00:12And we are raw-dogging
00:14Donald's Famous Hot Dogs.
00:17It's cold.
00:20Look at that.
00:22Look at that front.
00:24Well, we're here at Donald's Famous Hot Dogs.
00:27Now, there's three locations at Donald's,
00:30but here we are on the corner of 23rd and Western Avenue.
00:37So, we're going to give this a try
00:39and see how these hot dogs are,
00:40see if they are worthy of the tank.
00:42Let's go.
00:57Well, Donald's Famous Hot Dogs has been here for 34 years,
01:17and they are also in the Hot Dog Hall of Fame.
01:20I mean, there's many people in the Hot Dog Hall of Fame.
01:22This is the NBA Hall of Fame.
01:25And it seems all political, too.
01:28Well, let's see if this is Hall of Fame worthy.
01:32Surprisingly, no poppy seed bun,
01:34regular bun, but the bun is steamed.
01:36Feels good. Bun-to-dog ratio is good.
01:39Good-looking dog, good-looking color.
01:41Let's give a try.
01:56Single right up the middle.
02:00Now, let's see this chili with cheese sauce, chili and cheese.
02:06This chili has beans in it.
02:25Mmm.
02:33Chili with beans, it tastes like cornmeal.
02:39It doesn't taste like there's much effort done to the chili.
02:42It's sloppy. It's not well-contained.
02:46This is a strikeout.
02:52Now, let's give these fries a try.
03:046.4. Ordinary, not well-cooked, not well-cooked.
03:09Kind of just sit here and lie there.
03:13Hey, Jinks, how is your chili?
03:22I like it.
03:24Any rating?
03:26Yes.
03:27It is a pop fly to left field that is tough to run down.
03:33The guy dives for it in the glove for about half a second,
03:40drops it, actually gets a second base.
03:43Double on an error.
03:45Actually, that would just be an error.
03:49Oh, fuck me.
03:51You know, fame is fleeting.
03:53And so are good hot dogs.
03:55This place, pretty mediocre.
03:58But, you know, I know there are much better places out there.
