The contestants in this Bonfire Night episode are Peter Restarick & Lisa Seabright from Essex, John Hocking & Sian Watling from Cheshire & Suffolk, Enid & Rhys Wedlock from Lancashire, and Tricia & Steven King from Norfolk & Cambridgeshire. Bruce Forsyth hosts and has to defend assistant Rosemary Ford from accusations that someone wrote in about her "rough manner" with the contestants (yes, genuinely). The contestants have a array of stories, from a long story by one of a mishap in a Tunisian hotel, while another ended up with her blushes on show when she tried to prank a practical joker and one tells of the unlikely but true name of a former boyfriend. There is also one contestant who says he does impressions - believe me, he doesn't Among the games played are "Pack a Shute" (packing parachutes), "Autumn Cards" (with leaves), "Puppy Love" (guess the breed) and "Bouncy Bouncy" (no, trampolining - behave!). The final two then have to face off in a Ford & Forsyth dance off which has been used before, but which I forgot until the twist for the contestants. If you've forgotten I won't spoil it for you. All in all, good fun.

(Note: Because of my erratic internet I have only been able to post this today. This came from last Saturday's Challenge TV broadcast and as you may of noticed it says Episode 9 and not Episode 8. As with last week Challenge TV decided to skip an episode, but this time I have no idea why they have done so as the only celebrity that appears in episode 8 is Bernard Cribbins and he's not on the banned list as far as I know. So sadly at the moment I don't have this episode, but if it ever appears online or if I come across it I will put it up for you. Until then, enjoy this episode).

00:08Life can be terribly pain
00:12If you don't play the game with two
00:15And I wanna play the game with you
00:19Powerful!
00:21Thank you so much!
00:32Well!
00:34Thank you!
00:36Lee!
00:38Lee!
00:39Thank you so much!
00:41Well, good evening ladies, gentlemen and children
00:43Welcome to the Generation Game
00:44Nice to see you, to see you
00:47Nice!
00:48And it's always extra nice to read all your letters
00:51Every week all you caring people out there
00:53Worrying about my health
00:55Now that the winter's here
00:57You wouldn't believe the number of viewers
00:59Who've written in telling me to wrap up
01:05Isn't that nice?
01:06And letters with hints on how I should keep myself fit
01:09Like, on your bike, Brucie
01:11And take a running jump
01:13Oh, and thank you children for all these
01:17Now have a look
01:19Feast your eyes on those
01:20Isn't it marvellous?
01:21And these are so much better than the ones
01:23The contestants did
01:25After Rolf Harris painted me
01:27I mean, see the one with Rosie in her lovely red dress
01:30She looked like a stick of rhubarb that night
01:32They looked really lovely
01:33But here is a real letter
01:35From a Mrs. Grant from Heston
01:37Which I feel
01:39Shouldn't go unanswered
01:40Because I consider it to be an unfair criticism
01:42Of our Rosemary
01:44It says, dear sir
01:46We notice that Rosemary Ford
01:48Pushes and shoves the contestants
01:50The minute they step out
01:52Onto the stage to meet Bruce
01:54She makes sure they're on their spot
01:56But she is so rough
01:58Now, Mrs. Grant
02:00I mean, she even sent a letter to The Sun
02:03Which they printed
02:04Now, look
02:05We've had 400 contestants on this show
02:07Over 400
02:08And not one of them has ever complained of being pushed
02:11Shoved or pulled about
02:13And your letter, Mrs. Grant
02:14Is the only one we've ever had like this
02:16But let's see what she thinks
02:18Ladies and gentlemen
02:19The lovely, the gorgeous
02:21And the gentle
02:22Rosemary Ford
02:23Rosemary Ford
02:33Now, Rosemary, you've heard what the lady has to say in her letter
02:37But what have you got to say?
02:39Well, I'm just sorry if it looks as though I'm sort of, you know, being rough with the contestants
02:43But I promise you I'm not
02:44But I actually do have to be quick
02:46Yes, now you don't pull, push or treat people rough
02:50No, I don't think I could do that
02:52Well, I'm glad we got that sorted out
02:54She couldn't treat people like that because she is a gentle lady
02:57And she
02:58Excuse me, but she's not on your mark
02:59Pardon me, but
03:00In all the years that I've known her
03:03And I've known her since she was a little ways
03:05You get on your mark
03:06I mean, she's always so terribly feminine
03:09A velvet hand
03:10Look, you're doing this deliberately
03:12She wouldn't
03:15She's a Pisces, like me
03:17Would you help me up and introduce the contestants?
