Anantnag (J&K), June 08, 2025 (ANI): In a heart-warming display of solidarity and compassion, Indian Army under the aegis of Chinar Corps in collaboration with NGO M3M Foundation, Gurgaon organised the Gujjar–Bakerwal Mela in Anantnag. The event brought together over 500 members of Gujjar and Bakerwal tribal community from across Anantnag district. The mela served as a beacon of hope and relief for nearly 350 underprivileged families of the nomadic Gujjar–Bakerwal community. Essential supplies including tarpaulins, solar lights, blankets and utility bags were distributed to address their unique lifestyle needs. Medical camp was also set up, offering much-needed healthcare support to these resilient families who often lack access to basic medical facilities and also provision of refreshments for all the attendees. This initiative stands as a testament to Indian Army’s unwavering dedication to ethos of Sadbhavana by reaching out the most vulnerable sections of society and uplifting them through meaningful engagement and support.
