00:00Welcome to TBS and the Power Hour.
00:01In the next 60 minutes, we'll talk about the volatile situation that has arisen between Rick Steiner and Lex Luger.
00:08Missy Hyatt does the mail, plus we'll see Rick Steiner, Sting, and many others in one-on-one competition.
00:14That and more this morning on the Power Hour.
01:00Alexandra York, from Atlanta, Georgia, 218 pounds, Thomas Ritz.
01:08And from Vero Beach, Florida, 236 pounds, the computerized man of the 1990s, Terrence Taylor.
01:30And ladies and gentlemen, their opponents, first from the Northwoods, weighing 275 pounds, Big Josh.
01:40And from Huntsville, Alabama, 233 pounds, beautiful Bobby!
01:50This should be an outstanding tag team event to kick it off here this morning on TBS.
02:00Mike Atkins, the referee.
02:04And we'll see who starts for their respective duos.
02:07It looks as if it will be Terrence Taylor and beautiful Bobby.
02:13And what a fascinating match they had at Halloween Havoc a couple of weeks ago.
02:22Dollar Novo tie-up and a good arm drag takeover by Terrence.
02:25York Foundation, this Sunday on the main event, have been awarded a rematch for the six-man tag team championship.
02:40Quite frankly, they got a little bit of a raw deal last Sunday here on TBS.
02:45And they will go for the six-man championship again this Sunday on the main event.
02:59Bobby's not going to get into a conversation with you.
03:01He lets that right hand of his do the talking.
03:06And tremendous backbreaker.
03:09And a close line.
03:10Nice move by beautiful Bobby.
03:11Bobby's not going to talk a lot, as we said.
03:15Wrestling him will be like wrestling Harpo Marx.
03:20This kind of makes noises.
03:21Not a lot of audible words.
03:27And what a right hand.
03:27I tell you, it is just unreal.
03:30Terrence says, I want to see the computer.
03:33I want more information or I want to use it as a weapon.
03:35Beautiful Bobby will see these men again later today on WCW because he will join forces with the Patriots without Victor Kayamp to take on the York Foundation's six-man action.
03:54So the York Foundation will be in feature events later today on WCW and tomorrow on the main event.
04:04Two former good pals right here, Big Josh and Thomas Rich.
04:08And Big Josh hammering away at his former fishing buddy.
04:17It blocks him all the way across the ring.
04:23These two guys will meet at the Clash of Champions in a lumberjack match, which would seem to be right down Big Josh's alley.
04:31Side headlock and a tag made.
04:38Beautiful Bobby in.
04:40Ladder the foot, which is legal.
04:43And now in the corner of the York Foundation, the tables have turned somewhat.
04:51Beautiful Bobby now on the defensive thanks to the outside efforts of Terrence Taylor.
04:55What are you going to do about it, Big Josh?
04:58What are you going to do?
04:59Taylor taunting Big Josh.
05:03He doesn't take to them their words kindly.
05:07And Eaton being double-teamed.
05:13Snap bear by Taylor.
05:16Man, these guys are really evenly matched.
05:19Speaking of Taylor and Eaton.
05:22Lateral press.
05:24And beautiful Bobby able to kick out.
05:27And comes back with a right hand.
05:29As Darryl Royal used to say, Eaton dances with who brung him.
05:36And who brung him is that right hand.
05:39For double-teaming.
05:41And referee Mike Ecklund, quite frankly, losing a little control here.
05:49Beautiful Bobby.
05:50Bobby has Rich pinned here.
05:53And a clothesline by Terrence Taylor.
05:59And now Big Josh nails his former pal.
06:02Beautiful Bobby's got Rich pinned.
06:04And he holds him down.
06:06Ladies and gentlemen, the winners of the match.
06:08The team of Big Josh and beautiful Bobby.
06:14Fans will be back right after this.
06:18Time out.
06:19Beautiful Bobby.
06:20Beautiful Bobby.
06:21Beautiful Bobby.
06:21Beautiful Bobby.
06:21Beautiful Bobby.
06:22Beautiful Bobby.