03:21Thank you
03:22Thank you
03:23But Mrs Grant, oh dear
03:24She's just a silly, calculated woman
03:27And I've said it now and I don't care
03:32Right, here we are
03:33Well, thank you
03:34Here we are, it's a shame
03:35Right, our first team's from Essex
03:37Their father and daughter
03:38Peter Resterick and Lisa Sebright
03:40Quite right
03:41Thank you
03:42Thank you
03:43Thank you
03:44Thank you
03:45Thank you
03:46Thank you
03:47Thank you
03:48Thank you
03:49Thank you
03:50Thank you
03:51Well, you are Lisa Sebright
03:53Sebright
03:54That's right
03:55Oh yes, I met your husband just before the show
03:57He sort of came up and helped me
03:59Yes, fine
04:00And you're married to Paul
04:01And what does he do?
04:02We all know
04:03He's a policeman
04:04He's a policeman
04:05Right, warm night
04:06Warm night
04:07What are you doing it for?
04:09Right, now how did the wedding go with your policeman husband?
04:12Well, I was a bit worried actually about mum
04:14Yeah
04:15I thought she was going to get a bit emotional about the whole thing
04:16Well they do, don't they?
04:17She does
04:18Yeah, they do
04:19And so when I got dressed I came down the stairs at home
04:21And I looked at mum and mum looked at me and smiled proudly
04:23Yes
04:24And dad cried
04:25Oh, did you?
04:26So we went to the church and we were walking down the aisle
04:28And mum turned around and smiled at me proudly
04:30Yeah
04:31And dad cried
04:32We got to the reception, he said his speech and mum smiled and he cried
04:37That's lovely, but it's a wonder all dads there are
04:41It's a wonder all dads don't cry, let's face, we pay for everything
04:46Shortly after the wedding you had a fire in the kitchen, what happened?
04:49That's right, our washing machine blew up
04:51Yes
04:52And as soon as I saw all the smoke coming out of the kitchen
04:54I ran into the kitchen, I closed all the windows and all the doors like they say you're supposed to
04:57Yeah
04:58And I shouted up, quick phone the fire brigade and he said, how do I do that?
05:01It's not bad for a policeman is it?
05:05Oh, no
05:06Well I'll make a note of that
05:08Not
05:09Not
05:10Much
05:11Cop
05:14Right, now over to your dad, Peter
05:16Restrick
05:17I beg your pardon?
05:18Restrick
05:19Restrick, you've only just got it
05:20Right, what do you do?
05:21I work for Post Office Counters, Head of Distribution
05:24Head of Distribution, Post Office
05:27Counters
05:28Yes, I've heard about you
05:29Hold on
05:30Now you'll have to wait till I'm ready
05:38Have a bit of sweeping
05:39I'll finish my book
05:48Read for about four hours
05:53Just a bit, I'll move it back a bit here
05:57Now then you're married to Linda
05:59Linda
06:00Yeah, for 22 years
06:01Yeah
06:02I see
06:03And you went on a holiday once to Tunisia
06:05Yes
06:06What happened?
06:07We reached the Sahara
06:08And there was a luxurious hotel
06:10In the middle of the Sahara
06:11Surrounded by Arabs
06:12By their fire
06:13By their campsites
06:14Surrounded by their camels
06:15Bless you
06:16Did you hear that?
06:17Right, go on
06:18And we went into the hotel
06:20And just before we left the room
06:22I tried to flush the loo and it wouldn't work
06:24Yes
06:25So, tried again, it wouldn't work
06:26And on the wall there was a hose
06:27Like do stuff for cleaning the loos, etc
06:29Yeah
06:30Tried that
06:31And that wouldn't work either
06:32And I fumbled with the taps
06:33Anyway, we gave up
06:34Went down, reported it at a reception
06:35Yeah
06:36And we went in to have our dinner
06:39Went down to our dinner
06:40Sat down to have our dinner
06:41And the rep came in and said
06:42You've got a problem with your water
06:43Just a minute, is this a long story?
06:45It's time for my tea break
06:56Thank you, Simon
06:58No digesters
07:00They are cutting down
07:07Right, thank you Simon
07:08Now then, where were we?
