00:00Well, Greg, next let's head over to the Boston Red Sox.

00:04As Curtis mentioned earlier, Craig Breslow constantly on Nessun.

00:08He wants to really set the record straight when it comes to the deadline.

00:12I think this is now the third time he's talked about this subject,

00:15the first time being on our show and now twice on Nessun.

00:18Here was Craig Breslow talking about the Red Sox approach

00:21to the upcoming trade deadline.

00:23I think all those tools, whether you look at ours,

00:25the things that are publicly available,

00:27they're telling us we need to win more games.

00:29And fortunately, there's a lot of games left between now and the deadline.

00:33But we came into this season with a very aggressive mindset,

00:35and we believe that we were putting together a team

00:38that was capable of making the postseason.

00:40We still believe that's the case.

00:41And so our heads right now are trying to figure out

00:44how we can improve this team and how we add in places

00:48to bolster the roster so that we can make that deep playoff run

00:51that we had anticipated.

00:53Okay, you said add this.

00:55I hate the word improve.

00:56Like, there's something fishy in Denmark when he keeps saying the word improve, Curtis.

01:04How about you just do it?

01:06Instead of joining every show in Boston the last week.

01:09Like, I find this to be so counterintuitive to what they've told us.

01:15Like, they've said all along, they have a plan,

01:17and they haven't shifted organizational philosophy, all this stuff.

01:21Craig Breslow can say nothing between now and October,

01:24and if they win the division and make big deadline deals,

01:27nobody's going to ask him to do more interviews.

01:29He's been on how many different interviews?

01:31He did the Bradfoe show.

01:33He did Section 10.

01:34He did our show.

01:35He's done five Nesson shows.

01:37Is this just because there must be ticket issues?

01:41That's the only thing I could come up with.

01:42Well, by him doing this, what this means is now you are putting yourself out there on French Street.

01:47But he's not telling you that he's going to go out and aggressively buy.

01:53He's saying they're going to go out there and they're going to be buyers.

01:56I asked him the question straight up.

01:58Yep.

01:59Are you buyers or sellers?

02:01And he said, we're always looking to improve the team.

02:05Well, he said, no, we're going to improve the team for 2025.

02:07In my mind, that's, we're buyers.

02:09He didn't say it.

02:10Yes, you're right.

02:11He didn't come out and say it.

02:12But there's a reason he didn't.

02:14Yeah.

02:14And Curtis, of course, there's ticket issues.