06:22Welcome back everyone to TBS and the Power Hour.
06:36I'm Jim Ross.
06:36Thank you very much for being with us here this morning.
06:39Still to come, we'll see Sting in action.
06:41Also, Rick Steiner in one-on-one competition.
06:44And speaking of Rick Steiner, if you have not seen the violent altercation that he had recently with Lex Luger,
06:50we hope you'll stay tuned to tonight's WCW broadcast because we have the exclusive footage of that situation.
06:58Now, a little bit later in this hour, during Missy Does the Mail,
07:02we're going to let you hear an interview I had earlier this week with the Dogface Gremlin
07:06as he talked about his goal now to be the next world's heavyweight champion.
07:13He's going to wrestle Lex Luger at the Clash of Champions on Tuesday, November the 19th,
07:17but we'll talk more about that in the hour.
07:18Now, before we return to the ring to see the Patriots in action,
07:22I want to show you a piece of action footage involving Medusa
07:26and her number one rival right now in WCW, Bambi.
07:30Let's go now to the videotape.
07:32Almost got upset right here, and I don't know if it would really be considered an upset.
07:36Bambi's an outstanding female competitor.
07:42And these two, as I said, are developing a tremendous rivalry.
07:46And double clotheslines, both ladies executed the clothesline.
07:51I think Medusa perhaps got the worst of the situation.
07:56And now Bambi wants to use the Bulldog headlock, and she caught her with it.
08:01She caught her with a Bulldog.
08:03She should have her right here, and Medusa's got a foot in the rope.
08:08Referee's going to have to stop it.
08:10I think Bambi thinks she's won it.
08:13She was in the ropes.
08:14Oh, my gosh.
08:15Bambi in the back suplex.
08:17And she played it.
08:19Ladies and gentlemen, here's your winner, Medusa.
08:23Ladies and gentlemen, the following tag team event, it is at 4-1-4.
08:30Introducing first from the WCW Special Forces, they are the United States Tag Team Champions,
08:39Firebreaker Chip, the champion, the Patriots.
08:45Their opponents, first from Boise, Idaho, 283 pounds, Fred Avery.
08:53And from North Port, Florida, Bob Cook.
08:58All right, ladies and gentlemen, interesting footage from Bambi and Medusa.
09:03Of course, Medusa now managed by Pauly Dangerously.
09:05Bambi also has the contract with Ravishing Rick Rude.
09:18A young man got a souvenir from Cod Champion, and someone else gets one from Firebreaker Chip.
09:25As I mentioned at the top of the broadcast this morning, later today on WCW Saturday night,
09:31it will be a beautiful Bobby and the Patriots to take on the York Foundation.
09:37And one of the main events on WCW,
09:44McFred Avery starting out with Firebreaker Chip.
09:48You know, the young pistols have made it clear that they want an opportunity to wrestle the Patriots
09:55for the U.S. Tag Titles.
09:59Nice move there by Chip and Firebreaker.
10:01Catches Big Fred Avery with a clothesline off the top.
10:07We may be seeing the metamorphosis of a new attitude from the young pistols.
10:14Steve Armstrong and Tracy Smothers.
10:19Parable elbow there by Todd Champion.
10:22But in any event, in any attitude, it should be a very interesting match if and when it is signed.
10:28Firebreaker Chip dropping the elbow right across the insertion point at the top of the shoulder.
10:39Fans, don't forget that the Ross Report is on the wrestling hotline until 9 o'clock tonight.
10:45And then we'll have our second announcers roundtable.
10:48Very candid discussions with all the announcers in WCW beginning at 9 o'clock tonight on the hotline.
10:54And Firebreaker Chip fighting right out of the corner.
10:57Bob Cook, the veteran from Florida in there.
11:01He's an outstanding wrestler.
11:03Always thought that Cook was perhaps just a move or two away from being a top-flight athlete.
11:11Good drop, Toho.
11:15He has an outstanding amateur background, so he really knows the fundamentals.
11:20There's the tag.
11:25Don't forget here this morning, we'll be talking about the big one coming to the Omni in Atlanta.
