00:41this rural paradise is already home to our house-hunting couple,
00:45who want a new home where they can expand
00:47their thriving wedding business.

00:52We've been together about 34 years.
00:55Stop clanking our arms and legs.

01:02The floral artists will be here very soon,
01:04so if we could just get some of the bones in.
01:06Mel is very organised.
01:08Matt is really kind-hearted,
01:10and I think we've just grown into each other.
01:12After 30 years, you can almost finish each other's sentences.

01:23So we live about an hour from Sydney CBD,
01:26and it's a beautiful area.
01:28It's still very rural.
01:29Hustle and bustle.
01:31And that's where we want to stay.
01:33So we've got a number of gardening jobs this week.
01:36We have two businesses.
01:38We have a gardening business,
01:40and we also have the wedding business.
01:42It's known as Belle Heath, which is also the name of our home.
01:46We offer our property for beautiful garden weddings.
01:50They'll be walking through here.

01:53It'll be lovely.
01:54We don't really have a wet weather option,
01:55and if we can find a property with a barn on it,
01:59that solves a lot of our issues.
02:01So one of the non-negotiables for house hunting
02:04is we have to find a property that my chapel can be placed next to,
02:08whatever we find for a wet weather option.
02:11I think these could do with a little bit of a trim.
02:13So apart from the barn for wet weddings
02:16and the perfect position for the chapel,
02:18what's on the wish list for Mel and Matt?
02:20A large shed where I can have a workshop
02:23to repair my mowing equipment.
02:26I try and avoid staircases.
02:29I have a really bad knee, but also love a pool.
02:34We also want to find a property that has good bones.
02:37It doesn't need a lot of structural work.
02:39It's got to be something that's quite special.
02:41It's got to have character.
02:43I'd also like to have something that has some areas
02:46for beautiful garden weddings.
02:48I think the price range that we're looking at
02:51would probably be the $3 million to $3.5 million range.

06:36While Mel has ideas for where her chapel could go, the barn itself doesn't offer the charm she would like for the wet weather option for her weddings.

07:22In the shadow of the beautiful Blue Mountains, Mel and Matt are looking for a country property on acreage to become their home, but also the perfect spot for their gardening and wedding businesses.
07:42With a very healthy budget of up to $3.5 million, Mel's looking for a place not needing a major reno, but with plenty of character.

07:53While Matt wants a large shed and a pool.
07:56But due to a knee injury, he wants to avoid a house with stairs.

10:55To be flushed with success, this couple needs a large barn so they can expand their wedding business.

11:11Despite being made of her least favourite material, Mel can still see how the barn could work for weddings.
11:19I think this shed, size-wise, it's pretty impressive.
11:23It's probably bigger than I was expecting.
11:25Inside, you know, you could sort of section it off for hair and make-up.

11:30I still would like this shed to be a garage for the cars and whatnot.

11:45I really like the inside, but I realised it was two-storey and I wasn't too impressed with that.

17:37We've seen three great houses.
17:39We have a lot to think about.

20:31So this property is sitting at the top of our budget.
20:34So we have to take that into account.
