacey, putting on a show here to the fans who stuck by the racing here today, despite the weather.
35:40Yeah, and that's been worth it for them.
35:42It really has.
35:43They've seen their man take glory.
35:46Dare I say, based on the last couple of rounds, kind of made himself the new contender to Brad Ray in the championship.
35:54Yeah, this wasn't just a wet weather thing, was it?
35:57No.
35:57Brad Ray there, P2, but it's still win there.
36:01Look how happy Steve Plater is.
36:03Skidder into putt fur, mate.
36:05Brilliant job, and the, the, the, the, yeah, the happiest man is definitely, Fraser Rodgers.
36:22Do you know what, he deserves that as well.
36:23He won for it.
36:24Get him, absolutely.
36:24Two red flags and he has to go through that.
36:27To go, you have to do it three times, yeah.
36:28Philippe from Rory there.
36:30Look at him.
36:31Look at him.
36:35There's his mum, Sarah, who's been through it all with him.
36:40He came through, of course, fab racing and minibikes.
36:43He was the previous Super Team Champion in 2008.
36:46And you can vote now for your rider of the round.
36:49There's your QR code.
36:51Might be a tricky one after that race.
36:52Absolutely.
36:53Yep.
36:54These are the scenes that you love.
36:56All of the hard work finally pays off.
37:00Yeah, Fraser very much tipped to be a Grand Prix host in his youth.
37:03Came through with Scott Redding and others that were our brightest hopes as teenagers.
37:12Well, we'll hear from them shortly.
37:14Let's get results in standings in for you for the time being.
37:16Rory Skinner then wins this first race of 2025.
37:20And based on what we've seen in the last couple of rounds, probably not the last.
37:23Brad Ray, second.
37:25His winning run ends here.
37:27Fraser Rodgers then his first ever BSB podium in the 57th time of asking.
37:31Ahead of Christian Iden.
37:32Good job for Iden there.
37:33And his teammate Cook.
37:34They were sandwiched between them.
37:36Stacey, Leon Haslam 7th, Andy Irwin 8th, then Redding and Nesbitt.
37:42There were points also on offer for Kyle Ryde.
37:45How important will they be at the end of the season for the back of the grid?
37:4711th for him, ahead of Danny Kent and Tommy Bridewell.
37:50Lee Jackson was 14th.
37:51The final point went to Luke Hedger, who got over the line ahead of Brooks.
37:56In the championship then, heading home to Brands Hatch.
37:59Brad Ray in a commanding position.
38:02Despite finishing second there.
38:0452 up on Kyle Ryde.
38:06But look who's moved up to third overall in the standings.
38:08Joint on points with Leon Haslam.
38:10Brilliant weekend for Rory Skinner.
38:12He's third ahead of Haslam.
38:13Bridewell 5th.
38:14Then Brooks, Kent, Irwin.
38:16Storm Stacey and Christian Iden.
38:18And...
38:19and...
38:21and...
38:24and...
38:25and...
38:29and...