11:30Thanksgiving night.
11:31We're going to see Ron Simmons and Barry Windham in one-on-one competition.
11:35Plus the Z-Man.
11:37Bill Kassmeyer and Cactus Jack still to come.
11:40Much, much more.
11:41The clothesline there by Firebreaker Chip, and he couldn't hold him down.
11:50Bob Cook's a very competitive athlete.
11:53Another exchange made.
12:03Rob Toho, good takedown into an arm bar.
12:05I'll tell you something, quite frankly, if the Patriots do take on the Pistols,
12:10I'm not going to be surprised at all to see the Young Pistols
12:13win the United States Tag Team Championship.
12:17They've been very close on many occasions.
12:19And they've got more experience, a lot more experience as a unit than do the Patriots.
12:33Lying elbow.
12:35Cook did not see the tag.
12:36Here are your winners, the Patriots.
12:42And so we come back.
12:43We'll take a look at big Ron Simmons.
12:45Barry Windham and more after this time out.
12:47The All-American, Ron Simmons!
13:06His opponent from Minneapolis, Minnesota, 261 pounds, pretty boy, Doug Summers.
13:18Ron Simmons banged up, still very sore.
13:21Got a bad wrist and arm, but he's here to compete.
13:26And Summers trying to gain an early advantage here.
13:29He better get all he can while he can.
13:31Simmons manhandling Summers, the veteran.
13:40I was so proud of the effort and the attitude that Ron Simmons displayed in his two-out-of-three-fall match at Halloween Havoc.
13:50And he is dominating here.
13:53He's not in a good mood this morning, quite obviously.
13:59Simmons could have easily won that match.
14:03Wasn't in the cards this time.
14:04It didn't happen.
14:07Now, what an attitude.
14:08He is a winner through and through.
14:10And there will be other opportunities for the heavyweight championship for this man in the future.
14:23Shoulder block.
14:23Man, he has been dominant here.
14:26Fans, let's hear these comments from two of the teams that will square off at the Clash of Champions for the World Tag Cup.
14:35You know, Larry Zbisco and Arne Anderson, you call yourselves the enforcers.
14:43Well, what's the meaning of jumping Barry Windham when he hasn't even got out of the car at Halloween Havoc?
14:50He hadn't even opened the door before you jumped him and you hurt his wrist.
14:54It might even be broke.
14:55I don't know.
14:55But it's real hurt.
14:56It's real hurt bad.
14:58Larry Zbisco, Arne Anderson, do you not have the guts to jump him face to face, eye to eye?
15:05Do you not have the guts to jump the natural Dustin Rhodes face to face, eye to eye?
15:12Well, November 19th, you're going to have to face the team of Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes at the Clash of Champions.
15:19Barry Windham is training his arm right now as I speak.
15:23He's feeling very confident that we will be the next World Tag Team Champions at the Clash of Champions.
15:28And I feel very confident, too, that we will be the next World Tag Team Champions at the Clash of Champions.
15:35November 19th, enforcers.
15:36Watch out, palies.
15:37We're coming for you.
15:40You know something?
15:41Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes, science and technology of the 90s can take a man and put him up on the moon.
15:49They can take a heart out of one person and put it into somebody else, and it keeps on ticking.
15:57They can get you a pizza in 30 minutes or less, but there's one thing that they cannot do.
16:04This world cannot produce another Arne Anderson and another Larry Zbisco.
16:09This planet cannot make any more real men.
16:15And you people are looking at the last two of them.
16:18You know, I don't know what Barry Windham is thinking about if he thinks he's going to get in the ring with a busted arm.
16:25And I don't know what Dustin Rhodes is dreaming about because, you know something?
16:29We have forgotten more than you two guys are ever going to know in professional wrestling.
16:37Take a good look at us, boys, because we are the enforcers.
16:41Well, I don't know if you people are up on current events, but the last I heard about Barry Windham was he got a second career.
16:49They got him propped up out in Las Vegas, Dublin, as a one-armed bandit.
16:54You see, Windham?
