00:00Here's today's Derbyshire Times video bulletin.
00:03Several former Derbyshire Council officers could be demolished to make way for more than 70 apartments.
00:09Lancashire firm Stirling Property Limited has submitted plans to demolish a large number of buildings
00:14on the former Derbyshire County Council Chatsworth Hall office complex off Wellington Street and Chesterfield Road in Matlock.
00:21These buildings would be replaced with a large three or four storey modern complex containing 73 apartments.
00:28Derbyshire Dales District Council is set to make a decision on the plans in the next few months.
00:34Drone footage has revealed the extent of damage caused after an explosion at a terraced property in Derbyshire
00:40as some neighbouring residents are being allowed to return home.
00:43Emergency services are starting to scale back their response to the possible gas explosion on Eden Street in Elverston.
00:49However, they will remain at the scene for several more days.
00:52Firefighters and emergency responders first attended the incident following a 999 call on Tuesday evening.
00:59One property suffered significant damage during the explosion and several other properties were impacted.
01:05One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the dog was rescued by search and rescue teams
01:10and handed into the care of a veterinary team.
01:12A fence has been erected around the properties most impacted by the incident.
01:17Arrangements are currently being made to allow residents outside of this fenced area back into their homes.
01:23However, there may be some temporary disruption to power supply to these properties.
