Hundreds of devotees flocked to Singhia Ghat in Bihar’s Samastipur this week for the annual Nag Panchami fair, a centuries-old tradition centered around snake worship. The event began with rituals at the Maa Bhagwati temple in Singhia Bazaar before moving to the Budhi Gandak riverbank. Participants of all ages carried snakes on their heads, necks, arms, or in their hands as part of the religious observance.