16:55That hand, that big hand that you used to punch with, don't work anymore.
16:59So November 19th in Savannah, Georgia, at the Clash of Champion, with the whole world as your platform,
17:07you can't back off and tee off and punch me or punch him.
17:12With one hand, what you become is less than a normal man.
17:17You see, I spent all these years marveling at your technique.
17:20Barry Windham, I always said, was the greatest big man in the business.
17:27Well, November the 19th, if you come out there with one arm, sure, we're nice guys.
17:32We won't take advantage of it.
17:34That's why Larry and I call ourselves real men.
17:36We don't take care of such a lot.
17:37Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest, it is that fall won Paul.
17:42Introducing first, from Sweetwater, Texas, weighing 278 pounds, Barry.
17:50Barry Windham!
17:54His opponent from New York City, 271 pounds, Lou Fabiano.
18:04Fabiano attacking Barry Windham.
18:07I mentioned earlier that Windham is nursing a very sore wrist and arm
18:12thanks to what happened at Halloween Havoc at the hands of the enforcers.
18:17It knocked him out of Halloween Havoc.
18:20As many of you know by now, and he is wrestling against doctor's orders here.
18:28Windham is very adamant to, when you ask him about his wrist,
18:33he says he does not want to talk about it.
18:35He will not talk about it.
18:37He and Dustin Rhodes to take on the enforcers at the Clash of Champions.
18:45Interesting comments from both teams.
18:49All right, big boy.
18:52Windham with a tremendous shot there.
18:54But I hope that Barry is not endangering his own career to continue to compete here on television.
19:07Wow.
19:10Vertical suplex on the outside, back in.
19:13And Fabiano, showing his tenacity, got his shoulder up.
19:17Talked to Barry yesterday.
19:25I said, man, you need to go to the doctor and have that thing thoroughly examined.
19:31I don't think he wanted or listened to my advice.
19:36But I know the guy's in tremendous pain.
19:40But that's the, from the old school, as they say.
19:43That's the type of athlete he is.
19:47He can play with pain.
19:50And sometimes that's exactly what it takes.
19:52Oh, Barry took him straight down.
19:59And that's going to be all for Fabiano.
20:03Ladies and gentlemen, here's your winner, Barry Windham.
20:07Oh.
20:22Welcome back, everyone, to TBS and the Power Hour.
20:52Jim Ross back, will you?
20:53Thanks for being with us.
20:54Don't forget, tonight, 9 o'clock, it's the WCW Announcers Roundtable,
21:00moderated by our good friend and colleague Lance Russell.
21:05Lance, Gordon Soley, Tony Schiavone, and yours truly will have a discussion tonight
21:12at 9 o'clock on the Wrestling Hotline.
21:14And until then, I'll be having the Ross Report with several behind-the-scenes,
21:20late-breaking news.
21:22Z-Man, who is in top condition.
21:29And I don't know.
21:32It's admirable that he wants to be the heavyweight champion.
21:35I think that's every athlete here's ultimate goal.
21:39But he's really been focusing on Luger.
21:43He's been watching hours of videotape.
21:46I mentioned that the Z-Man had dropped 8 or 10 pounds to allow himself to be quicker
21:52for those battles with Luger.
21:54Solar block, hook the leg.
21:59As a matter of fact, Z-Man returns to his hometown of Minneapolis this Sunday at the Met Center
22:06at a big championship event.
22:11But last Sunday here on TBS, Z-Man, Dustin Rhodes, and Big Josh were darn lucky to leave the arena
22:19with the six-man tag titles intact.
22:21And that rematch has been signed for the main event tomorrow.
22:28You just wonder about the focus with Big Josh having his problems with Tommy Rich individually,
22:34with Dustin Rhodes gearing up for his challenge with Barry Windham against the Enforcers at the Clash,
22:41the Z-Man thinking about Lex Luger.
22:44I really sincerely believe we can see an upset on the main event tomorrow,
22:49and new six-man champions could easily be crowned.
22:56Strap Iron Bill Ford, a real tough brawler.