07:10Yeah, yeah, carry on
07:11So we were going up
07:12There's a broad marble staircase
07:14And as we were going up
07:15I remarked my wife
07:16How silly it was to wash the floor
07:17For the night time
07:18Anyway, the further we've gone up the stairs
07:20And down the corridor
07:21The wetter it's getting
07:22It's inches deep now
07:23We've got to walk down
07:25I think we all get the picture
07:28So what is
07:29You're in Tunis
07:30And you flooded the hotel
07:31That's what it's coming down to
07:33You flooded the hotel
07:34That's all you need inside
07:37I'll make a note of that
07:38Torrance of Arabia
07:40One of the longest stories we've ever had in
07:44Anyway, thanks for being here
07:45Thank you
07:46Pop over there
07:47Lovely people
07:48Nice people
07:53Now then
07:55Now then my love
07:56Who have we got now?
07:57Well our second teams
07:58From Cheshire and Suffolk
08:00Their father and daughter
08:01John Hocking and Sian Watling
08:03Right
08:13You are Sian
08:14What do you do?
08:15I'm a beauty therapy lecturer
08:16Oh, I thought so
08:17It's written all over your lovely face
08:19It is really
08:20And you're married to Ivan
08:22Has he got any irritating habits?
08:24He bites his thumbnails
08:25Oh yeah
08:26And he's slow to come round in the morning
08:28He's slow to come round in the morning?
08:30Well he doesn't live in the next street, darling
08:36Now before you got engaged to Ivan
08:38You had a holiday in Spain
08:40That's right
08:41Well tell us about that
08:42I met up with a really nice couple
08:43And the wife asked me to play a practical joke
08:45On the husband
08:46Oh on the husband
08:47He's a practical joker
08:48We're buried in the sand
08:49And she said when he's buried
08:50We'll whip his trunks off
08:51And throw them away
08:52So he's left on the beach
08:53No
08:54So we did it
08:55And she said right, watch your back
08:56Because he'll get you back
08:57Oh I see
08:58Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
08:59He came along and said
09:00Oh we're off now
09:01We're on an early flight
09:02Took hold of my bikini top
09:04My bikini bottom strings
09:05No, he didn't
09:06Pulled them
09:07And it fell off
09:08And I was left stark as on the beach
09:09On the beach at all
09:10On the beach at all
09:11Why don't you lay on your back
09:12And just make out you were too sandcastle
09:14I'll see
09:15I'll see
09:16I mean
09:17Did you get the picture
09:18Right
09:19Anyway

09:29Oh I know her sister
09:30Ultra
09:31No
09:32Turn on
09:34Right
09:35And how did you meet her?
09:37I met her in the naffy
09:38She was a cook in the naffy
09:39Oh lovely
09:40In the naffy
09:41And she
09:42Oh well
09:43Cook
09:44What?

09:49Oh no you can't beat it
09:50You can beat your stomach if you want to
09:52And is that right
09:53You
09:54When you first got married to her
09:55You used to brush her hair
09:57Oh yes
09:58Marvellous long hair
09:59Oh sure
10:00You're like me
10:01I love long hair
10:02100 times a night
10:03And she used to brush it 100 times a night
10:04Yes

11:06Please welcome back from Bryce Norton,
11:20after helping us with our compilation programme,
11:23two of the RAF Falcons.
11:33You have completed a poetry role.
11:35First thing you must do is unclip one side of the reserve,
11:37grasp the rigging lines, pull the rigging lines in,
11:40until the parachute is underneath your chest.
11:42Roll over onto your back, unlock the QRF,
11:45get out of the harness, drag the parachute in a straight line,
11:48and then wrap it up as quick as you can.
11:51Try and keep it nice and tight, arms wide,
11:54wrap it up in a figure of eight action,
11:56picking up all the material of the parachute,
11:58all the way down the rigging lines, pick up all the rigging lines,
12:01until you get down to the parachute harness,
12:03pull out the apex of the parachute, kneel on it,
12:06take the reserve off the harness, and pull out your green bag.
12:09Clip one of the handles of the green bag onto your reserve parachute,
12:12and stuff the parachute harness inside the green bag.
12:16Once you've got the harness inside the green bag,
12:19the rigging lines go on top of the harness, the parachute goes on top of that,
12:23and the last thing in is the apex, that's the top of the parachute.
12:27Once you've completed that, you fasten on the reserve to the remaining handle of the green bag.
12:32When you hear that sound, the finishing position is with the green bag on your back,
12:38the reserve on the front with the red handle uppermost.
12:40There you are.
12:41Our thanks to Sergeant Ken Peers for the demonstration,
12:48and Sergeant Colin Fallows for giving the commands.
12:52Our thanks, gentlemen.
12:53And that's all in this kit.
12:55Come on, aren't you glad you came?
12:58They can't wait to get over here.
13:00That's it.
13:01Fine.
13:02That's it.
13:03In you go with it.
