00:00I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy.
00:04Ah, 4th of July!
00:07Yes, it's an independent saying once again.
00:10And you know, nothing's more American than hot dogs.
00:13Take me out for some hot dogs.
00:17Back in Chicago, in the Wicker Park neighborhood.
00:20Look at this, Wicker Park.
00:22You know, it kind of looks like a, like, new area here.
00:25A lot of new buildings, a lot of new places.
00:27And there's Vinnie Deeds, they have Vinnie Deeds.
00:30You know, they're kind of only open in the summertime, seasonal.
00:33They have Italian ice, shaved ice, and they have hot dogs.
00:37Not only that, they have rippers.
00:41I mean, I came to Chicago and I haven't married a ripper.
00:45It's a little taste of Jersey, maybe.
00:47Well, I'm going to see how close they are to getting to Jersey ripper taste, right?
00:51Because, you know, rippers is what Rutz Hutts is known for.
00:55I mean, that's New Jersey.
00:58A taste of Jersey and Chicago.
01:00Let's see if Vinnie Deeds measures up as they go raw dogging Chicago.
01:05Cline from Chicago, the
01:08initiatives are perfect.
01:10For hot chocolate, spicy, spicy and spicy and spicy wait parties.
01:12So it's a beautiful spicy beer, and one of the highly relaxingakh tattooor is perfect.
01:15For hot chocolate, the hot chocolate, is almost perfect.
01:17Welcome to Texas.
01:18Okay, everyone have lunch here for our dinner today.
01:20Let's see if it's at home.
01:22Bye, everyone.
01:35You don't have a chili dog, but you know what, I'll try one of their Chicago dogs and a Jersey
01:43style dog.
01:44I mean, let's see how this place is going, they've been open for 8 years, and well, it's
01:51a nice looking place here.
01:53And bundle dog ratio is very good.
01:57Nice coloring on the hot dog, this is the regular Chicago style hot dog, of course it's
02:01got the poppy seed bun, true to Chicago, Vienna being true to Chicago, well, let's see how
02:08this tastes.
02:12Nice snap.
02:17That hot dog is a triple.
02:20Alright, well, here's the next hot dog, now, they call it a ripper, and you know what a ripper
02:30is, it's Rut's Hut, it's Jersey, and I love the deep fried hot dogs, it's how I usually
02:38make hot dogs when I'm home, because it's Jersey, this is New Jersey style hot dog, it tastes
02:43of Jersey here in Chicago.
02:46Let's see how they're able to replicate it, of course with Vienna beef.
02:51Coloring is great, coloring is great, didn't quite pop like the Rut's Hut does, but let's
02:56see how this tastes.
03:03Oh, raise the apple, that's a home run, a taste of Jersey in Chicago, but they also have fries,
03:16and look at that, love the color here in this fried.
03:23I'm going to give these fries an 8.9, the fries are terrific.
03:39You know, Chicago is known for their beefs, but they got this nice beef here, let's see
03:46how this tastes.
03:54They're really tender, they use their own Jorgeneers.
04:01I'm going to give the beef an 8.2.
04:09Alright, you know, 4th of July, I'm going to treat myself to a nice lemon ice.
04:13You know, you can keep your ice cream.
04:15I want lemon ice.
04:16And you know, in New Jersey, sadly, a lot of the old school lemon ice places have been replaced
04:23by Rita's.
04:24I don't want Rita's, Rita's sucks.
04:26But this place, this is what lemon ice should look like.
04:29Look at the consistency, look at the taste.
04:35You can taste the lemon.
04:37This is a genuine Italian ice.
04:39Perfect.
04:428.6.
04:45I mean, this place is great.
04:47It's like a little bit of Jersey in Chicago.
04:55Ah, you know, hot dogs make me pee dry.
05:00And, you know, if it's the 4th of July, and you're home, or on the road, a hot dog always
05:10satisfies.
05:11That's what America's about.
05:13Happy 4th of July.
05:14Happy Independence Day.
05:15249 years.
05:16Next year's a big one.
05:18The big 250 next year.
05:20Yes, in that sweaty haul, Philadelphia, 1776.
05:27This place is truly Americana.
05:33Awesome hot dogs.
05:35And if you know another place that's just as good, let me know.
05:39Email me.
05:40And have a great work.
05:42So, email me.
05:44Let me know.
05:45Where should I go next?
05:46I'll see you down the road.
05:48And God bless USA, and God bless hot dogs.
05:52Keep broad-dogging.
05:57Take me out for some hot dogs.
06:01Get me one that's only plain.
06:04No mustard or ketchup.
06:07I'll know what the dog is really about.
06:10And it's hope that this is a good one.
06:14Maybe a home run or a double.
06:17But if it sucks, it will be a strikeout and not worthy of my taste buds.
06:23I'll see you later.
06:24I'll see you later.
06:25Bye.