23:00Drop kicked out of the ring.
23:05Still to come here this morning, Bill Kazmaier and Cactus Jack will go one-on-one.
23:11I'll have my conversation with Rick Steiner about this very volatile Lex Luger situation.
23:17Plus, we'll see Steiner and we'll see the U.S. champions staying in action.
23:21All that yet to come here this morning on TBS.
23:24Side headlock takeover and a pull of the hair.
23:27Controlled only momentarily by Ford, who did not have a better idea in pulling the hair.
23:41I hope you fans will plan on being with us tomorrow, 9 o'clock Eastern,
23:47for Wrestling with Jim Ross and AM 750 WSB.
23:53Always enjoy taking the calls from the fans.
23:57That's on your AM dial at 750.
23:59Referee Randy Anderson having a conversation.
24:05For some reason, it seems like it falls on deaf ears regarding Scrap Iron Ford.
24:11And Z-Man just slapped him back.
24:19Z-Man with those right hands got the better of Ford here.
24:23Good elevation.
24:32Remind the fans that we will be back at center stage on Monday.
24:38And I expect Paul E. Dangerously and Ravishing Rick Rude to be on hand,
24:43along with Medusa, at center stage on Monday.
24:46So I hope you fans will plan on being with us if you're in the Atlanta area.
24:51Center stage, of course, located on West Peach Street,
24:56about a block from the Arts Center Marta Station.
24:59Bell time is 7 o'clock.
25:01There's that karate kick.
25:04Got Ford right in the face.
25:07And now the Z-Man.
25:09I don't think he got the test here he wanted.
25:13He wanted a little more stringent workout.
25:15Cross body.
25:17Off the top.
25:18The leg is hooked.
25:18And this one's in the book.
25:21Here's your winner, the Z-Man!
25:25Kazmier and Cactus coming up.
25:27But now let's take a look at this week's top ten.
25:34Time for the latest WCW top ten rankings
25:36for the weekend of Saturday, November 9th, Sunday, November 10th,
25:40as compiled by the WCW Board of Directors.
25:44In the number ten spot, down one spot in the last week,
25:46of Jule the Butcher.
25:47The number nine man, the world's strongest man, Bill Kazmier,
25:51preceded by the number eight man, Cactus Jack.
25:53In at number seven, the natural Dustin Rhodes.
25:56The number six man this week, the Z-Man from Minnesota.
25:59The number five ranked contender this week in the top ten is Barry Windham,
26:04preceded by the number four ranked man, Rick Steiner.
26:07Ron Simmons, the all-American host, steady at number three,
26:09as does the world TV champion, stunning Steve Austin at number two.
26:13And the number one ranked contender, the U.S. champion, Stang.
26:16And of course, the world heavyweight champion,
26:19the total package Lex Luger.
26:21And that's a look at the WCW top ten.
26:23Wrestling fans, the following contest, it is set for one fall.
26:39Introducing first, from Auburn, Alabama, weighing 334 pounds,
26:45he is the world's strongest human being, Bill Kazmier.
26:56Kazmier ranked number nine, as you saw.
26:58He has a contract negotiated with the world's champion, Lex Luger, to go one-on-one.
27:05But he's got his work cut out for him right here, right now.
27:08And ladies and gentlemen, his opponent,
27:11from truth or consequences, New Mexico,
27:14weighing 287 pounds,
27:18Cactus Jack.
27:20Cactus Jack, who will be on the big event in the Omni on Thanksgiving night,
27:25quickly now,
27:26starting out against Bill Kazmier.
27:31Well, don't think you're going to see a Dory Funk Jr. Jack Briscoe
27:3560-minute classic here.
27:41Kazmier is a power wrestler,
27:43pure and simple.
27:45Cactus Jack is a very deranged man,
27:48a reckless competitor.
27:52Cactus Jack going for the pin.
27:54Look at the strength of Kazmier.
27:59Both these guys are big.
28:03And Kazmier just ran through Cactus.
28:12Kazmier at 334.
28:14Cactus Jack about 285 or so.