13:04Now, four of the other RAF Falcons will be helping our contestants with their harnesses.
13:08They are Flight Sergeant Rex Pritchard, Flight Lieutenant Anastair Hunt,
13:15Sergeant Andy Wright, and right on the end there, Sergeant Tony Isherby.
13:21Are we ready now?
13:23So lay down on the floor straight away.
13:25Just lie down there.
13:27Get nice and comfortable there.
13:29Now then, you've got about a minute and a half to pack your parachute, starting from now.
13:41Very good.
13:42That was quick.
13:55Oh, shoot.
13:56You're supposed to take that off, dear, down here.
14:08You've got to get it off first, and then you go up there.
14:11Well, you didn't watch them at all, did you?
14:13That's it.
14:14You're going...
14:15Good.
14:16Well done.
14:17Well done here.
14:18And start packing away in your bag.
14:20Find your bag.
14:21Look at that poor soul there.
14:22Look.
14:26Think spaghetti, dear.
14:27Think spaghetti, or hula hoops.
14:30That's it.
14:31As much as you can in the bag.
14:33And don't forget, when you hear the sound, you stop.
14:36As much as you can.
14:37As much as you can.
14:38Right.
14:39Whoa.
14:40Wherever you're up to, stop.
14:41Now then, put your pack on.
14:43Put your pack on.
14:44That's it.
14:45Good.
14:46Well done.
14:47That's it.
14:48Fine.
14:49Fine.
14:50Okay.
14:52And now, to judge this, another RAF Falcon, their team leader, Flight Lieutenant Steve Darling.
15:02Now, tell me, darling.
15:03I've been dying to do that all day.
15:04Blackadder returns, isn't it?
15:05That's the first time that stuff happens in a country.
15:06No, but...
15:07Oh, you're joking.
15:08No, no, no.
15:09Tell me, dear.
15:10And Steve.
15:11Tell me, Steve, you know, do give our love to everybody at Brian's Norton, because you
15:26did a couple of wonderful days there.
15:28Brian, the CEO.
15:29Is Brian still there?
15:30I...
15:31I know him as Sir.
15:32Oh, he's Sir.
15:33Well, he's Brian to me.
15:34He always is Brian to me.
15:35Anyway, will you come over and do some marking there?
15:37With pleasure.
15:38Lovely, lovely.
15:39But do give everybody our very, very kindness.
15:41Now, there we are.
15:42First of all, what do you think of Peter?
15:44It started very well.
15:45He was very quick out of the harness.
15:46He was.
15:47And you stowed the parachute with the bag quite well.
15:50And apart from not clipping the reserve on and pulling the red handle, which, if that
15:54had been a real reserve, the parachute would have been out over the stage.
15:56Oh, really?
15:57And I think eight points for Peter.
15:59Very good indeed, Peter.
16:00Well done.
16:01Well, she got in a terrible state as you saw, to start with.
16:07Didn't take anything off, did she?
16:09But Lisa was the slowest to get out of the harness.
16:14But you ran out the parachute quite well and wound it up into quite a tight coil.
16:18So, six points.
16:19Six points.
16:20Well done, Lisa, my darling.
16:22There she was.
16:23Let me take this.
16:24She got in a terrible state before you even started.
16:28That's it.
16:29Fine.
16:30Yes.
16:31What is this, love?
16:32You showed the pad.
16:33It slipped.
16:34Oh, you showed it.
16:35Oh, thank you.
16:36I thought it was something else.
16:37I thought it was.
16:38I mean, that could have been very nasty, couldn't it?
16:40All right, darling.
16:41Yes.
16:42That wasn't a bad effort at all.
16:44You started very well.
16:45You got it into the bag, although it started falling out when you tried to lift it onto
16:49your back.
16:50So, I think seven points for Sean.
16:51Seven points.
16:52Well done, Sean.
16:53I think it's sloppy this year, but what did you think?
16:57Right.
16:58John started very well.
16:59He was the fastest out of the harness.
17:02Didn't put the harness into the green bag first, which was mentioned in the demonstration.
17:06Yeah.
17:07So, I think seven points as well.
17:09Seven points as well.
17:10Well done indeed.
17:11And, Steve, thank you for giving us a game, but thank you for going for that wonderful
17:16time we had with you.
17:18It was a pleasure.
17:19Before we go, we would like to give you a small memento of your visit to Bryce Norton.
17:24Oh.
17:25It's a picture taken at about 2,000 feet.
17:27Oh, that was marvellous.
17:28And it's of us jumping with the Generation Game flag.
17:31Oh, yeah.
