00:00Here's today's Derbyshire Times video bulletin.
00:03Derbyshire residents are being urged to look out for vulnerable people amid rising temperatures,
00:08with a health warning being issued amid highs of 30 degrees this weekend.
00:12The UK Health Security Agency has issued a yellow heat health alert for Derbyshire.
00:18The alert, which is in effect now, runs until 6pm on Sunday,
00:21with residents urged to look out for older people and young children during this period,
00:25as well as those with longer health-term conditions.
00:31Chesterfield secondary students have attended a mock cabinet
00:33and met Lowey the Cat in the heart of Westminster.
00:36Students from St Mary's Catholic High School in Chesterfield
00:39were invited to 10 Downing Street for a visit to London.
00:42Members of the school parliament took part in the visit,
00:44alongside the Year 12 Politics A-Level students,
00:47and had a chance to talk to Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins,
00:50who joined them at the start and welcomed them to London.
00:53Maria Dengate, who was the head teacher at St Mary's High School, said,
00:56This was a wonderful opportunity for our students,
00:59and something they will forever cherish.
01:01Their exemplary behaviour, as well as their inquisitiveness,
01:04was complemented by the staff at Downing Street,
01:06and I am, as always, incredibly proud of them.
