00:00Here come a couple of kids that if they get called up, all of a sudden might be interesting.

00:04One is Chase DeLauder and the other is CJ Cephas.

00:07Now, outfield first base eligibility for Cephas.

00:10DeLauder more of an outfield guy.

00:12Cephas, I think, just whacked a couple of grand slams in a recent game.

00:16And then DeLauder has been hitting in 25 straight AAA games.

00:20I might have these mixed up here.

00:22But these guys are ready to come up.

00:24If you're Cleveland, is now the time.

00:27No, you've got them correct, actually.

00:28And Chase DeLauder is a guy that has missed a lot of time because of injuries the last two years.

00:34One of the brighter prospects in baseball offensively.

00:37But injuries have slowed development.

00:39And injuries slowed him to the 2025 season, too.

00:41He just came on recently and was activated.

00:43But if you look at what he's done so far, it's been spectacular.

00:47Over 25 games at AAA, hitting .311 with a .427 OBP, a .522 slugging, a .949 OPS, four homers, and 15 RBI in just 25 games.

00:57There's very little here to prove.

01:00And you think about where they are right now as a team.

01:03Cleveland is a game and a half out of the wild card.

01:06The Twins stink.

01:07Okay?

01:08I don't want to hear anybody talking about the Twins.

01:09The pitching is awful.

01:10Bailey Ober's been awful.

01:11Lopez is hurt on top of that.

01:14You know, Paddock has regressed, which you knew was coming.

01:17But you look at the rest of this lineup right now.

01:20You know, Carl Santana, God bless him.

01:22He's 400 years old.

01:23Lane Thomas, I think we know what he is.

01:25I mean, Nolan Jones.

01:26Like, come on, man.

01:27Chase the lot or get him up there.

01:28And CJ Kaifas is another one, too, where I think you have to recognize that the future is now.

01:35And you've got to stop waiting if you're the Cleveland Guardians.

01:37You've got to make a push here.

01:39Now, Kaifas this season at AAA has also enjoyed a pretty good season.

01:4349 games, hitting .300 himself with a .386 OBP, a .571 slugging.

01:49He's got 10 homers and 32 RBI in 49 games.

01:52He had made the jump from AA to AAA.

01:55So these are two names that if you're looking to add or stash some prospects that I think are going to make an impact sooner than later,

02:02it's either going to be one or two ways.

02:03Either Cleveland's going to have to trade one or two of these guys to bring in more help for them,

02:08or they just simply bring them up and let them play the outfield and let them play first base every day

02:14and move Santana to DH and move somebody else off the field.

02:18Because I think the Guardians have a responsibility to Jose Ramirez,

02:24who took a team-friendly contract, to give him some more help,

02:27and to the fan base that comes out and supports his team every single year.

02:30And they're always good but not great.

02:33Let's dare to be great in a mediocre American league this year.

02:36Bring these kids up, see what they can do.

02:38And I certainly hope they do because if they come up and they do hit right away,

02:42man, that's a huge win for this lineup.

02:44So I'm hoping to see both of these guys by the time we get to, you know,

02:48maybe post-All-Star break would make a lot of sense there.

02:50And if not, maybe they get traded and they start to become everyday players somewhere else in August and September.

02:54So two names to definitely watch in the prospect room.