17:32That's very lovely.
17:34And the boys all said afterwards what an easy jump it was because, you know, they
17:42used my chin as the marker.
17:44All right.
17:45So, once again, I'd love to Bryce Norton.
17:48We thank you very much.
17:49Thank you very much, Steve.
17:50Thank you very much, Steve.
17:51Thank you very much, Steve.
17:52Thank you very much, Steve.
17:53Thank you very much, Steve.
17:54And Anna Faulkner.
17:55What's on the board, Miss Ford?
17:58Well, Peter and Lisa have 14, Sian and John also have 14.
18:02Forty after all that effort.
18:04You're still level after all that energy.
18:07Go and sit down and rest yourselves.
18:09Just for a...
18:10It's all right.
18:11So, now then, our second game is called Autumn Cards.
18:17Please welcome Jenny Kenner.
18:18Thank you very much.
18:19Lovely to see you again.
18:20And I hear that you've gathered up lots and lots of Autumn leaves for our game.
18:32Oh, many, yeah.
18:33And children, you're going to love this.
18:35But everybody's going to enjoy the artistic quality.
18:38I hope so.
18:39So, come over here, Jenny.
18:40And will you all come over and get a good look to see exactly what Jenny's up to.
18:45In her own words, she'll explain.
18:46Okay.
18:47There we are.
18:48I'm going to make a greetings card.
18:50And we start off with two leaves, but the surface is sticky.
18:55Yes.
18:56So, once you put the things down, you can't change your mind.
18:59Remember that.
19:00Once you put something on there, it stays there.
19:02Now, I'm going to give her some little eyes.
19:05And we were saying earlier that this is a wonderful game for children.
19:09And also, the materials are free.
19:13You've got some grass.
19:14Yes, exactly.
19:15Everything is free.
19:16That's right.
19:17So, the game doesn't cost anything but some sticky paper.
19:19Yes.
19:20Now, as it's a bon voyage card, she's got some luggage.
19:24Oh, yes.
19:25Little bags there.
19:26Yep.
19:27And the other side, a couple of...
19:29And I'm going to put a little decoration around the edges to make it complete.
19:34Like that.
19:35Now, just a little bit of something for her to stand on.
19:40Oh, yes.
19:41There we are.
19:42Finished.
19:43Very nice.
19:44Very nice indeed.
19:45There we are.
19:46There we are.
19:47Will you come back and do some marketing?
19:49Yes.
19:50Thank you, Jenny, very much.
19:51Get to your tables.
19:52You get to the first one here, my love.
19:54You get to the far one.
19:55Now, Jenny made a bon voyage card.
19:57You can make any greetings card you like.
20:00But you will have to explain your card afterwards.
20:03Okay?
20:04You've got about a minute and a half to make your card, starting from now.
20:10See?
20:11Any kind of card you like.
20:12A get well eventually card.
20:14A happy anniversary card if you're still together.
20:20A glad you're not here card.
20:25Any card you like.
20:27And don't forget, children, all you've got to do is go out, get some leaves, a nice piece of sticky paper, and save your mother a fortune in your Christmas card.
20:39Right?
20:40You've got ten seconds to go.
20:42So, any little refinements?
20:44I must say, you've all done, I think you've all done magnificently.
20:48Okay.
20:49Time out, Bruce.
20:50Time's up.
20:51Time's up.
20:52Time's up.
20:53No, no, we haven't got any further.
20:55Heeeah!
20:56Heeeah!
20:57Heeeah!
20:58Heeeah!
20:59I have to do every damn scene, don't I?
21:03Jenny, could you come back and do some marking, darling?
21:05Oh, yes, of course, of course, it's me forgetting, forgetting, as I do sometimes.
21:17When I was so, I mean, having to do the eeeah, eeeah.
21:20Here we go.
21:21By the way, what is it?
21:22It's a Halloween card.
21:23A Halloween card?
21:24Oh, that's very topical, isn't it?
21:26What part of the Halloween is it?
21:28I mean, it's a witch's head and a witch's body.
21:31Oh, a witch, oh, that's a witch's head, yes.
21:33That's a witch's chin.
21:34That was inspiration.
21:35I see.
21:36I see.
21:37Ah!
21:38Bit hurtful, wasn't it?
21:41Inspired, yes.
21:42Well, I think it's imaginative.
21:43I do.
21:44It is, it is.
21:45If you've got that much imagination, yes.
21:48It is.
21:49So, what do you think?
21:50Well, Peter, I'm going to give you six points.
21:52Six points.
21:53Well done, Peter.