28:18Cactus and Abdullah have really been hellacious in some matches.
28:25What a move there.
28:26Cactus came off the apron,
28:28did a 360.
28:29Kazmier tried to catch him.
28:35And now Kazmier rammed into the security railing.
28:38Get on the floor.
28:39Get in the ring now.
28:40One, two, three, four.
28:47Cactus Jack re-wrestling tonight on WCW.
28:52And we'll also have the exclusive footage tonight,
28:54remember,
28:56of that Rick Steiner-Lex Luger incident.
28:59And Cactus,
29:01he may have hit his head on the ring post.
29:04And now he's upside down bear hub.
29:09He's about 285,
29:11as we said.
29:12And wait a minute.
29:13Here comes the grotesque one.
29:18Abdullah the Butcher
29:19cracking Kazmier over the head
29:24with that Kendo stick.
29:26Kazmier doesn't want to let go of Cactus.
29:31Man, the Braves may want to look at this guy next year.
29:35He's swinging that stick.
29:36And now Kazmier picks up Abdullah.
29:49Cactus Jack now working on the knee.
29:53Well, this one has become
29:55totally chaotic here this morning.
29:58I don't think anybody wants to try to break this one up.
30:07And that stick just popping, people.
30:11Kazmier and Cactus still.
30:14He hammers him again.
30:16Let's get it together.
30:17We'll be back in a moment.
30:22My brother's hurt,
30:23but when my brother comes back,
30:24he'll be at ringside.
30:26And Luger,
30:27you think you can stick all your goons out
30:29and do something to me?
30:31What ain't gonna happen, Luger?
30:34Welcome back to the Power Hour.
30:36I'm Missy Hyatt,
30:37and this is Missy Does the Mail.
30:38Many of you are probably aware
30:40that your WCW
30:43world's heavyweight champion,
30:45Lex Luger,
30:46was involved in a shocking incident
30:48recently with Rick Steiner.
30:50Tonight on WCW,
30:52we will have the footage
30:54of this altercation.
30:55But now,
30:56I would like for you
30:57to hear an interview
30:58that Jim Ross
30:59had earlier this week
31:01with Steiner.
31:02I hope that Jim
31:03talks slowly
31:04and doesn't use big words
31:06because Rick
31:07is really dumb.
31:09Let's hear their conversation.
31:11Ladies and gentlemen,
31:12here with Rick Steiner.
31:13And of course,
31:13as we all know,
31:14Rick Steiner
31:15and Scott Steiner,
31:16former World Tag Team Champions,
31:17no doubt have their sights set
31:19on regaining
31:20the Tag Team Championship,
31:21currently held by the enforcers.
31:23But the fans,
31:24many of the fans
31:24have seen the piece
31:25of videotape, Rick,
31:26that happened recently
31:27at one of our television tapings
31:29where Lex Luger
31:30really was a bully,
31:32it seemed like,
31:33and he tried to intimidate you.
31:34Obviously,
31:35that did not go down very well.
31:37What are your thoughts
31:37right now regarding
31:38Lex Luger
31:39and the World's Heavyweight Championship?
31:41You know,
31:41I like Lex Luger, man.
31:43He's the champ.
31:44I thought he was great.
31:46I was just out there
31:47doing my stuff
31:48and he came out.
31:49You know,
31:49I ain't gonna back down
31:50from nobody.
31:51And he just came out
31:52and just tried
31:54to push me around
31:54and ain't nobody
31:56gonna push me around.
31:57I know that Mr. Hughes
31:59and Harley Race
32:00try to take advantage
32:02of the situation.
32:03Anytime,
32:04and I know you have
32:05a big match signed
32:06with Lex Luger
32:06for the World's Heavyweight Championship,
32:08you've got to be aware
32:09of Mr. Hughes and Harley Race,
32:11but I know your brother Scott
32:12would be more than willing
32:13to be at ringside
32:14for that matchup.
32:15You know,
32:16my brother's hurt,
32:18but when my brother comes back,
32:19he'll be at ringside.
32:21And Luger,
32:22you think you can
32:23stick all your goons
32:23out and do something to me?
