00:00DRS start number two of the year for Shohei Otani again just one inning of work but after
00:06his first start of the season on Monday start number two yesterday against the Washington
00:11Nationals only one inning but did go scoreless striking out two and then had a huge day at the
00:20plate two for four a home run a triple five RBIs in a high scoring affair as the Dodgers win
00:27against the Washington Nationals 13 to 7 the final at the ravine yesterday yeah it's interesting
00:35too because you look at the Dodgers didn't even score a run through five innings still played at
00:3913 that's how explosive that lineup can be but also more eyes focus we know Otani is going to
00:43be great at the plate probably going to be the MVP and yesterday widening his margin in that MVP race
00:49but here's the issue that comes up what's the goal here for Otani are we just throwing one innings
00:53is he going to keep us an opener here let's get more high leverage situations are we working him
00:57in the two three four and five innings whereby late August and September he would be a factor
01:01in the actual five-man rotation and handing into the playoffs it's a good start for Otani because
01:06he's feeling good in that spot here but the expectations I would believe that he's going
01:11to get his reach is regain his starting role which means five six seven innings when he's available
01:15to do that not just hey let's take it easy in his first year back and have him as an opener
01:19every five days
01:20every five days
