00:00Si vous voulez le meilleur de la route, vous pouvez venir à Zemin National Park.
00:07From the green mountains that earned it the nickname the Switzerland of Uzbekistan
00:13to its Silk Road Junction city centre, Jizak is a family-friendly region ripe for exploration.
00:20Locals spend balmy summer days in Orata Park enjoying its flourishing gardens and fairground rides
00:26and evenings at the Jizak Regional Musical Drama Theatre.
00:31Many visitors to Jizak begin their journey here in Rashidov Square,
00:36home to a statue of one of the city's most famous sons.
00:40Credited with leading Uzbekistan through a critical period of Soviet-era modernisation,
00:45Sharav Rashidov became first secretary of the Uzbek Communist Party in 1959,
00:52a post he held until his death in 1983.
00:56Nearby, his parents' former home has been converted into the Sharav Rashidov House Museum.
01:03His life story is told in photographs, ceramics and personal effects,
01:09such as this stuffed crocodile, a gift from Cuba's Fidel Castro.
01:14Sharav Rashidov was a poet, a poet, a writer and a very good leader.
01:20He served the Republic for about 25 years of the Republic for about 25 years.
01:26An interesting exhibit in the museum includes a costume,
01:31which was given in 1958, a costume of the Shachem Iran-Iran Pachlavim.
01:38And the second, there is a special piece of Sharav Rashidov,
01:45a portfell, which he had worn during the student years.
01:50Across town, the museum of Hamid Olimdjan and Zulfiyah celebrates one of the region's most beloved couples.
01:57Both famous writers, Zulfiyah and Hamid, had Uzbekistan's romance of the century,
02:04until it was cut short by Hamid's untimely demise in a car accident aged just 35.
02:10Zulfiyah lived until she was 81 and became one of the country's most decorated literary voices,
02:16receiving state medals for her work.
02:19A scenic two-hour drive from Jizak city centre, Zaman is a breath of fresh air,
02:25quite literally, with its purifying juniper forests and cool microclimate.
02:31The star attraction here is Zaman National Park,
02:34spanning more than 26,000 hectares of forested mountains and alpine meadows.
02:40It's a sanctuary for rare wildlife and for travellers like me,
02:46seeking tranquility and just a little bit of adventure.
02:49The park's ziplines and bungee jump offer a pure shot of adrenaline,
02:54allowing riders to fly through the valley like birds.
02:58Alongside them, the 305-metre long and 150-metre high suspension bridge
03:03makes those who cross her to feel like they are walking on air.
03:07Another way to get a bird's eye view of the landscape is from a cable car,
03:12gliding above the park's peaks and waterfalls.
03:16And when you get to the top of the cable car station,
03:19be sure to stop and pick up some kert.
03:21This is a local delicacy made with dried cottage cheese.
03:26After an invigorating hike, visitors can take the weight off
03:30of the park's peak.
03:31It's in May, June, and June.
03:34The most important place in our park is the thousand-year-old orchard.
03:40There are a lot of mountain lakes, streams,
03:42and there are also some relatives.
03:45It's called Cherbulak.
03:47And there are also the Greek olive trees, Babayano.
03:50After an invigorating hike,
03:54visitors can take the weight off their feet
03:56at a local luxury retreat.
03:58One of the park's newest is the Zimindo Resort.
04:02The hotel opened last year, the 28th of March, 2024.
04:07We have a lot of those from European countries,
