We take a look at a mini video projector. Small in size, very useful. But it will need darkness to function, and you will need to connect it to a much better sound system through headphones out.

00:00I think I'm gonna like the little gizmo we're taking a look at today it is a
00:04mini video projector let's just have a quick look at the box it only says mini
00:09projector HDMI high definition multimedia interface picture of the projector and
00:17there it says easy setup HD support remote control stereo speakers and here
00:24it says same things easy setup HD support remote control stereo speakers mini
00:30projector here it says 0.5 kilograms weight 12 volt enter 60 inches 20k hours
00:39and on this side it just has the same projector in white and there it was in
00:45black right let's have a look at what we have inside open the box take it out and
00:51it's all nicely fitted in there now let me just put this down I had it taken out
00:56once before because I saw it needed to be charged it can of course run off of
01:01electricity that's what this cable is for this is just a white shower curtain I
01:05bought a non shiny one I thought I could use it as a screen because I couldn't
01:09find one of those standing screens on a stand which is what I really wanted but
01:14I'll test this and see if it'll work now let's just have a quick look at what's in
01:18here this is just protection and here is a user manual there's your power cable
01:25remote control yeah I also put batteries in this it needs batteries it's not
01:30included oh no wait I didn't put it in I put it here and here is the cable that
01:35goes in so you can connect the video cable there's your projector it has HDMI input AV
01:43headphones so you can connect it to better sound and USB you see this cable
01:49here will go in there and then you can connect your VCR or whatever DVD player
01:56through this or of course you could use the HDMI cable there better quality
02:02there's what it looks like here there's your DC in for the power I don't know
02:08what these other things are we'll have a quick look in the manual there's your
02:11lens to project with some kind of adjustment can be made there oh the
02:18lens goes in and out I suppose it's to focus and there's some switches let's just
02:25have a very quick look at the user manual image format jpeg png bitmap jpeg video
02:32format mp4 mkv movie wmv rmv brm avi flv trp vov 3gp diffx tp ts mpg that's mpeg
02:49m2ts f4v dat audio format mp3 aac wave flac wma m4a
03:01the projector does not support Dolby audio decoding and here is just
03:06specification you can read those if you can I'll just scan through them quickly
03:12this we won't need now because I'm gonna play off of USB stick or USB drive now I
03:20didn't charge the battery but for some reason I cannot get this projector on so
03:27I don't know if it needs to be charged more or what but we're going to connect
03:32the electricity to it where do we do that again oh there it seems and now this of
03:40course need to be plugged in oh I see there is something looks like you can
03:45screw it onto a tripod or something if you need to yeah that'll actually be good
03:50because then you can take it up and down and tilt and turn and whatever alrighty the
03:55electricity is plugged in and now it has a little red light there so I suppose we
04:01can turn it on but we're gonna have to adjust our lighting here so we can
04:04actually see I think maybe we need to put up a little screen let's see if this
04:08shower curtain will work okay well we got our shower curtain put up
04:13unfortunately as you can see everywhere it was folded at the edges you now see the
04:19edges on there but hopefully over time that'll go away for now let's see we
04:23take our USB drive let's put it into the USB slot and now I'm gonna have to
04:29switch off the lights I turn it on light turned green and there's our image but
04:36I'm really close to the screen I don't think I should be this close will it
04:41focus almost yeah it seems that's about the closest we can be can you see the
04:48image I may need to darken the place a little bit more even okay I guess that's
04:53about as dark as we can make it well still having it light enough to shoot our
04:58video it's still very light here oh there's a monitor behind the screen let
05:02me just turn that off also can you see the image now I may need to make it even a
05:07little darker there we are okay let me just show you first what I'm gonna do of
05:12course I need to select media that's USB and of course movie we'll select movie
05:20and there it gives us our USB drive let me just turn the lights down I forget I
05:27have adjustable lighting here although there we are
05:32oh and there's sound also let me just turn up the volume where is it seems this
05:37remote only works from behind the projector looks quite good but obviously
05:41you're gonna have to use this projector in the dark for best results this is a
05:474k mp4 file that I'm playing now and it seems to be playing fine yeah the light
05:55of the projection this strength of the light isn't that much but it will work
06:01in the dark like it is now I can hear it's playing sound
06:05oh yeah now I can hear it's actually quite loud but yeah you're gonna have to you're gonna want to play it through some speakers because actually you have it at least there yeah you see then it focuses
06:25how much is this how much is this about a meter over a meter I would say
06:31yeah then it focuses just fine so keep in mind if you are gonna use this
06:38projector or one like it you are gonna want darkness to view your movies in
06:44let me just turn off this volume turn it down quite some because it's
06:51really sharp yeah that's the other thing you are definitely gonna want external
06:56speakers to listen to the sound on because this is just too sharp for the
07:02ears all right then that's as much as I can tell you about the mini projector
07:08doesn't have a brand name it just says mini projector all right your homework hit the
07:14like and subscribe button and we'll talk about more cool gadget thingies yeah