21:54And a good description of what it's all about.
21:56You go down there, my darling, and let's see if we can stand this card up.
22:00Looks like a landscape.
22:01Yes, what is it?
22:02Yes, what is it?
22:03It's a Happy Holidays card.
22:04Oh, a landscape, you said?
22:05A Happy Holidays card?
22:06Yes.
22:07Oh, well.
22:08Now, let me...
22:09Whereabouts is the holiday?
22:10This is Hawaii.
22:11Oh, Hawaii, yes.
22:12Lovely, lovely.
22:13I thought it was Bognor himself.
22:15This is the sea.
22:16This is my husband on his surfboard.
22:18On his surfboard?
22:19Very good, actually, on his surfboard.
22:20This is the shark's fin.
22:21And that's the shark's fin?
22:22Yeah.
22:23Yeah.
22:24Ooh.
22:25Yeah.
22:26Poor old Paul was going to get it, wasn't he?
22:28Well, we'll talk about Jaws, but there you are, you've had it.
22:31Seven points.
22:32Seven points.
22:33Very good indeed.
22:34Very good indeed.
22:36And you are here now.
22:38Here, this is look.
22:39Very good.
22:40Well, it does look.
22:41We'll have to find out what she says it is, but I know what it looks like, and I think
22:45it's very apparent, but what exactly is it?
22:48Well, it's meant to be a postcard from Hawaii.
22:51And she's meant to have a gold stairs on.
22:52Oh, I see.
22:53Yes.
22:54And lotus flower eyes.
22:55Lotus flower, yes.
22:56And she's got dangly earrings at the side.
22:57Yeah, dangly earrings.
22:58Well, I think it's a very good picture.
22:59It is a very good.
23:00I really do.
23:01And a good idea as well.
23:02Yes.
23:03So, I should give you eight points.
23:04Well done.
23:05Well done indeed.
23:06And you'll stay there.
23:07I'll come in here.
23:08Let's open up the card here.
23:10I think a bit of this might come off.
23:11That looks interesting.
23:12No, it won't.
23:13No.
23:14That's lovely.
23:15Because you've got a lot of stuff on, didn't you?
23:16Now, what do we call this?
23:17Tickle to...
23:18Tickle pink to see you card.
23:22The tickle pink to see you card.
23:24Yes.
23:25Hi.
23:26I mean...
23:27It could really swamp the market.
23:28The tears of joy.
23:29Tickle pink...
23:30Yeah, the tears...
23:31Come on, point it out to us.
23:32The tears of joy.
23:33Oh, yes.
23:34And there's a smile at the bottom.
23:35The smile on the bottom.
23:36Yeah, right.
23:37Can't be the better place of a smile.
23:38You could...
23:42He's doing the jokes now.
23:43All right.
23:44Fine.
23:45Welcome to the John Hocking Show.
23:49I'm going to give you seven.
23:50Very good indeed.
23:51Very good indeed.
23:52I wonder you've got coming up for us, Jenny.
23:54What are you going to do?
23:55I'm going in the Lion and the Witch in the Wardrobe, but the Novello Theatre near Ascot.
23:58Near Ascot.
23:59The Novello Theatre.
24:00Have a wonderful season there.
24:02Thank you, Jenny Henna.
24:03Here we are.
24:09Now then, what's on the board?
24:11Miss Forge.
24:12Well, Peter and Lisa have 27.
24:14Sian and John have 29.
24:15Oh, dear, dear, dear.
24:16Well done, you two.
24:17And bad luck, you two.
24:19I'm sorry to lose you, but you do get a Generation Game telephone with our love.
24:25And thank you very much for being with us tonight.
24:28And we'll see you...
24:29And I'll get nothing.
24:30Have you noticed that?
24:31I never get anything.
24:32OK, but we'll see you in our grand final, which is coming up.
24:34Now go around and kiss each other again.
24:35You're not pretty good.
24:36There we are.
24:37Nice people.
24:38That team's from Lancashire.
24:39They're mother and son, Enid and Rhys Wedlock.
24:40Oh!
24:41Oh!
24:42And you are Enid Wedlock.
24:43Yes.
24:44And a silly question, but are you married?
24:46Yes.
24:47And I'm not going to be married.
24:48You're not going to be married.
24:49I'm not going to be married.
24:50I'm not going to be married to anything.
24:51We'll see you in our grand final, which is coming up.
24:52Now go around and kiss each other again.
24:53You're not pretty good.
24:54There we are.
24:55Nice people.
24:56That team's from Lancashire.
24:57They're mother and son, Enid and Rhys Wedlock.
