00:00Coach, I know some things did go right for some of these NBA teams.
00:03Give us some teams that you thought really excelled in the NBA draft.
00:07Well, number one, even though he's acting like a damn idiot, I still like Utah.
00:13I mean, I thought that Ace Bailey, to me, was number three on my draft board.
00:18I think his ability to score is going to be really, really interesting.
00:22I think a lot of what Ace Bailey is going to be predicated on in regards to rookie of the year,
00:27market, guys, is what does Danny Ainge do?
00:31If you really look at this, four guys in Utah you've got to be on the lookout for.
00:35John Collins, Laurie Marketing, Jordan Clarkson, Collin Sexton.
00:38If you continue to tank, you have to be looking to move at least three of them.
00:45Clarkson, Sexton, John Collins all need to be moved.
00:49You've got to play guys like Keontae, George, Taylor Hendricks,
00:52and obviously a player of the caliber of an Ace Bailey.
00:56So, for Utah getting a top three talent, arguably top two talent at pick five,
01:02I think is absolutely fantastic.
01:06Second, I love what Orlando did getting Jace Richardson where they did.
01:12I think that Jace Richardson is such a dynamic scorer at the point of attack.
01:18You know, you look at the NBA and these smaller guards,
01:22a la Jalen Brunson, are starting to exceed in this league because you can hide them on the defensive end of the floor.
01:28Well, number one, you don't have to hide Jace Richardson because he came from Sparty.
01:32And anybody who knows anything about Sparty knows that if you don't play no damn defense,
01:36you're not going to play for Tom Izzo.
01:38But to me, now you have an interesting thing in Orlando.
01:42Number one, Jalen Suggs had a really good year before he got hurt, but Jalen Suggs is injury pro, right?
01:49So, you need a backup point guard.
01:51Now, also, what it does for Jamal Mosley, Donnie, is it allows you to play different ways, right?
01:58Number one, you could go with, you could put Suggs off the ball, right?
02:03And play him in the backcourt, right?
02:05Obviously, Jace Richardson.
02:07And have a good defender, but a guy that can score and shoot the ball at a high clip from three.
02:12You could go with him and Bain, right?
02:15Two high prolific scores.
02:16You can go with your backups.
02:18You can move Anthony Black and go with a two-point guard setup.
02:20So, now Jamal Mosley has ways that he can mix and match his team in the backcourt
02:25and a team that was the worst three-point shooting team in regards to flat-out attempts and makes
02:32and percentage now has a guy that shoots it at a 40% clip from three.
02:38The other team that I like, what they did, is the Miami Heat.
02:42Giving Yaki Jonas at pick 20 a phenomenal value.
02:48Miami Heat team that really has struck out a lot, Donnie, in regards to who they were looking
02:53and trying to pick up, right?
02:55Obviously, when they hit on Duran, you know, they won a little last year.
02:59Now they have a point guard, 15 points a game, almost five assists, four rebounds, six foot five,
03:05long, can play really smart basketball.
03:08And now you have a facilitator that can get the ball to Scary Terry, who can get the ball to Hero,
03:14who can get the ball to Bam Adebayo.
03:16Let me tell you something, folks, and he's going to start.
03:19Unless you believe that Davion Mitchell is going to start, because Davion Mitchell did have a good playoff.
03:24If I'm Spoh, I'm going with KJ at the point.
03:28So now when you look at the situation where he's at, this could be a kid that can give you 12, 13 points
03:33and may give you six or seven assists.
03:35Hello, that is value now, Donnie, that you have in regards to the rookie of the year class right now.
03:42Thank you very much.