32:26What ain't gonna happen, Luger?
32:28You know,
32:28this situation, Rick,
32:29you have worked out
32:30in the gym.
32:31I know you and Scott
32:32both have worked out
32:33upon occasion
32:34with Lex Luger.
32:35You guys have also
32:36kind of put the mats down
32:37and done a little bit
32:38of wrestling.
32:38You know in your heart
32:39that you can beat this guy.
32:41Well, you know,
32:41a funny thing is,
32:42me and Hughes
32:45messing around one day
32:46and I just
32:46dropped him on the ground.
32:48Luger,
32:49me and him
32:50were wrestling around
32:50because I like to get
32:51those guys
32:52to see how strong
32:53you'll grab ahold of them
32:53and see what they got.
32:54You know,
32:55I got Luger down,
32:55turned him over,
32:56pinned him,
32:57and I made him
32:58say uncle to me twice.
32:59You know,
32:59so if he wants
33:01to say uncle to me again,
33:02I'll say uncle to me again.
33:04Is there any doubt
33:05in your mind
33:05that you can't beat
33:06Lex Luger
33:06for the World's Heavyweight Championship?
33:08No,
33:09no doubt in my mind.
33:10Fans,
33:11there you hear
33:11from Rick Steiner
33:12who may be
33:13the next heavyweight champion
33:14of the world.
33:15Can you imagine
33:16Rick Steiner
33:17becoming the next
33:19World's Heavyweight Champion?
33:21I can't
33:22and I should know
33:23because I used
33:24to be his manager.
33:26What an embarrassment
33:28it would be
33:28for WCW
33:30if old dogface
33:31upsets
33:32that beautiful
33:33hunk
33:34Lex Luger.
33:35Steiner would probably
33:36order milk
33:38at a cocktail party
33:40or something.
33:41The really sad part
33:43of the entire situation
33:45is that Steiner
33:46has already proven
33:47that he can beat Lex
33:48and he can do it again
33:50when they meet.
33:52I'm Missy Hyatt
33:53and this has been
33:54Missy Does the Mail.
33:54Wrestling fans,
34:08the following contest
34:09on TBS
34:10it is set for one fall.
34:12Introducing first
34:13from Detroit, Michigan
34:16weighing 265 pounds
34:20Rick Steiner!
34:23Here's a poll in
34:25from East Ridge, Tennessee
34:26to once with 34 pounds
34:29Jim Bond.
34:32Dogface gremlin
34:33Rick Steiner
34:34ranked number four
34:35in the world
34:35and he is
34:36thinking about one thing
34:38and that's live
34:39here on TBS
34:40Tuesday, November the 19th.
34:42He's got that gleam
34:43in his eye
34:44because he'll have
34:46his brother Scott
34:46at ringside.
34:49His mom and dad
34:50will be watching
34:50on national television
34:51and he will go
34:53for the richest prize
34:54in the sport
34:55when he takes on
34:56Lex Luger
34:56for the world title.
35:01Again, fans,
35:02we'll have that
35:04exclusive footage
35:05for you tonight
35:06on WCW.
35:09A lot of you
35:10have perhaps seen
35:11the videotape.
35:13For those of you
35:14that have not,
35:16it is really something.
35:17I have never heard
35:20an explosion
35:20in a building
35:21like we witnessed
35:25on that take.
35:26So it's going to happen
35:27tonight on WCW,
35:29the Luger-Rick Steiner
35:31altercation.
35:34Luger is deeply
35:35concerned about this man
35:37and rightfully so.
35:39What elevation!
35:41And he is sending
35:44his 360-pound bodyguard,
35:47Mr. Hughes,
35:48to meet Rick Steiner
35:49one-on-one tonight.
35:53Steiner has a lot of fun
35:54getting around,
35:56but I got a feeling
35:57he'll be dead serious
35:58tonight.
36:00Mr. Hughes
36:01is a very,
36:02very deadly individual.
36:06He's going to outweigh
36:07Rick about 100 pounds.
36:09But he doesn't care.