24:58Oh!
25:04There you are.
25:05You are Enid Wedlock.
25:06Wedlock, yes.
25:07A silly question, but are you married?
25:08Now, what do you do, Mrs. Headlock?
25:11Oh, wait a minute. Sorry, sorry.
25:13I'm a teacher.
25:14You're a teacher? Oh, you're also a local preacher.
25:16Certainly am, yes.
25:17Oh, are you? Well, tell us about that.
25:19Not an ordinary one, because I can do minor miracles.
25:22I went to a church once, and there was a power cut,
25:25and the minute I got to the reading where it said,
25:27let there be light, all the lights came on.
25:29No. Well, I'll make a note of that.
25:32Don't mess with her.
25:35Right.
25:36Are you musical at all, idiot?
25:38Not really, but in churches, they're quite desperate
25:40for people to fill in the choir, you see.
25:42Oh, I see, yes, yes.
25:43So I said, well, it'll be all right,
25:45but if it gets to a very high note,
25:47I have to have a very big organ behind me
25:49before I can reach it.
25:58Oh, you're going to lie down.
26:02You've, it's changed the subject,
26:03but you've modelled a, you've modelled a church fashion.
26:07Well, again, they're desperate.
26:08They were very old clothes from very old ladies.
26:11Yes, yes.
26:11Yes, as you can imagine.
26:13You've been married to George for 25 years,
26:16Mrs Padlock.
26:18Any, any boyfriends before him?
26:21Yeah, you think Wedlock's a bad name,
26:22but my first boyfriend was called Lancelot Rasbury.
26:29Lancelot Rasbury?
26:30Oh, don't tell me.
26:32You blew him out.
26:41You're a lover.
26:42You do look marvellous.
26:43What they did to you in, in make-up was genius.
26:45Yeah, that's right.
26:50She's got, well, she's got a lot with me.
26:52Leave her alone, right.
26:53Now, you're, uh,
26:54over to your son, Rhys, Rhys Wedlock.
26:57What do you do?
26:58I'm a student at Essex University,
27:00where I'm doing economics and government.
27:01Oh, yeah?
27:02What does that entail?
27:03Um, it entails alcohol consumption,
27:05very little sleep,
27:07a stapled diet of spaghetti on toast,
27:09and, uh, occasionally a bit of work.
27:11At least you're honest about it, right.
27:13Any ambitions have you got?
27:15Um, yeah, I'd like to be the first Prime Minister
27:17to have a number one hit single.
27:18I don't see why you couldn't.
27:20I mean, John Major's been at number ten for two years.
27:23You do impressions of Michael Caine,
27:25Roger Moore, Sean Connery, and Bruce Forsythe.
27:28All right, away you go.
27:29Go on.
27:29Into camera forward.
27:30Michael Caine's terrible, really.
27:31Camera forward, sorry.
27:33My name is Michael Caine.
27:35I'm, uh...
27:36I'm...
27:36Go on, go on.
27:41Um, Roger Moore.
27:42Yeah?
27:47Very good, very good.
27:48Yeah, go on, carry on.
27:49Sean Connery, that's, um...
27:51I still sound like James Bond.
27:54Is that all right, Nick?
27:57But very good.
27:58But don't give up your day job.
28:00Especially the pub.
28:01Yeah, that meant personally you.
28:02Oh, sorry!
28:05Sorry, not bad, but feel free.
28:06Yes, go on, OK.
28:09Nice to see you.
28:10To see you.
28:11Nice.
28:16Very good.
28:18Very good.
28:20As I said before, don't give up your day job.
28:22Don't worry.
28:23Thank you very much for being here, Rhys.
28:25And Edith, thank you very much indeed.
28:27Over you go there.
28:28Nice to see you.
28:29She's a perfect, nice to see you.
28:32Oh, lovely.
28:33Now, who have we got left, pray tell me?
28:36Well, on four teams from Norfolk and Cambridgeshire,
28:39their aunt and nephew, Trisha and Stephen King.
28:42Right.
28:42Here we go.
28:43And how are you?
28:51Welcome, welcome.
28:52You are?
28:53Trisha.
28:54A big one?
28:54Trisha.
28:55Oh, bless you.
28:56Trisha what?
28:57King.
28:58A king, I see.
28:59Any family motto?
29:00Yes.
29:01Yes.
29:01Once a king, always a king, but once a night is not enough.
29:08I tell you, you've given me a royal flush.
29:11You're married to Paul King.
29:14Did he carry you over the threshold at all?
29:17Well, he did.
