00:00Vincimas continues to be celebrated in San Vincenzo, Santa Granadina, as the carnival
00:19can reach its final stages with the best celebrations and activities going on
00:22in this Thursday, Friday and over the weekend. Let's go with our special
00:26Envoy Belén de los Santos to have all the details of this carnival season in the country.
00:35Hello Luis, exactly. We continue here in San Vincenzo and the Granadine. As you were saying,
00:44we are hitting the top days of Vincimas. We are in full preparations. Everyone is ready and set
00:52because, as we were saying earlier today, the main events are starting. Of course,
00:57this has been going on for the past week, but today is one of the events that everyone has
01:04been waiting for, both in its year and also adult positions. The Still and Theater, where the music
01:11meets the style and the masquerades, the festivals, meets the stills and precautions. So, we will be
01:18looking forward to that. And actually, yesterday, we were touring things down as the band camps, the
01:26mass bands were getting ready and setting everything, preparing the costumes, preparing the performances
01:33and final rehearsals. And we actually got to some of the artists, some very renowned artists here in
01:41San Vincenzo and the Granadines. Because we were saying caliptico, for example, is one of the most
01:47important traditional rhythms. It speaks to the relevance of the culture. And it's a rhythm that takes an important
02:01cultural device. So, we were speaking to Santhu Sandy Adam,
02:07and also the first time performer that will be performing once again this weekend. And this is what we expect.
02:17In general, St. Vincent is the hottest carnival in the Caribbean. And so, you expect nothing but
02:23non-stop partying and vibes and fun and excitement. And there will be major competition like Soka Munah
02:31competition, Calypso competition, Queens of the Band, Panorama. So, this weekend is going to be just a
02:38competition weekend. Even the masqueraders on Tuesday will be displaying their costume, but they will be
02:44judged on that day as well. So, it's all going down from, I think, from Friday on to Wednesday when it
02:51finished. It's strictly competition throughout that time.
03:01The importance of identity is one of the main topics that these artists are highlighting in their
03:12performances. And this was one of the things other band camps were selecting the idols, the important
03:20figures, to pay tribute to them in this carnival. This is all in preparation for what is starting. Today,
03:28the main events are becoming and are starting. And we will be following them closely. So, stay tuned
03:35and tell us your English briefs. I go back to you now.
03:41Thank you, Belen, for the latest information coming from St. Vincent and the Grandinans. We're
03:44going to stay tuned for upcoming news briefs to have more details of what is happening.