36:12Rick Steiner
36:13is afraid
36:14of no man,
36:15I can assure you.
36:17Just like you heard
36:18on the interview.
36:19He's not going to be
36:20pushed around
36:20by anyone.
36:26And I think
36:27Rick and Scott
36:27would have been
36:28very content
36:28to wrestle
36:29for the world tag titles
36:30until Luger
36:31had to come out
36:32and make a
36:33just a real
36:35pompous jerk
36:36of himself.
36:39And Rick
36:39may be simple
36:40in a lot of ways,
36:41but he's got
36:43the heart of a lion.
36:45And he is not
36:45going to be
36:46intimidated
36:47or not going to
36:48back down
36:48from anybody.
36:50And I cannot
36:51wait until
36:52the clash
36:53Tuesday,
36:54November 19th
36:55for that matchup.
36:59As a matter of fact,
37:01that situation
37:02tonight is going
37:03to be something too.
37:04Diving through
37:04the ropes,
37:05left our cameraman
37:06standing flat-footed.
37:09He doped
37:09through the ropes.
37:13Hammers his opponent.
37:18Irish whip in.
37:19Steiner line.
37:25All-American
37:26at the University
37:27of Michigan
37:27who was always
37:29the smallest
37:30heavyweight
37:30in the conference,
37:32always gave away
37:33a lot of weight.
37:34I don't think
37:35he ever realized
37:36it.
37:36He is a real
37:38competitor.
37:40Bell in the valley.
37:42He snaps it off
37:43from the second
37:44turnbuckle.
37:48Wow, what a victory.

39:58Well, I'll tell you
40:00something, Rick Rude
40:01is a phenomenal athlete.
40:03He is as tough as
40:04anybody that I've been
40:05around in a long,
40:06long time.
40:07But it has been a long
40:08time in his
40:09professional career
40:10since he has competed
40:11with the intensity
40:13and with the
40:14physical nature
40:17that he will see
40:19here in WCW.
40:23The primary thrust
40:24of his competition
40:25the last three or four
40:26years does not have
40:28the in-ring intensity
40:29that he's going to face
40:31in WCW.
40:36Paul E.
40:36dangerously came in.
40:38The Halloween Havoc
40:39said that he was
40:39going to bankrupt
40:41WCW,
40:42bring it to its knees
40:43by destroying
40:44all its heroes.
40:48And he's going to
40:49start right at the top
40:50with the most popular
40:52athlete in WCW,
40:54and that's the U.S.
40:55Heavyweight Champion
40:56Sting.
40:58really think it's going
41:01to be a phenomenal
41:02match.
41:03Sting and Rude,
41:05and you can see it
41:06live right here
41:07in prime time

41:12The Stinger Splash.
41:16Followed by the

41:19Rolls him over.
41:24Sets back.
41:25And it's going to be
41:26a submission victory
41:27for the Sting.
41:28Here's your winner,
41:29the United States
41:30Heavyweight Champion,
41:31Sting!
41:32Sting!
41:36Sting's certainly
41:36looking sharp there,
41:37and as I mentioned,
41:38Sting has his hands
41:39full right now
41:40with a tremendous
41:40challenge from
41:42Ravishing Rick Rude,
41:43now managed by
41:44Paul E.
41:44dangerously.
41:46We'll talk more
41:46about that tonight
41:47on WCW.
41:49Now, as we mentioned
41:50earlier in the broadcast,
41:52tonight on WCW,
41:53we will bring you
41:54the exclusive footage
41:55of the violent,
41:57volatile altercation
41:58involving Lex Luger
42:00and Rick Steiner.
42:02For those of you
42:02that have not seen
42:03that piece of
42:04videotape,
42:05I don't want to
42:06spoil it for you,
42:07but Rick Steiner
42:07does prove that he
42:09can, on a given day,
42:10be the next
42:11heavyweight champion
42:12of the world.
42:13And speaking of
42:14Rick Steiner,
42:15tonight on WCW,
42:16he will be facing
42:17Lex Luger's bodyguard,