29:17He gallantly picked me up on the wedding night,
29:19as all husbands should.
29:21Yeah, of course.
29:21Tripped over the doorstep, and we fell into the kitchen cabinet.
29:26Well, what was he carrying you in the kitchen for her?
29:28Oh, he really fancied a nibble.
29:30Yes.
29:31Yes, I see.
29:32What was it you were saying?
29:33We didn't consummate the marriage that night.
29:36Well, I wasn't going to ask.
29:41As if I'd be so nosy, Molly.
29:46Anyway, over now to your nephew.
29:48Oh, your nephew.
29:49It's our nephew.
29:49That's right, Bruce.
29:50How are you?
29:50Nice to meet you.
29:51Welcome, Stephen Prince, or King, or whatever it is.
29:55Any pets at all?
29:56Yes, I've got a 14-and-a-half-year-old goldfish called Goldie.
30:00Really?
30:00Yes.
30:0114-and-a-half-year-old goldfish.
30:02So he's a golden oldie?
30:04Yes.
30:04Isn't he?
30:04He's an O-A-F, Bruce.
30:06What?
30:06O-A-F.
30:07What's that?
30:07Old-age fish.
30:08Oh, dear.
30:10What are you looking at me for?
30:13Old-age fish.
30:14Now, does he do any tricks on anything?
30:15I mean, do you make a fuss of him, or what?
30:17When it's his birthday, always make him a card.
30:19Yes.
30:19And always sing happy birthday to you to him.
30:22Because he's got loads of character, you see.
30:23And if you stick your finger in the bowl, he comes up and kisses it.
30:26Oh, really?
30:27Yes.
30:27And, yeah.
30:29Make a note of that.
30:31Nutter.
30:31You did have another goldfish called?
30:37What is this?
30:38Smoky bacon?
30:38Smoky bacon, yes.
30:39Oh, yes?
30:40What happened with the smoky bacon?
30:41We were cleaning his bowl out one day with washing up liquid, and we didn't quite rinse
30:45it all out, and he ended up blowing bubbles.
30:46Oh, yes.
30:47So you must be very careful, you know, with your goldfish.
30:50That's what happened.
30:51Yes.
30:52Hands that do fishing.
31:05Oh, sorry.
31:05I'll go with you.
31:07Nobody noticed.
31:09Anyway, we're here now.
31:10Our third game is called Puppy Love.
31:12We're going to show you some gorgeous little puppies.
31:15All you have to do is tell us what particular breed they are.
31:19Now, come over to your lecterns.
31:22First, you're over with me.
31:24Come on.
31:25Hold this.
31:26Heel.
31:27Heel.
31:27Heel, Riz.
31:28Come on, boy.
31:29Good boy.
31:29Good boy.
31:30That's fine.
31:30That's fine.
31:31Now, can we have our first puppy, please?
31:35That's it.
31:35Oh, wow.
31:37Isn't that a beauty?
31:39That's absolutely lovely.
31:41Have a good look at him.
31:42Okay.
31:43Could we have the second one on, please?
31:45I hope you're playing this at home as well.
31:46Write down what you think they are.
31:48No, isn't he?
31:49Oh, what are all the R's?
31:52Okay.
31:53That's lovely.
31:53And now, number three.
31:56Oh, yes.
31:57Easy.
31:59Yes.
32:00He's going for a drag.
32:02There we are.
32:03That's absolutely wonderful.
32:04Yeah.
32:05Oh, look at that quirky one.
32:08Beautiful.
32:09Oh, yes.
32:10And the last one, please.
32:12Now, look at this.
32:13Just look at that bundle of love.
32:16There we are.
32:18Absolutely beautiful.
32:20Now, write down who you think they are.
32:21And don't forget, do play this at home.
32:23So, would you mind just bringing that little pet there?
32:27Absolutely beautiful.
32:29Now, first of all, is it a boy or a girl?
32:30It's a little girl.
32:31It's a little girl.
32:32What a lovely face.
32:33And the name?
32:34Deedley Dee Er Indoors.
32:37Deedley?
32:37And does she Deedley Dee Indoors?
32:41North of Deedley Dee.
32:42There we are.
32:42What a beauty.
32:43Okay.
32:44What breed is it?
32:45It's a bearded collie.
32:46A bearded collie.
32:48Bearded collie.
32:49What have you got over there?
32:50A sheepdog.
32:51A sheepdog.
32:52And we've got a Jack Russell.
32:54What a start.
33:03What a start.
33:04Come back here, if you will.
33:05Let's have the next one in.
33:07Well, here's a little boy.
