Kupwara (J&K), June 17, 2025 (ANI): In a significant outreach initiative, the Indian Army's Shakti Vijay Brigade organized a large-scale Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Rally at Tangdhar, near the Line of Control in Kupwara district, North Kashmir. The event saw participation from over 400 military veterans, their families, and officials from both the Army and various civil departments. Aimed at addressing the concerns and welfare needs of the veteran community in the Karnah region, the rally successfully resolved many grievances on the spot, while others were documented for further redressal by higher authorities. A major highlight of the event was a virtual interaction with JAKRIF Record via video conference, during which several service-related record issues were promptly settled. The rally was attended by Deputy Commander of the Shakti Vijay Brigade, SDM Karnah Mr. Zaffar Ahmad Lone, Director ECHS Col (Veterans), CRO JAKLI Record, and representatives from ECHS Baramulla, SBI, J&K Bank, the Agriculture and Forest Departments, and the Indian Post Office. Special facilitation was arranged for Veer Naris, families of battle casualties, and widows of physical casualties, who were honored and supported by the 104 Shakti Vijay Brigade. This event reaffirmed the Indian Army and civil administration’s deep commitment to the welfare and dignity of ex-servicemen and their families, bridging gaps and ensuring continued respect and support.
